“Don't play with them ok!! This gem was a great surprise that served up AMAZING food, OUTSTANDING service and a BEAUTIFUL color concept. We went for lunch and enjoyed every bit of it! Our server was Bobbie he was knowledgeable and had plenty of excellent suggestions for us. Oh and make sure you ask him to tell you a bad dad joke lol The food was plated beautifully and the flavor combos were refreshing and a total party in your mouth. We had the sweet potatoes to share then we each had an entree the Ivy burger and the BLT and finally we shared the brown butter cake. The sweet potatoes were yummy and the sauce went with it so well, burger was so moist it was dripping with juicy flavor after each bite, fries done to perfection ( I love a good fry especially one u can't eat naked without anything), the BLT had a garlic aioli that I loved and a fried green tomato sealed the deal and last but not least that brown butter cake with Marscapone cheese OMG it was sooooooooo good and all the flavors complimented each other. One of the owners Viorica stopped by the table after we were done to introduce herself and chat for a few. I thought that was super sweet!! Overall this place was FABULOUS and I can't wait to bring my husband back to try everything. Great concept, nice location and love the decor ❤️ Thanks for a great lunch!!!!“

“I have a ton of food intolerances (nothing anaphylactic) and I rarely eat at restaurants because of it. I was so impressed with their willingness to help me find a meal I could eat! The manager himself stopped by to make sure they had the list of allergies correct before they placed the order. It was one of the best salads I've ever had! I didn't even think to take a picture, but I'll just say it was beautiful. :)Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating. I'm grain free, dairy free, nightshade free, legume free, and cant have most oils except for olive oil.“

“Had a wonderful dinner date here on a Wednesday night. It was still a very busy night for the resturant, meaning there were some tables that were spaced inches apart in the main area and making it loud enough that conversation was occasionally difficult to hear. The food though, was wonderful. We started with a couple of cocktails, the Mamakuna and La Clandestina, both of them were tasty, being fruity and light, in their respective ways. The first food we got was the masa & guacamole along with the corn elote, which go together in a fun mix-n-match way. For mains, we got chicken tinga tostadas and the seared scallops. The chicken tinga was a lot of savory deliciousness without being to heavy and the seared scallops were full of vibrant flavors, and surprisingly spicy with the salsa macha. And of course, we got the churros for dessert. They were fun and tasty, with the dulce de leche and sweetend cream, I definetly favored the cream, but I'm less of a sugar person.I would love to go again, but I think I will wait until the patio is open to get some more elbow room and bring down the noise level.Parking: The parking lot is very small, fewer than a dozen spots. There is plenty of street parking, but it's a busy area.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no curb on entry. The entranceway is pretty tight, it's got a straight hall to the left inside the front door, straight to the front desk. To get into the seating area is a right turn from facing the desk.In the seating area, there is very little room between tables, to the point where some of the tables are literally inches apart. There is a wide through path to the back of the building, where kitchen and restrooms are located. The restrooms are roomy but have low toilets.“

“We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. No matter what plans you have this is the spot to be! A huge thanks to Lake and Irving for all they did for us and a massive thank you to Chris the chef! “Absolutely phenomenal food and experience. Our server Louis was beyond amazing as he took the time to explain the dishes, cocktails, and so much more. Hat's off!Speaking of dishes, the bison tartare was increibly good, but we were blown away by the flavor of the duck ragu in the Torchietti. We had it made gluten-free to accommodate my wife's dietary needs, and the pasta was still delicious! We didn't stop there, adding an order of the pork chop for me and Alaskan halibut for my wife. The flavor profile on the pork chop dish was insanely big, bold, and wonderful. It was such a contrast to the halibut, which was also wonderful but much more delicate. Both were great. We were stuffed. There was no room for dessert, but since we had let it be known we were out celebrating a special event, we were not to leave without a wonderful little celebration treat. It was much appreciated! Our seating was at the Chef's Counter, and it couldn't have been more perfect. It gave us witness to all the incredible work going on in the kitchen as well as all the dishes that were getting prepped. TheDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-free, and not only do they accommodate this with some of their dishes they go above and beyond to communicate between the waiter and kitchen about the dietary needs. This shows up starting with bread basket modifications, moves into extra tasting bites supplied to us from the head chef, and follows through to all our entrees and special desserts. Phenomenal staff coordination and cooperation.“

“Our server was there when we needed them, didn't come and talk to us with seemingly no reason.Food took about 30 minutes, on a decently busy night, so that was nice. The atmosphere I love, got window seats facing towards regional center road and nice view for a decently sized city. Didn't like the pop music, but that I'd what you get when you go to a restaurant in the city.I had the burger with no tomato, no secret sauce and avacado. Massive burger, came with fries and lettuce and pickles, had to put them on myself. Couldn't finish the whole thing but was AMAZING. Burger cooked well, no overdo on the sauce or anything like that. Came with what I think was cheddar, but don't wanna say for sure, good quality cheese though.Overall 14/15 because the atmosphere matters, but not that much when the food and service is just that good.Parking: Parking is good, lots of spaces. Handicap parking out front of the restaraunt.Kid-friendliness: They have good kid options for food, ans give coloring stuff to the kids that come.Wheelchair accessibility: There are large wheelchair restrooms along with there being no stairs in the restaurant to get anywhere, and handicapped parking out front.“

Dinner

“This is the finest dining in Minneapolis, hands down. I went in February 2024 and everything was executed with meticulous care. Every single dish was perfectly balanced. There was nothing superfluous, nothing too heavy, nothing too acidic. The wine pairings were well thought out. Also, none of the staff forgot I was a pescatarian at any point. It was also the perfect amount of food. For the quality of the food the prices were extremely reasonable. I have been to most of the fine dining establishments in the Metro and don't think the others, like Travail or Spoon and Stable, which are amazing in their own right, can really compare to Tenant. This is where you bring a true foodie if you want to impress them.“

“My bestie and I needed some fuel after a day at the Canterbury Spring craft fair. We wanted to try somewhere new with variety. Nachos were on the mind. Stopped in around 5pm on Saturday. Parking lot and restaurant was packed. We arrived and were greeted right away. Asked if we had a reservation which we didn't, but were seated within 5 minutes. I was a little shocked as it's very rare to be seated that quickly with a reservation. Our waitress Emilee was so friendly and did a wonderful job. She brought our beverages right away. She checked in often as well. I ordered the smash burger and my bestie ordered the nachos and side of French fries with a side of garlic aioli sauce. Unfortunately, the French fries were not hot, so we asked for new ones. Smash burger was fantastic. Hot, juicy, and just yummy. My bestie said nachos and French fries (once the new ones came out) were good. Nacho portion was huge. Next time, ask for more meat and maybe not so much queso, but overall tasty. The dessert menu had both of our favorites- key lime pie and chocolate cake. Of course we had to order it, but we asked for it to go. Let me just tell you, I wish I would have ordered dessert to start. Chocolate cake was amazing (sorry, forgot to take a photo). So chocolatey and the frosting amount was perfect. Key lime pie was good too. It was like a whipped version which was tasty. During our visit the manager stopped over to ask how dinner was. You don't see that too often so that was nice. Restaurant was big. Seating is also available outside as well. I thought it was neat how there were umbrellas on the ceiling- unique. I'd like to come back and try the pizza and more chocolate cake.“

You do need to pay in advance which I don't love but also makes sense and makes it easier at the end of the night. We were in the upper part of the restaurant and we just had a blast. Not only was the food fabulous, the service is quick, witty and top notch plus they have events and small moments throughout the evening to make it fun. We did trivia during dinner but they also had music playing and interactive food stations. For this feature the mozzarella and cacio e Pepe from the cheese wheels are to die for. ““At The Block, the culinary road trip was as delightful as a smooth drive on a set of fresh tires from Suburban Tire Storage (STS).”Starting off, the pork belly appetizer was sweetuptuois - a term we’re coining right now, much like how we at STS coined the most hassle-free tire storage service. The corn fritters were a revelation, flaky and sweet, like the satisfaction of finding the perfect winter tires for that first snowfall. The ground chicken sandwich, masquerading as a burger, was a bit on the dry side, needing a sauce as robust as our tire protection guarantee. The dry rub, however, was as reliable as our delivery service - decent and dependable. The Royal with Cheese? A double burger with a hue as vibrant as our STS logo, reminding us that sometimes, the best things in life are bold and straightforward. The beer selection was as varied as our tire inventory, suitable for a business dinner that doesn’t skimp on quality or value. And the atmosphere? The indoor patio was as inviting as our STS storage facility, especially when Keith graciously opened the windows to merge nature with nurture.“So next time you’re cruising through St. Louis Park, pull over at The Block for a bite. And when it’s time to switch those tires, steer into Suburban Tire Storage - where we treat your wheels like gourmet meals.”“

“Came to Char Bar for the first time for happy hour on Saturday with Kim T. Char Bar is a speakeasy on the inside of Butcher & Boar (through the glass doors). We arrived around 4:45 pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crazy busy, we were one of a handful of tables. The hour menu was pretty good! A good amount of food and drink items ranging between $6-10. I had the Chicken Sammy ($10), Kim had an Arby's style 3 Way Beef & Cheese sando ($17), and we split the Curly Fries ($6). I also ordered two of the non happy hour burgers to go ($8/each). I really liked my sandwich a lot, chicken was perfectly crispy, the slaw was savory and sweet, Polynesian vibes. I would absolutely get it again! Kim liked her sandwich but she said the sauce was too much and soaked the bottom of the bun, the curly fries were fine. I had a dragon tattoo cocktail, serenity pineapple rum cocktail, and a frozen rum & cherry coke slushy. Drinks were boozy but pricey! Loved the menu showing the drinks very cute and visibly pleasing. Update: Butcher Burger ($8) was sensational! It's no Parlour Bar burger but it's sooo good, tasted gourmet and traveled well. Fun fact: the restaurant group over Parlour Bar also owns Char Bar! I liked the pickled onions and the chipotle mayo cheese sauce, good solid burger for a good price!“

“I come to and enjoy Brasa consistently enough that I should finally write a review. The short: service is consistently friendly and helpful, food is consistently good, great gluten-free option with (thus far) no cross-contamination incidents, and a very casual atmosphere. All of my friend group have different favorites: the egg sandwich, the pork bowl, the chilaquiles (my personal favorite.) Every protein comes in different forms: a plate, a sandwich, or a bowl. Most options (except the sandwiches and a couple of sides) are gluten-free. Quick run down of what I've tried: * Chilaquiles with red sauce (the GOAT): the red sauce is such a great flavor and pairs well with the smothered chicken. Their pickled jalapenos and an egg on top makes it a perfect weekend lunch dish. * Egg sandwich: the red sauce reappears on this, to great effect once more. Otherwise it's a simple-but-great egg sandwich served with their tortilla chips. * Fish sandwich: not bad, not my favorite. Flavors are not as punchy as the other options I've had. * Mac and cheese: delightful and simple, thick cheese sauce, no complaints. Crispy yuca, fried plantains, sweet cornbread, also all good. Really, the menu is full of great options. Their beverages don't disappoint either, the coffee and tea are very nice quality -- tea always comes out with a great color and flavor (not bitter at all), coffee pleases even the pickiest coffee nerds in my friend group. Also: no tipping, service fees are built into the menu prices.“

“In the past, I’ve had great experiences here. I’ve brought several friends for their first visits. Food and drinks are great, always; tonight was no exception. Tonight, however, we had such negative experiences with staff. Our table wasn’t ready as reserved. It happens, usually no big deal, but they told us it would be just a minute and they’d let us know. it was 15 before I went back to the host table to ask about it and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. At the time three people were behind the host desk and I had walked by three servers chatting on my way in). Because of this, we lost one of the people who was going to join us. Another member of our party had to get to work (the reason we had reserved a time) and by the time our table was ready, he didn’t have time to order an entree. To be fair, we did have two people who were supposed to join us not show up and I understand that’s frustrating, but we were the ones who DID show up and had (or tried to have) an app, entres and multiple drinks. Besides the app coming late (with the entree, even though I asked a second time about it before ordering the entree), one of the entrees we ordered was wrong, but we had given up on anyone caring by that time. It felt like we were an inconvenience to the hosts and our server. I think he actually may have rolled his eyes more than once. I felt like I was somewhere that needed table turnover or at a dive bar where polite service isn’t really an expectation, but there were open tables near us and we didn’t complain about our late table or app. And we communicated about our absent party members as best we could once we knew. Usually, we tip really well because we’ve worked food service and understand it’s hard work and stuff happens. We understand EVERYONE is short-staffed right now, but we are still paying for a babysitter and nights out are precious, even when expected friends have things come up or don’t have time to wait for a table. If I want someone to roll their eyes at me, I’ll stay home with my teen and do it for free, thanks. Sincerely, it doesn’t take much to satisfy us (a couple weeks ago we tried Colita for the first time and our table was over an hour late, but the staff were polite and did their best to make our experience pleasant and I didn’t feel like I was a burden despite the extremely busy restaurant) but tonight after waiting, then a couple attempts to flag down the server so we could get home to relieve the babysitter, my husband finally had to go look for the server for a box (for the wrong entree that we didn’t finish) and the check. I know staffing is short right now and customers can be super-rude, but we aren’t rude and this was too much. No matter how good the blueberry smash and location on the lake are, I don’t think I’ll be back, and definitely not with friends. And I don’t think the two people who joined us as first-time guests will be back either - they were already skeptical about leaving the cities but I said it was worth it. Not tonight, it wasn’t.“

“Food was good but it was super slow service, there were maybe 5 tables in the whole restaurant at the time we got there. The waiter just did not seem to care about the tables either, just very lackadaisical. There were only 2 tables in his section when we got there, he checked on us once after our order.“

They usually have a dj which is awesome. The waiters are super nice and helpful and do their best to serve you. Overall this place leaves up to its name. Very laid back like you're in your living room getting ready for a pregame. Enjoy!“

“I've had the burger 3 times and it has never been good, always over salted and over cooked. Their fried chicken sandwich however is very well made.Servers have been friendly and prompt every time. The ambience is great, the lights are dim, and it feels cozy. The music however is way too loud. At the bar, it registers on my Apple Watch at around 78-80dB.The cocktails are easily the highlight. I've had a few of the house cocktails and they've all been top tier. They also make the IBA classics extremely well. They're brave enough to offer to put an egg white in the whisky sour and it definitely pays off.“

She had excellent timing - knew when to pop in for refills on drinks and waters and overall had a very positive attitude and vibe. We had the Burgers and fries for dinner, and they were amazing! The French Fries are addictive. The only bummer was the limited menu. Everything we had was great. We would have loved more food offerings. “We love Duke's! We loved it before kids and we especially love it after kids. It is such a friend, family, and dog friendly place. The staff is always super polite and makes great recommendations + the patio in summer or winter (covered) is the best atmosphere for littles. You can be away from the inside crowdedness and there's usually puppies for entertainment! Their wings never disappoint - the dry rub is so good + all sauces. We like to get all dry rub and sauces on the side. Try the whisky glaze! The royale with cheese is a go to here for us and everyone on the kids menu is practical and easy to pick from.“

“I have lived in Bloomington all my life and have never tried this place. I only discovered it through Yelp search and choose to try it due to the good ratings. They are strictly open for lunch 12-2 located on the first floor of an office building. Therefore, it gets very busy and loud in there for the lunch rush. They were very fast and efficient though. First time coming here I felt a little confused at how to order. If you can read signs then you will be just fine and can figure it out. They have the left side for ordering hoagies and they have the right side for ordering salads. They wood fire the pizzas and sandwiches and looked really good. I tried the oriental chicken salad and it was very tasty! You get huge portions for a great price. All ingredients seemed so fresh too! I was a little confused on the parking situation and may have parked in the wrong area. I parked where it said delivery's only but hey I didnt get towed. I was in and out in about ten minutes.“
