“Fred's is a great local eating spot. It seems to have grown up in my opinion to serve food to an underserved area of the local city. There are not an overly abundant amount of restaurants in this particular area. Also in my opinion they remind me of a old school early morning hole in the wall quick stop breakfast spot. In the south. The type of place young mothers might stop to feed their kids on the way to work and school in the morning. It is the type of spot that if you are not from the area or understand the culture, you will look and think twice before entering but once you try the food you will keep going back. The food was good. The service was quick. The atmosphere was okay but could stand a little more. For instance the television could be a little bigger and they could stand to brighten up the color scheme a little more. But all in all they are not a bad place to catch a breakfast meal especially if you want to do something a little different.“

“It's a bit chaotic especially when no one assists you upon entering. After I seated myself, the staff finally acknowleged me. After I placed my to go order at the register, I returned to the same counter seat that I sat in previously only to be later told that I need to sit in the waiting area. I have no problem with sitting in the chairs by the window; however, the waitress could have immediately told me that after taking my order.“

“I absolutely recommend loaded tea to anyone who needs a MENTAL boost. Whenever working on a submission or commission it is extremely difficult for me to focus on my work. After a loaded tea- I am at my most productive, creative, and focused state. I love getting my tea at WhyNot because the girls are SO sweet and helpful. Definitely a great team of young ladies.“

“I used to eat here with my parents over 40 years ago for special occasions. Next week will be my mom's 81st bday. I remembered that we had good memories there and invited her friends for a pre bday breakfast. It was such a peaceful atmosphere. We were greeted with such hospitality by every member of the staff. They treated my mom like royalty. Sat her at the head of the table, even sang to her. Then brought out a beautiful cake presentation to both our surprise. The food was AMAZING! The bathrooms were sparkling clean and smelled so fresh! Needless to say, new memories were made and will continue to be made! It truly superceded my expectations and I am truly thankful for everything!“

“Driven across the country 4 times and have stopped at plenty of Waffle Houses- this has been the best experience so far out of all of them. Service was amazing, the timing to get our food was fast, the food was perfect. I ordered to go, ate in the car, and when I finished came back in to let the staff know how pleased I was- the girl who took my order goes “what’s wrong?” ? More people should inform the staff when something is good instead of just when something bad. Thank you to you and your staff! ?“
