I had been jonesing for a fish fry for weeks and this one did not disappoint! The place was PACKED! Good sign. Great atmosphere and exceptional friendly service - again, the place was PACKED! The fish fry was deelish, and arrived in minutes. Was our first visit, and we'd definitely return.PS: Be prepared on fish fry Friday nights for 1+hr wait . . . unless you're willing to watch for a spot at the bar (which we did).“

“I only had a beer when I was there but others tell me their food is really good. It's a nice bar. I like the nice server that I had. The bowlers looked like they were all having a good time. Looks like a great place for families and others to come have a good time. It was busy on a Thursday night in the winter. People want to get out and have some fun after staying home for so long.“

“THE premier hockey bar in the Twin Cities. Atmosphere and decor are everything a hockey fan could want. The bar just keeps going, so even though it is packed, there is a place for everyone. The poutine is amazing, and I highly recommend it as a personal entrée. The service is quick and very friendly. Full bar and a good selection of draft beer. To top it all off, we got to meet the man himself. The only reason we left this place is because the lights came on and we had to go home.“

“We had the Nachos and they were the best Nachos I ever had in my life. They were LOADED. I have never had Nachos so good in my life. Our server, Lindsey was very polite, attentive, and personable. I had to ask for her name because her service was impeccable. If you go to Stouts, hope that your waitress is Lindsey because she is top notch. Stouts is pretty good if you want to try something new besides all the common fast food places between falcon heights and Roseville. We will be back. Thanks for a great time!“

“We were in town for a tournament my daughter was playing in. Pretty cool place. Dart tournament was going on and bar was full. Brian the bartender was on the spot and friendly for the crowd at hand. Nice not to be shadowed for not being a regular as you get at most other establishments. Good atmosphere friendly people. Will be back next time in the area.“

“Cool place! We were looking for a place to play darts, watch the Huskers (Go Big Red!) and kill some time before Pearl Jam at Xcel Energy down the street. Bartender was prompt and friendly. Able to sit at a table that had an open window. The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed the bar.“

“I've been to Lone Oak Grill twice. I had K as my server both times. It was a joy to have K as my server.All the employees I've interacted with have been kind. I asked one to stop over to inform me of the wifi password and she made sure I got connected. “Holy bananas. This place is great! Food was amazing, service was great, atmosphere was awesome for us. I say for us because it was right after open and it was empty. Right up my alley. The bartenders (Jaden I believe and another sweet girl but I didn't ask her name) were knowledgeable and friendly. Beer was fresh tasting. Food wise, the jalapeños tasted like they were just sliced. So fricken fresh and spicy! We got the totchos (exactly what it sounds like and DANK) and the firehouse 21 burger. We ordered it medium, didn't come out pink but it was so damn juicy and tender I don't even care.Overall, 10 out of 10, no notes. Even the burps taste good.“

“This place is AMAZING!! We held a surprise party here for our daughters 24th Birthday yesterday. Everything went as planned the bartender Lisa was phenomenal, the event planner Taylor was great she kept us informed and was in contact with us up until the date of the party, the food was delicious, and the new owners have put a lot of work into revamping and making the Dugout a great bar/restaurant. “Visit a couple times a year. Every thanksgiving a group of us play football in the am and head to Vogels to start the festivities. We invade and the bartender shows appreciation that we chose his bar. Pitchers of beer flowing and pizzas for about 25 people. Always a fun time.“

Definitely stop by and give this place a try!!Kid-friendliness: My friend and I take his 3 kids here once or twice a month. The kids loved the popcorn and root beer. A Random 3% charge (not explained) on receipt. Some chips had a rubbery texture (only some). I should have listed to the employee advise about the pizza fries blah at best, afterwards I felt for $15 could have purchased 2 KWIK Trip pizzas and been happier..7 of 10, marinara sauce was excellent. “This was never a high-class Society upper-class type of place. It was called The Little Dipper it was just your local little bar where you go get a cold beer. Since the movement of others from other states into the East Saint Paul rental districts the clientele has changed quite a bit. December 6th 2022 just last night a man was killed outside of this bar by the police. Just a few months ago in the summer 2022 there was a big shootout right on the corner almost right in front of this place. It's sad to see this neighborhood turn into Chicago but there you go.“

“I do not want to eat walleye tacos from anywhere else ever again. There are so good, I "wowed" out loud when I first tried them. The buffalo chicken sandwich is super tasty and well made. The loaded tots were a little lack laster for toppings and the cheese sauce was mushy (? I don't know how to describe it, like it split or something) - basically what we got didn't match what was expected by the pic. Again though, the freaking walleye tacos *drooooool*.“

“The staff are friendly and very nice, The baked potato I had was awesome. The grilled chicken was flavorful. The restaurant was nice and clean, which I liked a lot, they really take care of the dining area making sure the tables are clean/sweeping up crumbs. A great place to grab a bite to eat. The first time I went, the fries were overcooked and tasted terrible; Wont be trying the fries again!“

“Simply the best! They even remember my father's my father's order each and every time I go there. They take care to separate my order from my father's order, and my father and I talk NASCAR with the cooker a pleasant conversation. My dad, bread, and born in Chicago. Told me, hey! “I've gone here a few times in my life living in the neighborhood down the street from this place. It's been several names but now it's Cheer's Pub after the latest ownership change. They run a decent bar, seem to keep tabs on the patrons and it's a decent hangout. It's a typical neighborhood bar with a lot of regulars, cheap drinks, pull tabs, plus some stuff good...football nights, live music with local cover bands and some homegrown musicians, and Karaoke nights. The food here with the new owners is actually pretty damn good for a bar. I've ate here a couple times and I'd go back for those times I'm peckish and don't want to make anything myself (and they make a good drink). Simple menu: French fries, Mozzarella sticks, Jalapeño poppers, Hot dog, Slaw dog, Polish dog, Burger, Cheeseburger, Chicken drummies/sandwich/tenders, Catfish nuggets, Corned beef or Turkey sandwich.This time around I had the slaw dog (see pic) and it was a good take on a Chicago but with slaw...it's a beaut and tastes great, plus the fresh cut fries were the bomb.“

“What a fun and inviting atmosphere. The first thing we noticed is that the music wasn't blaring causing everyone to have to yell in order to hold a conversation. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were so friendly, attentive and fun! We had hamburgers which were good, but not spectacular. The tots and onion rings were great. You have the opportunity to try many different beers with a card. My husband had a most delicious Old Fashioned. My lager and pilsners were yummy. We'll definitely be back. If you're thinking about going here, just do it. It's worth the trip and a very fair value.“

“Excellent food!! Absolutely love everything I have tried. The green salsa is fantastic along with the queso fundido. Fajitas are seasoned perfectly and a little bit spicy. The only downfall is it’s loud inside and a little tough to have a conversation. Service is kind of slow because I think they only have one server. We waited awhile for things to come out. “I went there with the boys the other day and had a few pitchers. I ordered the Waygu cheese burger with bacon and one of my buddies ordered the ham and grilled cheese sandwich. The burger was delicious and not at all dry. My buddy said his grilled cheese sandwich was great. They come with battered fries which were perfectly seasoned. The only thing was, I wish they came with pickles. We are definitely going there again when we get together again.“

“It's surprisingly large. Even if the lot looks full, chances are good that you can get a table immediately. Service is always good, and they've got great specials. Especially happy hour! It's a great place to grab a burger or a couple tacos, and their chili is awesome. The biggest surprise was the salads, though. I didn't expect them to be that good at a bar & grill type place. If you're in the area, you should definitely check out the hoggsbreath. You won't be disappointed!“

“Last night we ordered delivery from green mill. My husband ordered fish and chips and had a big slab of fish that he said was so very good. I ordered the garlic and shrimp linguine in Alfredo sauce and usually I eat half and save half for the next day. Not this time!! It was so delicious I ate the whole thing. Good job“

“We visited this location for a holiday party. They had a lovely food selection. Well prepared and a great spread! Excellent variety. They had a section reserved for our group, so I highly suggest calling ahead for reservations if you have a large group. Lots of space to move around. Great entertainment. It could use some noise dampening panels in the main room, as the space is quite live. With several parties in one space, it was difficult to carry on conversation with people right next to me. Good to know for people with hearing disabilities!We had a great time! Would definitely return!“

“Dukem continues their legacy and everything is solid. I stopped in for dinner takeout. The customer service was fantastic. I ordered chicken wings, kitfo with injera, and fish key wot. The chicken wings were surprisingly some of the best I’ve had, crispy and juicy. The kitfo was amazing, perfectly seasoned and just the right level of spicy. The fish key wot was also quite good. You get a lot of food for the price so that’s another plus. Great service, food, and atmosphere at Dukem!“

“One complaint I always had about Docs was a lack of food. It's a great bar, great location, but eating when you have some cocktails is always food.I haven't been for a bit and in addition to the amazing patio and bag area, I saw they now have a food truck outside in the back. It wasn't open at 1pm on a Tuesday, so not sure the hours or the quality of food, but it's nice to see they are expanding the services and have added some food options. Menu looks food too. This place has always been a favorite of mine.“

“We hosted a retirement party here last night and it went great. People loved the food and service. We let Pillbox Tavern know ahead of time that a large group would be coming. They had a separate area of the restaurant dedicated to us that allowed us to mingle well. I would highly recommend this venue for others for group events!“

“It was odd that you have to show ID and they digitally take your picture before you can come in. It was loud, as expected, and lots of video games steins. The server was very helpful and nice, and the chicken wild rice soup was good. A bit disturbing was the very loud crashing of the monster Jenna puzzle when it fell a few times. I went there after playing a hockey game at Pleasant arena. I have another game there this weekend, and I’ll go back to the St. Paul tsp and have a juicy Lucy. A teammate had it and said it was very good.“

“No Host at door. Stood at bar 2-3min. There were several workers. Including management. I finally grabbed a worker ask for menu ..never got one from her.. then asked bar. . Very confusing to say the least then I could not order at bar... Finally a guy arrived to take orders who was takeout. Wasn't greeted entering or leaving. Nor thanked for business. But I still tip. The food was good.“
