“I visited this spot on a whim, hungry after a workout and I'm so glad I did! It popped up on Yelp with great reviews so I stopped in. The service was great and the food came out fast. The smoked Turkey was super flavorful and tender. Definitely try the spicy house bbq sauce on the turkey and the baked beans. Chefs kiss. The greens weren't my cup of tea. They weren't bad, just was missing a little something for my taste. I would definitely go back next time I'm in the area.“

“We've been going to this bar and been through the different owers and we still go, love the place, only would like to put in 1 request a exhaust fan for the smoke. Gets very foggy when lots smokers come in my wife likes to come and visit her friends to but with only part of her lungs working she starts coughing. She had a p.e. but she still comes cause she enjoys all the people, plus when she gets to hear music thats not rap..“

“Never had a bad time, bartenders have always kept me entertained and the place recognizes regulars. Not a better bar around. Also, West Allen Grill does delivery’s to the place making it just a great spot for a night on the town. 5 stars all day.“

“Ordered an omelet and hash browns which were both excellent. Liz brought me some gravy to try and after having it I wish I had ordered the biscuits and gravy. It reminded me of the gravy I make. It had a little kick to it which I loved. Great out of the way place.“

“If you’re into dive bars this place is for you! Great small bar is a historic district. Has a homey feel & staff is courteous & attentive. Treats everyone as if they are a regular. A bit smokey so if you’re sensitive it may not be the place for you. Would recommend to anyone looking for the dove bar atmosphere without the seediness that typically comes with a dove bar.“

“This was one of our stops on the way to Iowa. Atmosphere was great. The bartender, Lauren, is awesome. They no longer sell food but there is a food truck which we didn't try this time. This will be a future stop on our trips to visit family.“

“If you want the best chicken modiga look no further. i have eaten this at a lot of restaurants including "Italian restaurants" that have no comparison to West Allens. The salads here are big and have a great amount of extras. If you like steaks look no further as they are juicy and full of flavor and the steak butter adds a nice touch. “We were recommended by a local as we were camping near by. Yes it is a bar but it is kid friendly till 9pm. Multiple TVs, video slot machines, golden tee, buck hunter, touch tunes jukebox which is posted no R rated music until 9pm to help make it family friendly....which I respect that having my 9yr old with us. Also smoke free. Service was great. She was quick to take our order and suggested some of her favorites which kind of helps if you are torn on what to order between(lots to choose from) Food was delicious. They have some fun options, my wife had dessert as an appetizer(lol). Funnel cake fries with powdered sugar with cinnamon dipping sauce(very tasty). I had the poor mofo wrap which was awesome. Son had the pretzel bites appetizer and a couple tacos and he is very picky about his tacos which he said they were good. We will return the next time we are out here. We had 3 sodas, 2 apps and our dinners and our bill was $41.“

“I played an APA regional singles tournament there. Plenty of pool tables and they really went all out to make it a good day. Seating left a little to be desired but there were a BUNCH of shooters there so it was probably a little more cramped than usual. The kitchen was not in full service so I can't really judge that. Bar staff was friendly and patient with the crowd. I'd go there again if I was out that way.“

“It's really great bar food. I recommend the fried Okra. The Rae burger and fries. The frech dip sandwich and potato salad were a plus. The layout is mostly restaurant, and there's a full bar off to the right. There's outside seating, but it wasn't open (it being winter might have been a factor). Parking is on the street, and some of the parking is "pull in" parking. The wait staff were very nice and casual.Parking: The street parking on both sides of the street, since the railroad tracks line the opposite side of the street.Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps (3 to 4) from the street level.“
