“Situated in Wayne, Michigan, The Avenue American Bistro distinguishes itself through exceptional culinary expertise. The establishment masters the technique of harmonizing bold flavors, crafting decadent dishes that consistently entice patrons for return visits. Notably, their menu boasts a standout item the crispy chicken sandwiches an exquisite fusion of textures and flavors. Additionally, the inclusion of delightful mocktails deserves attention, as the scarcity of restaurants offering fresh and invigorating mocktails makes The Avenue Bistro stand out. The restaurant's steadfast commitment to delivering a consistently satisfying and flavorful dining experience solidifies its status as a culinary gem.“
“I used to order food from L George's all the time when I was working and sometimes after I retired my daughter's decided we need to get together once or twice a month to eat out and L George's is one of our spots my grandson approved ?“
“Great breakfast! The blueberry compote pancakes were really good. The vanilla latte was perfectly made! Great service with many options. Danielle was great as a server and was cordial. The atmosphere was inviting and is a relaxing place to enjoy company.“
“Food was excellent, the decor was nice with what looked like trees that had very pretty blossoms on them. They also had animal heads on the walls which are not my favorite decor….. but it is a restaurant that serves exotic meat dishes, so it makes sense. Servers were very nice and food came quickly. All in all a nice place to eat“
“Moana and Abraham are the sweetest people you can meet. The food is very tasty, from shawarmas, lamb chops, to deboned chicken. Everything I've eaten has been satisfying. They offer dine in or carryout. Stop in and give them a try! Let them know Lamar sent you.“
“Good spot for a quick dinner and watching live sports if desired. Our waitress Cheyenne was very nice!Recommend especially if you need to go to the airport afterwards which is only 15min away and there is mall right there.Parking: Easy and accessible“
“went and got a chicken shawarma from the food truck on Grand River and livernois, I wasn't pleased with it I'm not used to my chicken shawarma being made like a panini. the chicken was a little dry and he could have put more garlic on it. but I'll be back to try other things. I'm just not used to my chicken shawarma being hard or crunchy.“
“As a Ukrainian, I know how to make my mom's varenyky (aka pierogie) and my aunt was the "Pierogie Lady" at her church for 25 years, so I like to think I have some credibility. We got about 4 dozen, including a "mystery" dozen. We just finished the mystery dozen a few minutes ago, and they were all fantastic. The galumpky were fabulous as well!. 1000% would recommend, we will be back.“
“This place is a MUST to visit!...the food alone is a great reason to make this place a regular because everything is homemade...even the sauce and chips!!!...we usually come every Sunday...but Thursday is ladies night, with great specials...so we have incorporated other days into our busy schedule... because we have nothing but fun...if you're looking for a laid back place, with tons of fun...this is the place...see ya Sunday...✌️“
“Supernatural is pretty amazing! The staff are really cool, friendly, and did I say cool?! Seriously, I have been going to Supernatural for a little over 8 months (I never knew it existed before then) but I am glad I made that first visit!! The food is great, the beer is amazing!! Shadow Realm is one of my favorites (Oatmeal Stout) and being British by birth, trust me when I say I'm a bit picky when it comes to beer. These guys have it nailed. BTW... Li'l Nicky... You rock! I just tried the Ginger Jalapeno brew that you made me for my birthday and that stuff should be on tap... hopefully it will someday soon! Keep doing what you do guys!! You can bet I'll be back again... and again... and again!!“
“I can’t recommend this place enough. The portions are big enough for dinner and lunch the next day. And the food tastes amazing. Souheil the owner and the general manager Randy doesn’t disappoint, the wait staff were very polite and spot on making sure our drinks were full and when we were ready for boxes they had them ready for us. They never made us feel rushed to leave. Just about the best restaurant I’ve been able to check all the boxes of things I expect. Thank you Souheil, Randy and staff.“
“Stopped by here because my friend had just finished up derby at Riverside arena. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly late night staff (even on a weeknight) who let us stay until the late hours just chatting. Good prices for standard bar drinks. Can’t speak for food if there was any. Decent amount of seating for a side bar. Would recommend if you are passing though or a local.“
“My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club on June 24, 2023. We were thrilled with how friendly and accommodating all of the staff was during our wedding day. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how the food was delicious and how they loved talking to our bartenders. The venue also accommodated some of our guest's dietary restrictions and our bar menu. We planned our event with Debbie. She was helpful and organized. She couldn't make it on our special day, so Nancy filled in during our rehearsal and wedding day. Nancy was also very helpful, accommodating, and kind. The ceremony space was beautiful! It included an arch with white flowers and greenery draped over it. Our only complaint was how hot the reception hall was. Some of the guests said they were comfortable with the temperature. It was a very hot and humid day outside. The building is a little bit older so it was difficult to regulate the temperature. Overall, the Lakes of Taylor Golf Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. Our package included two entrees at the buffet, a wedding cake, table linens, and bar. The price was perfect for everything included in our package. The location is close to the airport and great for having a ceremony/reception at the same venue. We couldn't be happier with our choice!“
“Been here last few years a bunch of times. Food and service has always been good. Not the best though. The other day, I asked for a special request and I was told it couldn’t be done.—-Look. I get it. It’s very difficult to chop and toss a salad when the place was not busy....that was supposed to be a joke.---What ever happened to pleasing the customer. It's not like I was trying to get something for free. WTHI will not come back with the family! Sorry You just lost a semi-regular customer. We even supported you guys during the Pandemic. There are plenty of other places to go.“
“The menu is so big!! Food very tasty, had homemade frys, so good! ? Ribs are meaty and fall off the bone, very good! My boyfriend had the walleye, super good! Best waitress, Judy H, this woman is super efficient, knowledgeable about the menu, very on top of picking up dirty plates, she was awesome!! We will go back just because she was so warm and accommodating, and the food was wonderful ❤️“
“Ive been here a few times to delivery throne chairs and marquee numbers for a party there event space is huge and they’ve made some updates to the flooring. The space can hold a lot of people and every party I’ve delivered to here seem to be a good party and have a nice turn out.“
“Although I now reside in Arizona, Michigan is home for me, but I've never visited this restaurant. I would always go to Canton L' George Coney Island. No to go there anymore. I visited this restaurant Tuesday Dec 19, 2023 and have not stop talking about the food, the service (Carol, just beautiful, she reads the table very well, she knows her customers even if it's your first time there [had to give her a 25% tip]), the taste and the quantity. Imagine, when you get a lot of food and it's just bland, that's not Telegraph Grill Family Dining at least not this location. The food was amazing. I had the Chicken Skillet, eggs over medium, it's hashbrowns with onions, green bell peppers, mushrooms, I added spinach, pepperjack cheese and a Belgian Waffle. My daughter had Strawberry & Banana French Toast, Son-in Law had Chicken Pita Wrap, Mom had regular sausage, eggs, pancakes, toast. When I say the photos does no justice, you must try it for yourself.“
“The cocktails at the ebenezer are nothing short of spectacular. Each drink is carefully crafted with premium ingredients and innovative combinations, showcasing the skill and creativity of the talented bartenders. Whether you prefer classic cocktails or adventurous concoctions, there's something on the menu to delight every palate. The attention to detail extends beyond the drinks to the service itself. The staff at The Ebenezer are passionate about mixology and hospitality, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring a memorable experience for every guest. One of the highlights of my visit was the music, adding to the authentic speakeasy atmosphere and creating a vibrant yet intimate setting. And the food is amazing. In summary, The Ebenezer is a hidden gem that captures the essence of the Prohibition era while delivering modern-day excellence in cocktails and hospitality. It's a must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts and anyone looking for a truly unique and unforgettable night out.“
“I was in town to photograph the Detroit Free Press Marathon. Some of our photographers stayed at the hotel so we decided to eat there while we had our team meeting. The food was delicious! I got the Hollywood Bacon Cheddar burger with fries. The service was excellent also! It was a nice and cozy atmosphere.“
“The food is fine, honestly. What stings is the post 9-11 airport prices that mean I'm forking over money as if I were in a Michelin-starred restaurant in Manhattan for things I could otherwise get at Panera. The waitress is Wonderful, and very patient with my groggy 'i slept five hours in the last 48' brain and has decent suggestions and didn't even blink when I needed something changed.Vegetarian options: There are some, but this is definitely a place that caters to omnivores, and they don't do substitutions really at all.Dietary restrictions: There is turkey bacon available in lieu of pork, but gluten is pretty prevalent and nothing is exactly healthy or low sodium, say, unless you want the yogurt and fruit.“
“1st time going to this establishment was today for my granddaughter’s baby shower. I can honestly say the food and service was awesome. My daughter is a picky eater and doesn’t care for eggs but she ate salad and quiche and loved it. I would definitely go back and recommend it to my family and friends.“
“A better than 5 star restaurant in all respects. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this restaurant - the drinks, the appetizers, the entrees, and the fantastic service. Our food was cooked exceptionally well and was mega delicious, it was brought out on cue when needed and was hot, the beer was cold, the portions were large and the price was reasonable for such a spectacular meal. We shared the fried green beans appetizer, and had the smothered chicken breast/vegetable blend, loaded baked potato soup, side salads, chicken parmesan, been soup with ham, draft beer (from their awesome selection) and a dirty martini. We can't wait to go back for our second time here. Kudos to all the staff, chefs, and management for putting together such a well orchestrated customer oriented team. I almost did not put in this review as we got the last spot available in the large parking lot - should the word get out to everyone, and then where would we be if we could not get in to our new special restaurant discovery?“
“Waited 20 minutes after I placed my order to try and contact me to say they didn't have the supplies to complete my order. I understand that happens but call immediately not when the customer has already almost driven there and everywhere else is almost closed. Food is good when you can actually get it“
“Excellent food! The salads are delicious. The mixed plate is very tasty and feeds more than one. Prices for dinners range in the $15-$20 for mostly a very good carry out business. The service is good. Be prepared to wait a little because the food is made fresh. Mostly an excellent carry out venue.“
“Everything they serve is tasty and filling but not too filling...if you know what I mean. The portion sizing is perfect for me since I prefer to split my meals into multiple servings. Then again, I tend to get a couple different breakfast orders so that I can mix and match them because I can never settle on one thing or another. It's always nice to find a restaurant that allows me to indulge in a reasonably priced buffet of options that I can create myself. ??“
“The service is the best Amy is always friendly, sweet, & on top of everything. She gets to know what & how you like your orders very quickly. The breakfast are basic & good. I would like to see more variety & definitely fresh fruit such as berries & bananas to go on the French toast, waffles, & melons added in for a side. Would also like to see fresh greens for eggs, more cheese options also. The restaurant is a nice welcoming place to enjoy breakfast & some conversation. I eat here even when not staying in the hotel.“
“I went in to meet some friends to watch a Lion's game and had a great time. The Dawg House wait staff is very friendly. It's a great place to watch a game because of all of the televisions that are all over the building. I was also happy that they had Sugar Free Red Bull, Corona Light and Keno. A lot of bars in the downriver area don't carry these items. If you want a clean place with a friendly waitstaff, I'd recommend the Dawg House.“
“Best burger place I’ve had in a very long time. I’m from out of town and it was recommended to check out this place. The shake was ?. The food was ?. The set up was super cool. Very friendly staff and customers. Def was awesome! Wish we had one of these in Grand Rapids!“
“It was a Sunday. We were out all day on Saturday, drinking. I needed a nice dark place for brunch. I needed a pub feeling. It was dark and cool inside. We were the only ones there so we got really great service.Basically it's exactly what I needed for a hangover. Great food. No loud noises. Dark enough and cool enough. Refills without even having to ask.I had the Po-boy... It was really good.“
“Tasty and delicious food. Fresh, hot and well presented. Had the Broccoli & Ceddar Soup...which tasted homemade. My Aunt had the Onion Soup. Similar to French Onion. It was very good but too many crutons inside she said. Also had the Cauliflower Bites and the flavorful Cod Sliders. Topped that off with the Parmesan Garlic Fries. My Aunt had the Chicken Wrap.Staff was very attentive, nice and really fast! I definitely recommend this place.“
