“I gotta say that Chicken Shack chicken is the best fried Chicken i have ever had, regardless of which one you pop into.I hadn’t had KFC in like 23 years, and I remember it being awesome. And seeing as how they don’t have a Chicken Shack around me, i hit their crib up fer some extra crunchy. That junk was extra soggy & gristly.The Shack also blows away Zenders in that freak Bavarian type place in Frankenstein. They just flood u with their all u can eat gimmick, but their poultry products are sub par.The Shack coleslaw is also over the top tasty too. I think they must add sugar to it er something, because it’s like candy.So don’t skimp, and drive the 20 mins to get ur 2 piece lunch pack today!!!Oh, and fer atmosphere I prefer The Shack location in Lincoln Park. Being downriver I sorta fit in better (is that a good thing?). Plus it’s right down the street from where my friend Ashley lived with her husband. So if I got hungry parked down the street waiting for her husband to leave, it was the perfect location ?“

“I went to The Eagle for lunch and it exceeded my expectations! The food was truly delicious. The chicken just about fell of the bone of my drumstick and the mac and cheese was the perfect creamy, yummy side. It was also a cool vibe! As a Detroit resident I love that there's a new place to watch a game that's not just a "sports bar." The service was great, bathrooms clean, and just a 10/10 spot!“

“Overall a really good experience. I've been looking for some Nashville Hot Chicken in SE Michigan that isn't Dave's Hot Chicken and popped in here. I ordered the "Hot Chicke" chicken sandwich.The chicken itself was well cooked and moist, and much higher in quality than the chicken at Dave's. There was a good ratio of coleslaw and pickles; the coleslaw tasted great, I'd love to grab it as a side next time. The sweet pickles added some sweetness for balance.I ordered the "Hot" spice level which had some kick but wasn't near "Nashville hot" as the menu describes it, in my opinion. It felt more like Nashville mild. If you love spicy food or you want a more authentically hot style chicken, I'd go for something more than "Hot."I didn't try the sides as I was in a hurry but I'll check them out next time. I do think for charging $2, they could offer a larger fountain drink size. It didn't matter much with my meal as it was only a sandwich, but I imagine if you get a side or two or you order a multi-piece chicken order, you'll want more drink. Especially since most people will be ordering something spicy!Service was friendly and my food came out pretty quickly, although I only had a sandwich so it wasn't much.I don't normally go in this area but I will keep it in my radar for when I'm out this way.“
“Tried Dave’s Hot Chicken few times in Toronto, nothing like this one. “SPOILER ALERT: THIS ONE IS WAAAAY BETTER”.I love the color and the crispness of the tenders, went with HOT. “The food was amazing! It was our first time and we loved it. The service needs a lot of work. There was a line but it moved fast and we were quick to place our order. It took 40 minutes to receive the food after ordering. Everyone else was receiving their food after a reasonable wait time except me and the couple that ordered right after us. I had to ask at the 30 min mark and then finally received it at 40 min. We ordered to eat in but received it all in a take out bag. We ordered a #1 (received a #1 but charged a #2 on the receipt) a #3 ( but only received 1 slider, tender was missing) and a #4 (but received and extra slider). We made it work since we got the total # of chickens that we asked for and could not wait any longer for them to correct it. The dining room is a mess! We were there for well over an hour and not once did anyone come out to wipe down tables as diners were leaving. Everyone that came in had to sit at a dirty table if they wanted to dine in. An employee, in uniform, was eating at the far back right corner table during dinner rush ( Friday night 5:30). When the employee finished they also did not wipe down the table and left it dirty for the next diner. The overall service is unimpressive for a location that just recently opened (Cicero, NY). We will go back because the food was fabulous but we will not be dining in and will definitely check our order before leaving.“

“Edited from last visit some years ago... HUGH IMPROVEMENTS.I went the day before Christmas Eve to try catfish and chick to taste. Came back Christmas Day because some family members don't eat Christmas ham or beef brisket. Chicken was hot seasoned well just delicious. I really love the guy help people take food to car with large orders.“
“The service was great. The lady taking orders was very helpful and polite. We were driving through the area, and my daughter wanted chicken. We didn't know at the time that their fries and fried chicken came with a lemon pepper powder. So i tried to brush off the powder. I do think they should be telling this to people when they order. My daughter said the chicken was delicious and everything was very fresh. It's not really a place you go sit down and eat. There's only a few tables inside, it's more for carryout.“
“Our normal chicken and waffle spot so happened to be closed, and we stumbled upon Bella's chicken and waffles, and this was the best find! The sugar pearl waffle is thee best and the chicken was just so perfectly fried and juicy!!! This is now going to be our new norm chicken and waffles spot! 5 stars hands down! The only down fall is there no sitting options, but it's still worth 5 stars!“
“Ordered the huge New York Style Supreme and it pretty much was the best pizza I’ve eaten.Just enough sauce which most other pizza joints lack although, I expected more toppings quantity especially the pepperoni.All in all, the pizza had great taste!Wish they made the NY one in a smaller size. It only comes in 20”.The box is huge so good luck fitting into your refrigerator if leftovers exist.We’ll have to try the traditional smaller size next time. The New York Style Supreme came to $36 total but keep in mind, the 8 slices are huge and the single pizza is comparable to two large pizzas.Reheat test:In reheating the NY style, it came out perfect at 375 for 5-6 minutes on a preheated ceramic stone. The bottom crust has a very slight crunch with everything else heated enough to melt the cheese while not drying out the remaining toppings.One of my favorite places for pizza now!!“
“Over all they're food is always fresh or their always willing to drop it fresh. Service is pretty much friendly and polite. Taste is always consistent. And they have various deals and specials. One of my favorite places to get quick fried chicken.Vegetarian options: Fish and shrimp items available on the menu. “Gus's has the best chicken in Detroit and it's not particularly close. I feel like it has almost become underrated with time, but it still holds up.Gus's is one of the only places where I enjoy White meat. The chicken is that juicy. The collard greens are also awesome. This chicken isn't at all like the standard fare around town. It's got a unique batter and taste that I've yet to find anywhere else.The staff is incredibly nice and your food comes out promptly with any sort of modifications you want.Again, there have been a lot of new options for food that have popped up around Midtown. Gus's is still one of the best around and needs to be checked out. Best chicken in Detroit“
