We had not visited this restaurant since it was the prior Great Plains Cattle Company. The new Chop House has a more modern, refined decor but the biggest difference is the improved service and food. I was pleasantly surprised, perhaps shocked, by how much the restaurant improved (Great Plains was maybe a 6/10 whereas Chop House is a solid 9/10). I am sorry that the steakhouse that has always been there has since closed, because it was one of our favorite places to eat. We decided to try the new restaurant last night at the Ameristar and we are very glad that we did. The food we were served was perfect in every way. The service was also excellent. This location is a little less elegant than the one downtown but the food is just as good and as I said our waiter was very attentive. I would be happy to eat there several times...read full review

Mendy was our waitress and she did a great job. The food was delicious. I had the Burrata and Pear salad it is always so good. I also had the ribeye with mushrooms delicious and perfectly cooked. He had the Lobster Bisque, Prime Rib and truffle fries and said they were delicious! Highly recommend!
