“Just went to Chuck's on South Kingshighway (old Courtesy Diner) near Tower Grove Park. So glad they are there. What great food and service. Had 3pc tenders (Level 3) and Chicken Sandwich (Level 2). Both were great; good flavor, crunchy breading, and juicy. I prefer my chicken on the spicier side, so I'd go with Level 3 from now on. Pickles added great flavor and crunch. They have other higher levels of heat, as well as a Zero Level for those that just want great fried chicken. Also had the seasoned fries, which were hot and crispy; green beans (very good and typical southern style with bacon and onions); and slaw which we also really enjoyed. Finally the service was fast and very customer friendly. I recommend giving it a try and I'll definitely be back.“

But it was served on a bed of rice. the rice was good & fresh, but I don't know that I've ever been served a gyro without pita bread, maybe just me. Husband got the lamb plate. Again, served on a bed of fresh rice, but no pita. Often folks don't care for lamb as usually it is fatty & chewy, as was this. We have experienced places that serve lamb slow cooked & tender and that is what we'd hoped for. It was served with wonderful tasting grill vegetables. Very nice staff.“

“Hidden gem! Despite being hidden in a rather boring strip mall Cowbron truly stands out as a great Mexican restaurant. It's a relatively new spot, and as I mentioned it's pretty unknown, so don't expect to wait long for a table. I personally have eaten here about 5-6 times and have yet to wait for a table on a Thursday or Friday night. Don't be fooled, they are amazing but quite off the map in terms of nearby restaurants, which is how I account for their low wait times. The food is great! The fajitas are large portions, enough for two to split after a couple baskets of chips and queso, and they have THE BEST CARNITAS I have ever had in my entire life. As a former chef I can definitely speak to this as carnitas are a dish that take time and thoughtfulness to be done great, both of which are evident once you've tried the tender meat on offer here. As a regular to Mariachis II and La Catrina I can tell you that this place has earned a spot in my top 3 favorite Mexican joints in the city. Go to Cowbron!“
“Always wanted to try the pizza world joint since I lived in the area for 20 years about. I don't know why I never tried there pizza. It was super delicious and yes it's possible to mess up a pizza. Not pizza world the pizza was on point. Crust was perfect and very good to taste and perfect crunch (that's how I like my pizza crust). Was a little expensive but I'll take it. We will give a second go around another time to see if it's just as good. I would highly suggest the Via Bianco .“

I got 5 tenders on the level 1, because it was my first time and I didn’t wanna go too high on the levels and end up not enjoying it. If you’re a first-timer like I was, I’d recommend either level 1 or 2. One of my friends had level 2 and I was able to handle that alongside level 1. “I have been a fans of Canes for a long time. The breaded tenders and canes sauce have always been a craving of mine since I discovered its culinary wonders. Sadly the large tenders have gotten smaller since my last time visiting a canes. I know it's not Stl Cane's fault.. it's a corporate thing.. but it was a little disappointing when the tenders were no longer the largest on the market.. but the price remained high.. I'm in foodservice.. and I know how hard the industry is struggling.. but if you drop the size of tenders and charge the same price.. that's a little sad.. “The Hooters in South County is hands down the BEST Hooters in all of the Saint Louis area. Their wings are a great size. They aren't too small they always come out hot and extra wet just the way I like them. Their curly fries are crispy and have just the right amount of salt on them even though I always ask for extra on the side. The waitress are excellent and friendly. The management team will come through and ask how the food is. I've been to the other Hooters and the customer service is great their as well but the main thing that sticks out about the South County location is their food is always perfect to me.I've been to other locations and their food is just never on the same level. Their wings are too small and sometimes come out lukewarm. Even when asking for them to be extra wet they still look dry. The French fries taste like they have been under the warm for the longest time. I can definitely attest to this with the downtown location that just visited less than 3 weeks ago. I also will get this at times from the Maryland Heights location. The Saint Peters location does a pretty good job so I would rank them 2nd out of locations.But overall if you want some damn good wings, go to the South County location. It is definitely worth it. My favorite combo of sauces are the Mild sauce and Sweet Teriyaki sauce. Trust me it is amazing. Well done South County location.“
