I'm a native St. Louisan, and I have no idea how I didn't know about Gioia's most of my life when they've been around since the early 1900s. I found them about 5 years ago, and they have since become my favorite sandwich place in St. Louis. So excited to have Gioia's closer to my house! Same excellent sandwiches as the Hill area and other locations in town. Best sandwich in town. Lots of choices what you want added to their famous thick salami slices. Huge and very tasty sandwiches like nowhere else.

Holy cow, this place was awesome. I went with a group of 7 for lunch today. It was slammed with customers but they still got our orders taken and food to us in good time. The lady taking orders was fast and efficient while also being an absolute pleasure to deal with. The rest of the staff was just as good. I got the meatball sandwich and it was truly amazing.
