“Moved here from Texas, I have owned a restaurant in the past. I evaluate food by flavor, portions, price and service. My experience with Cheese Steaks was pleasant and unique in that you don’t see walk up restaurants everywhere. The food was very good. Onion rings were crispy and well cooked. The Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was served on a fresh bun with all the trimmings that you would expect.Parking: I drive a f350 crew cab dually this truck is wide and long. Parking is a big part of whether or not I stop. If my truck fits then ther is room for everyone.Wheelchair accessibility: Cheese Steaks is located on a level lot with plenty of parking. Wheel chair access is not a problem because you are out side. There are no doors to deal with. This is a perfect place to go an a sunny day, you can have a nice meal and enjoy the fresh air.“

Four Brothers Mead Winery • $

“Been wanting to go forever, and finally did for my birthday! My wife treated me to their flight of mead, all of it amazing. We got a bottle of Yggdrasil Sap, and a small horn cup. Can't thank the staff enough! As a Norse Pagan and Lokean finding REAL mead is hard enough, let alone mead brewed by modern warriors! SKÄL!“

Tanglefoot Creamery Ice Cream Shop • $
1160B E Gannon Dr, Festus - 1.37 miles

“Maybe my perspective is different because I'm from out of town, and was looking for small hideaway businesses to experience something new. So, when I found this place, I thought it was charming. I'm no connoisseur of ice cream, so I'm not going to judge the flavor, but I can tell you that our party of six had a great time, and not a one of us was complaining as we scarfed down our treats. I asked for the addition of pecans, and I could not only taste them, but could tell that they were fresh as their flavor was intense and complex. My grandchildren were not as discerning or adverse to candy, and asked for gummies and Reese's peanut butter cups which vanished swiftly before my eyes. I wasn't shocked by the cost of the ice cream as I expected the cups to be somewhere close to $10 each. But I do think a good business practice would be to include pricing on each of the components of the dessert, such that a customer can budget their desires around their financial realities. A customer shouldn't have to wait for a "surprise" bill at the end of the order and feel overwhelmed with the price. Overall, the experience and cost was almost exactly what I expected, with the bonus of having an exceptionally young business person preparing our treats while chatting with us and answering our questions about her business. I recommend this place, and also recommend not feeling shy about asking detailed questions about the price for each of the components of your recipe if they aren't posted already or if you are on a budget. I give this establishment 5 stars for their family friendly atmosphere, originality, and for their personalized service. Go ahead and check them out and see if you agree.“
