“I was visiting KC for work and wanted to find a place to watch the KU vs KState game but also be able to throw some darts. This spot had good online reviews so I stopped in. It was packed with a lot of folks ready for the game and some others shooting pool. As you walk up there is a patio out front with other folks sitting outside having a smoke or just relaxing. I'm not a regular there but had no issues getting service and felt welcomed in by others around me. Definitely a place I'll visit again when I'm in town!I did not eat there so I can't speak to the food.“
“I stopped for lunch today in Stillwell. Bought three Bourbon Burgers with fries . After getting back to the crew 10 minutes later and cracking the box open, I was immediately impressed with the burger and the fries. We are all over the city and have had many different burgers from well known spots. I have to say it was so great that I made it a point to drive all the way back to tip the truck an additional tip. I’ll be watching for this truck in the future. Top 5 burgers in KC“
“So this was a handy location for the four of us to get lunch. It's a nice pub with good parking and location. We were there close to lunch so were hoping to get a seat. Place was not busy at all... A little worrisome but place was friendly and service was good. Typical bar selections... Some with Aussie names. The burger was good. The chicken salad was good... And our modifications were all followed. The fish and chips were crispy with a good flavor and my wife was thrilled it wasn't beer batter. I had the pork tenderloin which was prepped just like my wife prefers them... Thin and juicy. My onion rings were also crunchy and hot. I was surprised by the lack of an Aussie beer. But I like Blue Moon and it's ok without an orange. Prices were reasonable. This is close to my brother-in-law's house and would make a great place to gather. If it was close to my house it'd been on regular rotation as we were well satisfied.“
“I was a little dissapointment in the food, change in the gravy for their chicken lips used to be really good country type gravy it was like a packaged chicken gravy wow Tanners really Go back to the way it was back when it was country gravy for real! Old school much better!! The food wasn't awful, but I know it used to be top notch this wasn't even close!“
“This place has some of the best pool tables in the area. And the staff is so awesome it don't take them long to remember your name and Jason's tournaments are so smoothly ran that I wish I could attend a lot more than I already do“
“Honestly, the main reason I'm posting a review is because the lady who wore the white bow in her hair tonight is absolutely stunning. But, I'm too cowardly to approach a lady while she's working. I'd rather be banned from Tanner's than not acknowledge how beautiful she is. She wasn't even my server.“
“I love Brewbaker's atmosphere and Happy Hour. The vibe is casual with good service, just enough attention without hovering. The food is always great and the prices are comparable to other local eateries. Will return over and over again.“
“really nice place.I don't just throw around 5 stars. The food was good. I would have liked the waitress to come by and check on our group of 9 more. some complained they would've gotten more drinks if someone would've asked. I person doesn't define an entire place. I'm sure the next time will be fine. great location and looking forward to being on the patio when it's just a few degrees warmer.Great place to take clients for an after hours conversation.“
“First time there. Great food, excellent service, nice patio seating. Madeline S. at the Olathe, Kansas location was kind, helpful, adorable and friendly. As female patrons, she made my friend and I feel comfortable and welcome. Thanks Maddie!!!“
“Visited Smitty's for a Sunday lunch: we ordered the Thunder Fries and the Sweet Oklahoma burger ($8.79). The service was very quick and the food especially tasty. The burgers are à la cart, so you have to buy fries extra but they are very shareable. Our bartender was very friendly and responsive. Compared with other locally-owned burger restaurants, today's experience was exceptional in the areas of creativity, taste, and service.“
“The food, service, and ambiance were amazing. It is a great place to enjoy some college sports or major games. The wings are the best in the Metropolitan area. They come out fresh and ready to go. Come enjoy a great experience at The Peanut in Overland Park, Kansas“
“The food was fresh and flavorful. What had the most flavor was the personality and presentation by our food server Brooklyn. Brooklyn knew the menu inside and out. She made our dining experience the most enjoyable evening in a very long time. With a server like Brooklyn, It is no wonder Nick & Jake enjoys the reputation it has.“
“Wow, what an awesome experience!! Looks a little iffy walking up but open the doors and it’s a whole different vibe. We’re from Iowa, here for a gymnastics meet. Best hidden secret in the area! Food was delicious and wait staff are on point with customer service. Fries, onion rings, fish and buffalo philly were all to die for. If we’re back in the area we will def. be back. Happy 1 year anniversary today!!“
“Went to the Bullpen yesterday for the first day of March Madness. I was blown away. The food and service were outstanding! I was with a group of 10 and between all of us we ordered most everything on the menu and not a single thing disappointed. I especially enjoyed the bang bang shrimp po-boy.Our server Beth was remarkable! She handled the entire bar by herself and we never wondered “where is our server”? She was able split our checks with ease and was just freaking awesome! Will definitely be going back.“
“I good place to go with the kids, or foe the adults to go and be kids. The food was good with larger portion sizes. I would say that the food was a little salt heavy.Kid-friendliness: My 10 and 7 year old enjoyed themselves with their friends.“
“Always a favorite! My husband and I love The Peanut! Expansive menu that's super affordable, and inexpensive drinks. It can get crazy busy, but I've never experienced less than stellar service. Favorite salad of all time (chicken bacon avocado for the win) AND my favorite nachos (hot tip, if you're ordering as a main, the half portion is PLENTY)“
“I don’t know if I’ll have room to voice it all! The burgers are amazing and so are the Reuben’s! Awesome surroundings, the whole staff/crew are the BEST! It’s a MUST GO! Becks is my new regular! Thank you for being absolutely AMAZING!!!!“
“We were a party of 14 with no reservations. They were able to seat us n take are orders within a few minutes of entering their establishment, even though they had a pretty full restaurant. The waitress was very efficient and they brought are food out within about 10 or 15 minutes. Everyone was pleased with their food.“
“We went on a Saturday night and were happy to have live good music and a mixed age crowd. There were not alot is staff for a packed crowd but wow they were killing it and service was super quick from the bartender to the server. Super fun vibe.“
“I've been wanting to come here for a long time. I've been missing out. Thin crust combo pizza was legit. Crispy crust with local famous italian sausage. Veggies were fresh, not canned. The chicken wings had a unique flavor sauce that grew on me and I wanted 6 more (they're the whole wing FYI). Had a pitcher of beer and the ticket was crazy reasonable. Great place.“
“This place should honestly be way busier than it is. My wife and I were there yesterday for probably the hundredth time, and we were talking about how this is the kind of place to bring family and friends that come in from out of town. It's so comfortable in the back on the patio, and it's honestly one of my most favorite patios in the city. This address has had issues in the past with restaurants not being able to stay open, I really hope this place is here for a long time“
“Great place to watch the game! Not a huge space but nice atmosphere and *plenty* of TVs if you’re looking for that. We both liked the food. I really enjoyed the jalapeño cheddar grits. This place seems to put more effort into theirs than many places do. The chicken quesadilla is good as well. Nothing special about the chicken itself but the red onion marmalade has a nice flavor and I think the flavor of the salsa was my favorite part. Good drink specials/selection and friendly service, this may be our new go-to sports bar.“
“Lew's staff is awesome! Sheady always has her head on a swivel, no such thing as an empty glass. Katie is another example of attention to detail... The list goes on. I have never had a bad experience with my time spent at Lew's. Fish and Chris have done an exceptional job hiring quality!“
“The food at the Denver Biscuit Company is absolutely amazing! We have the French toast biscuit with the strawberry compote and the shrimp and grits! Everything was well seasoned the biscuits were moist and light and filling. I’d definitely visit this place again if I come to Kansas City“
“Just found this place on line thought we would give it a try. Good food at reasonable prices. Couldn't believe the amount of different food choices. My wife loved the Chicago dog. They are hard to find. Might just be a new go to place when you are tired of the chain burger joints.“
“Great restaurant/bar to grab a quick meal or even a nice little get together with friends. Inside is very clean and spacious with friendly staff that are ready to serve you. Delicious soups salads and sandwiches to choose from on a full menu. One of my favorite places to go on the South side of the city. They will not disappoint!“
“Not sure why this place is never spoken of as one of the great KC BBQ places up with the others. The food is definitely a top 5 bbq in KC and the sauce is easily a top 3. It is a super casual place that just makes great food. I have been here several times, and the only downside is that the they are occasionally understaffed with waiters/waitresses which can make paying your bill a little slow. Other than that this place is great.“
“You get what you pay for. It's pricey for my frugal budget, but the quality and service were worth it. My friend was running late, and I needed to get going. So, I went ahead and ordered before he arrived. The waitress turned up the heat on the cooks, and they got both of our orders out at the same time so we could still eat together. Nice move!“
“When I treat myself to a burger, I want it to be great and it’s difficult to find places that cook to order and actually know how to cook a burger medium rare if that’s what you like. Absolutely nailed the burger and the onion rings. Great service as well!“
“This place is fun and relaxing. Just a few negatives but overall a solid choice for a sports bar option. Buffalo chicken dip-excellent Loaded potatoes/boats-excellent Steak salad. HIGHLY recommend this! Steak is great and salad is wonderful. Burgers and chicken strips-"ok" Tater tots were over cooked/roasted. Awful I tend to get excited about tots, so when they are over cooked it is a real downer.“
“I’ve been getting the seafood pho to go with extra spice about once or twice a month recently. It has a nice broth and the chili paste on the side adds the perfect heat and flavor. I really like the seafood they include in this dish. They are always timely on pickup and it’s still very hot.Vegetarian options: Veggie broth if wanted“
“We had never been to this Johnnys location and wanted to try it. Our server was a bit annoying. I'm in my upper 60's and this young kid kept referring to me as "boss". I ordered a burger and asked for lots of jalapeños to be added. When my burger came, i had no jalapeño and our server was chatting with buddies. This johnnys is better than 95th and Antioch but not as good as the one on 119th off Metcalf.“
“Food and service are consistently great. They have quite a few sandwiches, burgers, salads, and side options. I usually stop for lunch, usually on a Friday. It's bustling but under control. On my March '24 visit I was marveling at the communication and coordination between host, wait staff, and... Maybe kitchen expo? I don't know, but the food was getting where it needed to in a hurry and it was like watching a dance.“
“2nd time there. The sandwich I had the first time was better than the salad I had this time, but still tasty. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The front is a garage door so alllows lots of light inside. Many seem to like the metal cups. Will go there again.Parking: I was there early so found a spit pretty easily. Might be difficult if busy.“
“I had a business lunch and the place wasn't too busy so our waitress gave us a 6-top table so we could spread out our materials. Since they serve breakfast until 2 pm, I got an omelette and opted for the side of a biscuit and gravy. What a great deal! Food was great. Service was attentive. Great experience.“
“Party of nine girls brunch. Beware: Denver biscuit company serves big biscuits. Excellent 70s weather & sunny! FUEL French toast biscuit with compote & whip. Extremely delicious & filling. ATMOSPHERE industrial setup. Fast casual furniture. Spacious for mobility. (There's also outdoor patio.) SERVICE Dana was very fit full of charm. He kept track of orders & anticipated refills. He also took our group photo. Great vibes all around. I'd recommend for girls brunch, first date especially, long term relationships, family, & other medium groups.“
“Awesome spot for a patio lunch/dinner/drinks! Delicious food and great service. Pictured are the chicken enchilada dip, salmon salad (with cucumbers and tomatoes added), and the gourmet burger. Not your average bar food! Definitely recommend.“
“Love the food (reasonably priced). Both quality and quantity is absolutely the best bang for your money! I travel over 60 miles once a month, to meet a friend for lunch. This is NOW the only place we'll eat. There is no bad food here. The servers are friendly and make the entire dining experience GREAT! DON'T CHANGE A THING!“
“The LARGE pork tender with fry and ring combo and fresh horseradish was great. The service was excellent. She dropped by to check on us multiple times and kept our drinks full. It was our first time at this location, but it won't be the last.“
“Food - tasty pizza for sure Service - good Ambiance - can be "can't hear my self think" loud especially during Iowa Basketball season. Been going here in downtown OPK off and on for years. Consistently good food (at least the pizzas I've devoured). Located on 83rd you can get in via the front on 83rd OR park in the back, the south side of the OPK farmers market as well. Good tasty pizza with a thick crunchy crust and ingredients that are fresh and do NOT fall off upon you taking a bite. Granted they have one pie that has like 9 ingredients, and I haven't tested that....."future projects".“
“I went to Johnny's Tavern in with some friends and we had a lot of fun. The place was very lively and had a lot of televisions showing different sports games. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was fast. I cannot comment on the food or drink selection, as we did not order anything, but the menu looked varied and appealing. The prices seemed reasonable for the area and the quality. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, and we enjoyed sitting there. Johnny's Tavern is a great place to sit and hang out with friends and have a good time.“
“My wife and I can not say enough great things about Coach’s….. From the very friendly staff, amazing food and comfortable atmosphere. Look no further for the perfect place and for an amazing experience! The restaurant that you’ll always look forward to returning to.“
“Very disappointed this place has gone downhill! We are frequent customers here and loved taco Tuesday, but again today we had the worst deep fried tacos ever. Instead of putting the lettuce an tomato and cheese on top of my order of tacos ,could you simply take the time to open up the tacos an put them in there! Really felt like mashed up taco salad instead of tacos! And why do I keep getting 3 or more days old sauce? I spend good money here , but this is the last time! looking for another place to dine! Management needs to wake up and watch what your workers are doing! Really hope things change!“
“We booked a 2 bay party. The golfing was fun, but the food took a very long time to arrive and was cold when it finally did. It seems there are a lot of people involved in serving groups and I'm guessing they are sorry staffed as far as kitchen crew goes. Unfortunately it shows. We will still go to top golf for a fun time, but will plan to eat prior in the future and most likely won't be booking a party again.“
“Went for the first time last night. Saw an amazing band: TungTied. Had a few appetizers which were both great. The only thing that I was surprised at is that it wasn’t very crowded for a Friday night but I’ll chalk that up to people not knowing about it yet. We will definitely be back.“
“Our visit tonight was fine...but our waitress...she was the worst we have had so far. She didn't listen very well, not much of a people person kind of personality, and when we was done eating, we chatted for another 45 min and not once did she check on us. Will still come back but don't want her help. Unfortunate visit this round...“
“Social is undoubtedly a true sports bar gem that has won me over with its incredible atmosphere, friendly staff, and mouthwatering food. If you're a sports enthusiast, you won't want to miss out on this fantastic spot. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the electrifying buzz of sports excitement. The venue is decked out with large, high-definition screens broadcasting a wide array of games. Whether it's the big game or a lesser-known match, you can count on Social to have it covered. But let's talk about the food - it's nothing short of amazing! Social's menu boasts a diverse range of options that cater to all tastes. Whether you're craving classic pub grub like burgers and nachos or something a bit more gourmet, they have it all. The quality and flavors of their dishes are top-notch, and I've yet to be disappointed with anything I've ordered. What truly sets Social apart, though, is the staff. They're not just friendly; they're sports enthusiasts themselves. They go out of their way to make sure you have a memorable experience. Whether you have questions about the game or need a recommendation from the menu, they're there to help. And speaking of the menu, their drink selection is impressive too. They have a fantastic variety of beers on tap, along with a creative cocktail list that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the sports-watching experience.Social is more than just a bar; it's a community where sports fans come together to cheer on their teams and enjoy great food and drinks. It's the kind of place where you feel right at home, no matter which team you support. In summary, if you're looking for the ultimate sports bar with friendly staff and amazing food, look no further than Social. It's a slam dunk, a home run, and a touchdown all rolled into one. I can't recommend it enough to fellow sports enthusiasts and anyone looking for a fantastic time out. Social truly hits it out of the park!“
“We had takeout, but the food was very very good. The pizza was delicious. It had so much food on top of the pizza like it had all this meat every kind of meat and everything you want on a pizza minus all of the crust, but the crust did have was really delicious and I believe we also had the barbecue nachos day were very good as well. I just wish we could’ve gotten like fresh fresh and ate them but other than that it was really good.“
“We came here for date night. We had never been here before. Having gotten off work, we hadn't had dinner. We walked in and downstairs and headed to the dining area. We sat for a while until we tracked down a server, wondering if we needed to order at the bar. No, they said they just never saw us sit because our booth was hidden slightly. The server then stopped by, and we ordered. The food arrived in a timely manner, and my date asked for a refill. We ate the food ( it was good ), but a refill never arrived. My date finally went to the bar to get a drink because 10 minutes had passed and our food was gone but we were thirsty. The server saw this and apologized. We received our check and headed to play.We got a card and played games. They were fun, but a few took our points but were not working correctly. We tried to talk to the people in charge of this but stood in line for 15 minutes. 2 different occasions. A manager was called because the kids in charge didn't know how to resolve this. I believe possibly their first day.Overall, we had fun. The bathrooms were not very clean, and they were maybe 20% capacity for a Thursday night. When we tried to sit for dinner, 25% of the tables were covered in dirty dishes, so we sat in a corner. Therefore, we were not spotted.I'd go again, but I wouldn't call this place a must visit. It's definitely a fun place for the kids. I also wouldn't expect a top-tier dining experience at a game place. The food was pretty good fyi.We had fun.“
“I've been here a few times and it's always enjoyable. They had a pretty impressive live musician playing. The wait staff despite being very busy were still very friendly and attentive. The menu is fairly small but the quality is excellent for every dish I've tried. The cocktails are unique and delicious. If you're looking for a fun dining experience, I recommend dropping by Murphy's Corner.“
