Our waiter was Don, and he was amazing! Funny, great conversationalist and his recommendations for what to order were spot on perfect!! This was our first visit to J. Gilbert's and it will not be our last. Every single thing we ordered was prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. We both ordered the filet combo and it comes with 3 courses, including dessert. Mesquite grilled steaks, so if you don't like the wood smokiness, this is not the place. Caesar salad was good, and pretty large, but nothing special. Sourdough bread was delicious. Steak (filet) was great. I don't usually use steak sauce, but the house sauce was really good. My wife's filet was slightly under done. I had the scallops which were well cooked.
