“Went searching for a Cubiano, and some Empanadas ended up in this great little spot.Met the owner and found out they started out in a truck now. They have two, and this location.Definitely will be back!Parking: More parking on the east (right) side of the building...“
“The food was amazing so really no complaints there at all. I think we tried everything they had on the menu and it was all so good. The ambiance would be my only critique and didn’t feel it matched the quality of the good but it wouldn’t keep me from going back.“
“I headed to Fringe Beerworks to hang out with a friend. Turns out, it's pretty awesome! Great beer - I had a stout and IPA, and both met-and maybe exceeded-my standards. The server was also very friendly. The cozy neighborhood bar vibe creates the perfect ambiance to enjoy your pints...and if you're thinking about braving the great outdoors, there is a nice outdoor seating area. We avoided that because of the scorching heat this time of year (July).Street parking is plentiful, and their location in Lee's Summit's downtown adds to the cool factor. They might have their own lot, but I didn't check since it was easy to find a spot on the street. They have both in-person and online menus, which is pretty convenient - you can peruse the beer list before you go, which I especially appreciate.Another cool thing - Fringe Beerworks spices things up with events like Game Night, which they were having the night we were there, although we didn't attend. So yeah, great brews, friendly vibes, easy parking, and a downtown location - loved it!“
“Good beer and regular flavor rotation while still maintaining a few popular regulars. Good selection of wines and liquor for any of the friends who come with but don't want beer. The place leans into the local history with sincerity and embraces the historic value of the venue and its location. They also cleverly make use of the "extra" space in their building by subleasing to additional businesses such as a flatbread restaurant, previously an art studio, and soon a salon. All good reasons to stick around for another drink. Easy going open mic night on Wednesday with a "come as you are, everyone is welcome" vibe. Bring an instrument if you play, come to clap if you don't.“
“Kyle serves the best curated selection of beers and whiskey, with plenty of wine and canned cocktail options. Love the laid back vibe. There’s plenty of board games available. We’ve reserved the long tables in the back to celebrate many occasions and I’m so thankful Oak & Steel is in the neighborhood! The pretzels are a fan favorite as well ?Parking: They will validate garage parkingWheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible with ramps.“
“Up-Down is one of my favorite places in Kansas City, and it's by far the best "Barcade" that I've ever been to. Full bar, 80s/90s/00s arcade games (that all cost 1 token), pinball, Skee-ball, 4-player Super Nintendo, a great rooftop and a large patio area located in the Crossroads. All of the employees and bartenders are fantastic, they have great specials, and the best part- 21+ all day, every day so no having to dodge little ones when you're trying to do your Mortal Kombat "fatality" combo! It's an amazing place to spend an afternoon- particularly when the weather is nice and they have the windows open! They always have some 80s/90s movie on, they play good music and they have some pretty solid pizza if you need a snack. Honestly, I can't say anything negative about it.“
“We were here once before, three months ago. The bartender/owner remembered us and what we drank. The wines were great and the atmosphere is everything you could want. Stop by they'll find a wine for you to love and relax with good people.“
“It is a tad expensive. However, the handcrafted cocktails where some of the best i have ever had. YUM! We had the lip sumacker, pomme diggity, wisteria lake and no more Mr rice guy and enjoyed them all! I will say, don't go in unless you're prepared to spend a pretty penny on a cocktial! We came in during Sunday happy hour and were told all cocktails were 2 off, however got charged full price for one of the drinks.“
“This place was perfect every bit of it can't even find a complaint for this place!! Came thru on a quick business trip wanted some premier bbq and I'll tell anyone this is the place! 4 hours from home for me but I'll be back again soon!!!“
“The Flying Horse Taproom is a neighborhood treasure. I came in regularly before they remodeled and revamped, and I liked it then. Now, I love it! First off, the service and the staff are excellent. Friendly, welcoming and efficient. . The flatbreads are my go to (the classic!) and they are the best. But, with the new menu, I've tried the chicken sandwich and the butter burger, both delicious. The Blue Grotto salad is very good as well. And, during happy hour you cannot beat the prices. I'm not a big beer drinker but I see people coming here all the time to taste the many beers on tap. When the weather is fair, the outside area is a wonderful place to enjoy with friends, and your pup. 5 stars all around for this gem!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Lots of families here during the day time“
“You come here after you have had dinner to get some GREAT choices for all kinds of draft. They pour the new Boulevard strawberry wheat that was smooth and so good. Lots of gathering space and cool industrial atmosphere. You can’t get food here, but any type of craft beer is here. Sea Dog on draft is here as well—awesome! This is where you want to meet up with all your friends to laugh and tell stories as you enjoy a drink or two or three.“
“Fast Service food is superb better than many of the bigger franchises we grew up on. Customer Service A1 where you actually feel like a valued customer. I do not know the guys name that helped us but he was on point and went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Thank you Hope your business thrives . Sky is the limit my friend “
“Was in KC for work a few weeks ago and stopped in here. The beers are cold and taste great. It has a great vibe also. I was only there long enough for two beers, but left with two new friends, three 6 packs of Fire Tree, and one 6 pack of Captin Holdens. Will definitely go back next time work calls me back to NKC.“
“Paul and Jacks Tavern was a great place to sit down and eat. Our waitress, Dawn, was very personable and quick with service. She made it an enjoyable visit and gave great service to a party of 20. Dawn needs a raise! Although the catfish isn’t advised, the seafood pasta surely is:) everyone else enjoyed their wraps. Plus, can never go wrong with a cheese quesadilla and sweet potato fries are highly recommended.“
“It's alright. Not great sushi but definitely not bad. A bit pricy for what it is, probably due to its central Brookside location. Sister restaurant to Jarocho which is a delicious Mexican style seafood restaurant. Wife is Japanese, husband is Mexican. The chirashi bowl was nice, lunch-only though.“
“I've been wanting to come here for a while, and finally got an opportunity to do so. Maybe being too hyped up beforehand led to a little disappointment than is fair (hence the 4 star instead of 3 to make up for that). That said, the atmosphere is really cool, and the 3 level bar with exposed brick is pretty sweet. It's borderline trashy bar and nice place to eat, which is an interesting edge to be honest. The food was hit and miss - the tacos weren't all that great, and the breading of the fried pickles was pretty hard, but the philly egg rolls are one of the best appetizers in the business. Absolutely must try, and I'll be back for more. The service was a little slow, but very friendly. Price was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it for a cool hang out spot and some decent food.“
“1 word to sum up this establishment: Exceptional. My wife and I have been regularly dining here (either in house or takeout) for over 5yrs, and I've been a patron longer than that.We have not only never had a bad experience here but we've never had a bad meal. The food is all high quality, well prepared and always delicious, and our favorite thing to do on Fridays is await what the weekend special will be. Jayson is an absolute master at his craft and has made a truly unique KC style pizza. The staff knows us by name and treat us incredibly well. My wife recently had a baby and not only did they express excitement when I came in to get an order for pickup since they hadn't seen us in several weeks, but they asked about my wife and in subsequent visits have asked about the baby.We recommend this joint to EVERYBODY.“
“Pizza is fantastic!!! It's one of those pizza places you keep thinking about long after you eat it. The beer selection is great too. Only complaint is the odd hours. Every time we want to go grab a pizza, it seems to be during their off hours. I do appreciate they have their updated hours on the answering machine when you call.“
“This is one of my favorite pizza places and this was the first time at this location. I met a friend for lunch on a Wednesday and got a large for the price of medium. We sat at the bar and had great service. The pizza was delicious as usual but it’s so hard to stop eating. I love the St Louis style. The wine is cheaper on Wednesdays also. They offer pizza buffet at lunchtime and salad bar which is a really good salad bar.“
“County Road Ice House not only has incredible food, the staff makes you feel like you're family! Josh and his team have always taken the best care of my family, my friends and I! They host fun Chiefs watch parties where I have met so many new friends. You can reserve their patio for PNL concerts and events! Their hospitality goes unmatched! AND THE FOOD IS SO GOOD! Check out County Road Ice House!! You will love it!“
“Ues, 5. The nostalgia got me for one. Two, the food and service was that good even at peak dinner time. Fresh basil on the za, so good. Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: My GF is GF lol funny when written out. They had her covered with the gluten free menu.“
“I visited recently on a Friday night, where they were quite busy. The chips and drinks were prompt, copious, and crunchy. Even though they were busy. I ordered the Tacos de Carne Asada. They came with the green chile sauce that was quite nice. And they gave you quite a bit of meat and they weren’t overloaded with toppings. Was it mind blowing? No, however, was the seasoned nice and was it worth the $12.99, sure. We were charged appropriately, and the waiter took good care of us, so would I go back? Sure.“
