“I love this place. We always go for the hibachi dinners and they are so good (Yum yum sauce is essential). The staff is very welcoming and gives good service. I personally haven't had the sushi but I've heard it's very good as well. Pretty cool style on the interior, nice lighting, and a relatively small space which is nice.“

“Always a great meal at the Porterhouse. The quality is top notch, drinks are flavorful and the staff consistently delivers an exceptional experience (Pam killed it the last time I was there). The only downside is that the place is relatively small and they pack you in, so it can get quite noisy. You can definitely look past that though for all the other reasons I just mentioned.“

“This place is popular, and for good reason: you’ll get good food at more than fair prices, accompanied by great service. We have eaten at this Texas roadhouse location half a dozen times, and the service has always been exemplary.Chances are good that you’ll be greeted by a packed waiting area. I think the shortest wait we’ve ever had there is 20 minutes. (We’ve visited at both lunch and dinner times.) It’s not that they’re not turning over the large dining area quickly — the staff are hustling to be able to serve as many customers as possible. The servers have always been cheerful and exceptionally helpful. In my opinion, they’re the best thing about the place. The food is always tasty. We’ve sampled many things across the menu from ribs to chili to chicken to steak. Everything is very well prepared and tasty. Knock your socks off amazing? Not quite, but for the prices, it’s an excellent value. At my most recent visit, I ordered the Roadkill, which my server said, was very popular. I inquired what a chop steak was. She gave me a description that sounded good, when it arrived it became obvious that she had never eaten it before. You learn something every day: a chop steak is a hamburger patty. This particular hamburger patty… er, chop steak… was smothered in delicious onions and mushrooms and cheese with some tasty sides. Needless to say, I was not disappointed with the flavors, but did find it humorous when I pointed it out to the waitress. We both had a good laugh. I’ll probably order it again. My dining companions got ribs which were good (when they say “fall off the bone”, they ain’t kidding), and a chicken sandwich which was very good. For our taste, the atmosphere leaves something to be desired. The decor is cool and comfortable, but it is loud almost to the point of distressing. Some people may like that, but conversation is not easy. Your dinner may be interrupted by the most anemic line dance you’ve ever seen. The poor weight staff have to trudge to the center of the restaurant and go through the motions with some regularity as they crank up the music to nearly unbearable levels. (Closed circuit message to management: this adds next to nothing for the dining experience, and your weight staff obviously gets no joy out of it. It feels like it might’ve been cool… 25 years ago. Please don’t continue to force this practice down anyone’s throat.)Overall, we always walk away from our time at this restaurant satisfied with our meal and pleased by the service.Kid-friendliness: Loud, fun, kid friendly menu and atmosphere“

“Dinner was FANTASTIC!! We had a lovely meal and had an amazing server - shout out to Lauren. She even put in the kids meals as appetizers to come out first, without us asking, which was amazing. I highly recommend the salmon & au gratin potatoes. We used to come here all the time when we lived just down the street, but we moved across the cities and haven’t been back in a while. It was a great experience and we’ll definitely make the drive to come back. Atmosphere was beautiful; the warm lights inside are so cheery.“

“Way out in the country, at the end of gravel road labyrinth is blink-miss-it downtown Webster, MN: a dilapidated former gas station, some silos, a US post office and (attached to the post office) Rancheros -- a storied supper club with good German beer, a fantastic schnitzel special, and Sat/Sun prime rib. Since a small child have I dinned here - across decades of my life - and Rancheros remains the most delicious supper club. Ambiance: old Germanic supper club, the lore of this establishment is framed on the walls for you to read Service: good (some turnover but the lead hostess/owner, who has been there for years is phenomenal) Food: upon seating you will get warm buttery garlic bread and a cold relish tray with fresh vegetables and house pickled items; so come hungry. Overall menu is mostly standard supper club fare, but the best version thereof. Also German food including the "better than I had in Germany" schnitzel Drink: Paulaner beer is on tap! Imported from Deutschland and more delicious than your favorite brewery. After dinner ice cream cocktails are also fantastic. Tips - It's wayyy out in the country, so roll down those windows and play that John Denver song when you pull off 35W. - Arrive early for the Saturday/Sunday Prime rib special, it's slim pickings by 7pm. - Get the pork schnitzel, not the wienerschnitzel. - Aside from my schnitzel and prime rib recs, the Rudy's signature steak is a great tenderloin steak. Tenderloin is a bland but tender cut, recommend to be ordered rare (if you like medium to well done texture, then a ribeye may be better); the house Demi glacé and mushroom on top adds nice flavor. - The crab cakes are a good app. The frog legs were something I am not used to - sometimes ordering a "curiosity" improves a food adventure. - Wash your food down with Paulaner beer - When the meal is done order one of the ice cream cocktails. - If possible ask to be seated on in the back room. They remodeled the dining room for a cleaner look, but that old back room maintains the original charm. And before you go don't forget to check out their hefty wooden vintage bar. Order a shot of jaggermeister or a cognac at the bar - There is a very old park with a big slide and vintage merry-go-round in walking distance, at the Webster town hall. Facing the restaurant, it's a block behind and to the left. A good tradition to walk here after eating, soak in the all the rural Midwest. Weather permitting, it is a must!“
