“Truly one of my favorite places in the Twin Cities. I feel so lucky to have this in my neighborhood! Good coffee & tea with creative specials (I'm 99% sure they make syrups etc in house), great sandwiches, small but very solid beers on tap ...plus books! and friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Tiny lot in the back off the ally but frankly the free street parking is even more convenient. I order all of my books through them and I really enjoyed a book club I did there last spring & I've been meaning to do more. Also this is where I stop for a lil treat - currently the amaretto mocha, but they seem to always have at least one seasonal special I'm into.Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly“

“This place is great - food and drinks are very good. I just can’t give it 5 stars because of the lack of recycling and composting for trash. They serve drinks in plastic or compostable cups, but there was only one trash can that I could see. Nowhere to recycle the plastic or put the compostable cups. Very disappointed.“

“I love this place, the food is delicious and it doesn't take forever to arrive. It's a fast paced environment, but at the same time I feel like I could lounge there all morning.Parking: If you go during the busiest time, expect to have a hard time finding parking because the parking lot is to small for the number of businesses. You may have to park a block or two away and walk.Wheelchair accessibility: Pretty standard handicap accessibility.“

“What an amazing restaurant the food was absolutely delicious. I got the combination Guanaca and it was well balanced and delicious. The fried plantain really added an extra layer of texture and depth to an amazing meal. Our server was very professional and friendly and really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. Hopefully if we are in the area again this is a must stop. I will be recommending this restaurant to my friends and family.“

“The food was genuinely amazing, best cafe/Diner hashbrowns I've had in YEARS! and the server Mai was extremely polite and pleasant to interact with. Most meals are close to 15$ which might seem slightly pricey but it's genuinely worthit for the quality of the food. The coffe while simple is delicious as well, if you get some 100% get their reccomended house made French vanilla cream with it, it gives it a dulcé de leché flavor and is a 10/10 on flavor.“

“My husband and I finally checked out this neighborhood spot for dinner and loved it! We had a the Cajun cheesesteak, mushroom Swiss burger with watermelon mojito lemonade. Tasty baked fries and yummy dipping sauces.We took a piece of cheesecake to go and wow! It was top tier! Obviously some secret family recipe made with love and well-honed craft. 10-10.We're excited to come back and try the bowls and other cheesesteaks.“

“Well, I'm hooked on this place now. Having never visited a Cafe Ceres in my 8 years living in the Twin Cities, I now know what I was missing. The ambience is calm inside. Penn can be a bit busy but sitting on the porch outside is also a good spot on a nice day. After a coffee and snack there are other businesses in the area for errands like the hardware next door. Food The pistachio croissant is perfect. It has a creme on the inside and pistachios crushed on top. I have to assume all the croissants are this good. We also had the breakfast sandwich which comes on an English muffin and they allow you to substitute meat with avocado without an extra charge which is appreciate for those avoiding meat either altogether or for that morning. Coffee So far I've only had the espresso and I would rank it in the middle of available options in the Twin Cities. It's plenty caffeinated enough yet it seems like each time I get a cortado it tastes different. If you strive for consistency, then perhaps the coffee would be more up your alley. If you like the barista's touch each time, then the espresso is good and will get you where you're trying to go.“

“Ate dinner here on recommendation of a friend. Great food, served fresh, hot and fast. Had the spaghetti and garlic toast special. Was delicious. Huge serving also. Hubby had the grilled ham and cheese and subbed onion rings for the chips. Another winner. Had strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert- was really good and hit the spot. Laura was our waitress, attentive and friendly. Will be back!“

“I've been with every iteration of the Smith House and this one is my favorite. The customer service is consistent and only matched by the drinks. The food could be elevate a tad more based on price but I dint discourage folks from the menu. The one and only issue that every customer has is parking. The lot is tooooooo small for the number of people they are able to serve. Subsequently customers park along the drive I to the lot causing tones of chaos and potential accidents. I'm frankly surprised the EP City Commissioner hasn't stepped in. So, I suggest car pooling if possible.Parking: Parking is limited! Carpool if possible.“

“Cool place, good vibes, okay service. Living in the North Loop I have the luxury of having amazing cafes to benchmark them against. Food was great, don’t get me wrong. But prices are extremely high compared to higher caliber food in the North Loop. $5.75 for just a croissant? $15 for a croissant with prosciutto and cheese? You can get the best ham and cheese croissant in the city at Bellecor in the north loop for $6 and the best breakfast sandwich in the state for $15 there as well. Don’t want to distract from how great our food was here, but won’t be back given the value. We spent over $50 for a breakfast sandwich, slice of banana bread, a prosciutto croissant, an Americano and a chai tea latte… that’s a lot. Saw a couple come in, look at the menu and then turn around and walk a block down to Turtle Bread instead.“

“This bakery is in a fun neighborhood setting. a lot to watch in this open venue. It should be noted that it was quite noisy if this is important to you.There is a wide selecting of eye popping bakery goods that the customer can help themselves to with plates nearby. In addition to the bakery goods is a menu of dishes to order from at counter. We enjoyed the establishment enough to come back the next day for more! I ordered the huevos rancheros on my first visit. This was a yummy version of the traditional, dish with a nice helping of guacamole, a hefty serving of fresh bread, and tasty spice coated roasted potatoes on the side. My only suggestion here would be smaller pieces for more of the spice flavor.On our visit the following day I ordered the chorizo burrito, another very good choice. Not too spicy but hit the spot. With my burrito I chose a salad. The salad was plain but had a nice dressing that complimented the salad well. I dont know that I will choose the salad for breakfast again but I did manage to start the day off with another vegetable credit this way!“

“Love this little gem in Richfield! Finally got the chance to go and was not disappointed at all. Showed up after noon and they had plenty of options: hot, cold, room temp, you name it they had it. We went for the olive cheese bread, orange cloud cake (may have that name wrong), caramel almond pastry, Portuguese egg tart and iced latte. It's dangerous eating here as you can simply walk right back to the pastry case and buy more on your own time. Everything was fairly priced in my opinion especially considering the quality. All pastries were fresh and delicious! Coffee was also good! Will definitely be back!“

“Such a cute cafe! They have a really nice seating area indoors as well as a couple tables outside. I ordered the Breakfast bowl which was delicious! The tater tots were seasoned perfectly and the aioli added a great flavor. I also had an apple juice but they have a wide variety of drinks on the menu. I did order this to go, but the service was fairly quick and the people are nice! Definitely would recommend!“

“It's decent, and they have a pour over. I don't know that this is the best roaster in the city. The pour overs were all on the weak side, and the beans I bought ended up being a little rough. I like the place and the people there were nice. I don't know that they have their roasting dialed in, however.“

“Welcoming & a Vibe. This is a real gem, a diamond in the rough. There is no place quite like Cafetto. It is punk, it is cozy, it is filled with music but it’s peaceful at the same time. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and apt at making the perfect cup of joe or chai of choice. If you need a place to vibe, work, or have some fun (especially with the plethora of pinball machines in the basement), this is the place to be. I just wish there was a location in St. Cloud, but to me this place alone is worth the drive!“

“Had the most lovely Mother’s Day Brunch at this establishment! My daughter-in-law made an 8:15 reservation. While it was extremely busy, the food, drink, and service were great! Our server, Torry (sp?) was just lovely! The Mothers received a special little gift - it was unexpected but very special! And while the main courses (quiche, eggs Benedict, hash, pancake) were delicious, the Strawberry Shortcake was out of this world!!! Been dreaming about it since we devoured it!!! “This brunch spot is adorable and has excellent food and drinks. The service wasn’t great - no one explained to us the self serve area vs full service area when we walked in, just stared at us. Another group walked in behind us and the staff then proceeded to explain everything quite kindly to them. “Disappointing experience. The server came at once and brought my 2 year old juice immediately without asking me, her mother. Luckily they didn't charge for it but I see in the menu they could have. The server didn't know what mac and cheese was, so I had to point to "macaroni and cheese" on the menu. The sign that brought us in said "$8.99 Special Omelet Seniors 10% Off." I was happy to go in for an $8.99 omelet and after consuming a coffee found out the special was French toast. The sign meant seniors get 10% off omelets. Don't want to ruin the business with less than 4 stars but won't return.“

“I discovered this coffee stall while exploring Minneapolis on a layover. (I'm a Flight Attendant from Los Angeles). This hole in wall gem has the BEST latte ever and is truly a hidden gem in Minneapolis! Somalian Latte & Somalian Chai Tea are my new favorite treat! This place is super simple and NOT fancy, but GOOD!!! And only $2-$3! It's inside the Karmel Somalian Mall on the first floor. I didn't try, but their mango smoothie I saw then make looked so good! Iman Cafe just across is also amazing!“
