“Spur of the moment waffles!Went with some friends to 'fine dine' and have a good time. The Naughty Waffle hit the spot with the fresh fruits, and my friends were all over their Fat Andrew & Apple Streudel. The seating was chill, and the court atmosphere made it all the better.“
“Been here several times already, and safe to say this is my favorite place for breakfast in the Twin Cities and the best restaurant that's earned the James Beard award imo by far. My favorites are both the flap jacks and waffles, the hash browns, and the eggs; all made fresh to order! Love coming here each time for breakfast trying something new, or to get a usual. Service is always top notch. Very social atmosphere, and the staff is always happy to refill drinks, and help answer questions if you have any. Note that they use cash, and try to get here as soon as they open. Lines do occur, so plan accordingly if you need to wait.Parking: There are paid street parking spaces, and some free spaces to park in The Marshall Ramp, and the Identity Appts alleyway.“
“Went for Easter Brunch. I've been on the hunt for good brunch spots in the Twin Cities as a college student who often needs a Sunday afternoon rally. After all the places I've tried, Hope may just be the best the city has to offer.Hope, simply put, has its ducks in a row. The service is snappy. The 1-hr cap on dining time seems daunting, but you'll come to love it--it's a great way to keep customers coming in when certain types start sipping a little too slowly on their Captain Crunch cocktails. Being from the South, I'm used to brunch taking eons due to these types of tables. That's not an issue here! They're no-nonsense. Server was friendly and gave great recommendations. Every course was delicious and surprising. We started with the Captain Crunch cereal milk Rumchata cocktail and raspberry lemonade--both of which were divine. Very strong flavors that taste exactly as advertised. Not too sweet despite what others have suggested. I got the pimento cheese scramble with bacon and baby monkey cakes--good lord. Everything was out-of-this world. The peanut butter syrup on the monkey cakes is like crack--again, I'm from Louisiana, so plate-licking dishes are a high bar for me. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles with the incredible jalapeno syrup (great dipping option for the bacon, too). He's a chicken and waffle fanatic and has gotten it at every brunch place we've been to--this is the best!We will be coming back. Very reasonable prices considering the quality and inventiveness of the food as well as the excellent service and atmosphere.“
“Love this place! Coffee/pastries a level up from most coffee shops or bakeries. The good is fresh, fast and tasty!Parking: There is street parking on Snelling and also a private lot behind the store.Kid-friendliness: Special chairs and warm welcome to children. Owner and staff very kind/friendly!“
“Dined in on 3/25 and was greeted by Thunder who was very pleasant and inviting! He talked me through some great menu items and mock tails! I very much his service and the atmosphere provided by the Nicollet Diner! 10/10 will definitely be coming back!“
“When you walk in you will see a lot of pictures, art, knick knacks which gives this diner a great ambiance and a lot to look at. The food all came out delicious. No parking lot so you will need to find street parking and walk to restaurant.Kid friendly.“
“I enjoyed my dining experience here. There was an approximately 10 minute wait to be seated. We sat at the bar. I liked the seats because we could see the food coming out of the kitchen and the hustle and bustle of the wait staff right in front of us. My order was correct and the food was hot and tasted great. The pancakes are HUGE! Though I do not eat gluten, my date said his pancakes had a lot of blueberries and the taste was great! I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because it was noisy and music was playing overhead. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not it. The staff was attentive and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant ?“
“I went on a Sunday for brunch with a friend. The food is very yummy. I got the berry waffle and although there was only one waffle, it was huge. I love the berry to whip cream ratio. I also like the fact that they have you order at the counter and then they bring the food to you which makes the process easier and more efficient. I would recommend it if you’re in the area.Parking: Plenty of lot and street parking.“
“Ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. This was probably the best executed chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. The veg was fresh, bun perfect and toasted, chicken was thick and cooked in clean oil. The fries were probably top 3 fries I've ever had in my life, they definitely know what they are doing. Staff friendly, place clean, kitchen clean. Absolutely recommend“
“Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. My second time in. First time was much better. Good food but chef may have been a little rushed. Bacon a little burnt and eggs very bland. Not bad overall tho. I will return.Parking: Small parking lot behind the building. It was early on a weekday so it was not hard to park. Weekends may be busier.“
“Great food, wonderful service. Recommend the Greek Omelette - unbelievable. Largest side of bacon I've ever had and perfectly cooked. Oddly, for being named the coffee cup, the coffee is on the weak side. But once the food arrives who cares.“
“What a nice surprise. I usually judge a place by their ability to do something correctly, for this Eggs over hard. You would be surprised how miraculously some places mess this up. But Brothers got it perfect, first try. I will be back, great tasking food, cool vintage atmosphere, and great prices too.“
“The food is reliably delicious and the restaurant is always incredibly clean. My husband had a special request for his dish and the manager said "It's a good day to experiment!" They did it and it turned out amazing. Great service and big portions.“
