Service is impeccable, truly old world generosity - we mentioned the crust was a tad on the burnt side the first visit and they gave us a free bowl of roasted carrots (which were also flavorful). The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. Cosmic Coffee feels like an old school coffee shop, the ones that were about people connecting with people. Actual real live PEOPLE!!! Not only was the coffee delicious- expertly prepared by Dusty-but it was so refreshing to be around people laughing, conversing and connecting not just working away on laptops. If you want a great cup of coffee in a cozy, warm space of brick, wood and eclectic decor that does not feel like a sterile white hipster tech haven, please please give Cosmic a visit! I had the country fried steak with grave, eggs, and hashbrowns. My wife had eaten the hashbrowns earlier for breakfast and really liked them - so I was happy to learn that they came paired with my entre. Mine were not as well-done as hers, but in fairness, she asked for extra crispy - I did not. So I didnt enjoy mine as much. I did, however, really enjoy my country fried steak. Known for its wood-fired pizzas, the space itself is bright and lively, adorned with a photo booth and a distinctive copper pizza oven named Lola, which adds to the restaurant's quirky and inviting ambiance. The menu at Pizzeria Lola offers a creative spin on traditional pizza, featuring a variety of unique toppings that cater to all tastes. From the classic Margherita to more inventive options like the Korean BBQ pizza, which includes mozzarella, scallions, arugula, sesame, and soy-chili vinaigrette, every pizza promises a delicious and memorable experience. The crust is expertly crafted—airy, slightly charred, and perfectly chewy, thanks to the high heat of the wood-fired oven.Beyond pizza, Pizzeria Lola also serves a selection of appetizers, salads, and desserts, all of which maintain high standards of quality and creativity. There are lots and lots of seating options, including a suedo "living room" showing movies, long "Munich Oktoberfest" style high-top tables, bar stools at the long and curving bar, and a number of intimate booths and cubbie areas to snuggle up with your "significant other".Insight has a large parking lot located on the West side of the facility, and is convenient in location being just a couple of blocks west of 280.Atmosphere is down-home comfortable, with a good mix of ages throughout the taproom. Great vibe! Dogs are certainly allowed, and there were many of them present last night. The taproom offers a wide variety of beers on tap, including 6 - 7 THC seltzers and limited release collab beers. There are also a couple of kombucha and soda NA options.Only downside for me last night was the strong smell of cleaning fluids wafting throughout the brewery. Granted, I showed up approximately 1.5 hours prior to closing, so the staff was cleaning up prior to close. But it was a strong smell just the same, and messed up my taste of the otherwise delicious beers I had there last night (I tried the Level Up, a classic American Pale Ale and their Night Shift - a delicious, heavy, dark and semi-sweet porter). In terms of the cleaning smell, I am thankful that they ARE cleaning the taproom with the strong chemicals! Good health for all!Overall, great experience at Insight!“

“This is a neighborhood staple that I’ve been enjoying ever since I moved here. Great food with a changing specials menu and affordable drinks! Plus tons of history. The bartender Connie is the best and knows everyone by name. Even the bus boy (Andy?) is always keeping the space clean and inviting. It’s a must in the Old Town area!“

“Shige-san was fantastic! It was such an amazing experience. Each dish was nicely explained, what it was, consisted of and where it came from. Little facts that we didn't even know. It was such a joy to converse and learn about Shige-san and his passion. The atmosphere was phenomenal and felt so traditional. The Blue-fin Tuna was exceptional along with the Wagyu. Sitting at the Chefs table is a must-do experience that everyone has to try. Getting to know these chefs and their passion is something you'll never forget! Thank you for making my husband's birthday one he will remember! We will be back!“

“I brought my boss who was visiting Minneapolis for the first time to this place. The pizzas were absolutely delicious. Though for some reason we only ordered four items and ended up spending $150. I’m not saying this is a bad thing, because he paid for the meal. So I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you for making corporate spend money on me. The staff were great and again, the food was incredibly delicious.“

“Absolutely love this place. We met the taproom manager who was a joy to get to know and we really enjoyed all the beers, especially the barrel aged selections. Darts and shuffle board made the night very fun with our large group and the bartenders were knowledgeable and accommodating! We will be back.“
