“The food was delicious. We ate from the 2 for 25 deal. The services were large enough that we both needed a doggie bag. Our host was pleasant as he explained there was a problem in the kitchen and there would be a 15 min wait to be seated. I thought that was odd because the tables were empty and people were seated at the bar. But, ok. Our waiter was rushed, but he got our food right. He did check on us several times and even gave us to go drinks so that made up for it.“

“Family was looking for a place to eat while visiting KC, unique place for us. Menu was limited due to St. Patrick's day which was unfortunate because the pics online looked really good. That being said the food was really good. Even better though was the staff, very friendly and attentive, had 4 or 5 different employees ask how the food was and make sure we didn't need anything.“
“Visited Smitty's for a Sunday lunch: we ordered the Thunder Fries and the Sweet Oklahoma burger ($8.79). The service was very quick and the food especially tasty. The burgers are à la cart, so you have to buy fries extra but they are very shareable. Our bartender was very friendly and responsive. Compared with other locally-owned burger restaurants, today's experience was exceptional in the areas of creativity, taste, and service.“
“I love this place! I do not drink, but I love live music! This is a cigar shop, a full service bar, a smoking lounge, and a venue all in one very well packaged establishment. The venue room is separated from the rest of the facility. There is plenty of room to sit in comfortable seating, have a great smoke with a diet soda or water, and watch live music on Fridays and Saturdays.I recommend it for a music lover like myself that absolutely hates bars and alcohol.If you hate smoke, well then obviously this is not the place to go!“

Not so loud at that time of day that we didn't have to shout to each other to talk. The food was good. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Prices were good. I got the chicken quesadillas (plenty big plate) and a margarita, and my tab was $16.25. No, I did not go there at the busy time of day, so I don't know what kind of crowd would be there otherwise, but that's what we planned...a nice, cozy, comfortable place with good food, good drinks, no unruly children, where we could could catch up. I would go back again, so I definitely recommend it.Parking: It's like a strip mall, so parking was no problem at the time of day we were there, but I'm sure it can get crowded when it's busy.“

Chris came and spoke to us specifically about our steak and hamburger orders. Incredibly knowledgeable about how beef should be cooked to have the most flavor. If you are still reading this long review, you need to know what happened at the end of our meal to understand how truly amazing everyone is at Governor Stumpy’s. I had a medical emergency and was unable to walk. I was guided to a table and I lost consciousness. I’m not sure how long I sat there, but a doctor who was eating at the restaurant was immediately called over. I believe Chris stayed with me the whole time too. After 20-30 minutes and I felt I could move, Chris had her staff surround me and line up all the way to the back door (I’m pretty sure this is how it happened, but things were a bit fuzzy) to help me to our car to go to the ER. I did not want to have an ambulance come and they respected that. I am not a religious person, but I felt like Chris and her staff were angels surrounding me to help me through this scary situation. I am fine now and can’t wait to go back to Governor Stumpy’s. Thank you a million times over to everyone!“

“We had a soccer team event at this location this evening from 5-8pm. We had 40 people/16 different families. We contracted to have a room dedicated to our team. We also had extra people and spilled over into the main area of the restaurant. The staff members assigned to us were absolutely, off the charts amazing. Additionally, the other servers who were helping were fantastic. Everyone's individual check was correct. They were incredibly friendly, patient and helpful. Food came out quickly and was delicious. I wish I could give them more stars!! Highly recommend! Thanks so much for a memorable team event.“
