“Our first visit and wow was it great! Everything was top notch, starting with ample parking. We were seated quickly and could barely decide what we wanted to eat because everything looked so good! We got a combo platter of oysters-all of them delicious but the Orleans is our new favorite. I had the red fish and hubby had stuffed portabellas. The servings are quite large and they have unique sides options. Do yourself a favor and get the sweet potatoe crème brûlée. The most delicious thing on the menu, we ate it as our dessert! Our server Tim was absolutely the best. We can’t wait to go back!”

Try one of each. You wont regret the calories. The soup of the day doesn't disappoint nor does the fresh salads. The Lamb lollipops! Omg the lamb! Get it! Its Devine! The filet literally melts in your mouth and the seasoning is on point. The shrimp pasta is also another great choice! You can't go wrong with these dishes! If you are looking for a great server, then dont hesitate to ask for Sam. Whether its your first visit or you are a repeat customer, he delivers exceptional service every time. Hats off to the chefs. They bring their A game and put so much passion into their food.”

“Don’t sleep on this place. I had the fried rice, fried shrimp, and OG wings. Let me just say, they knocked it out the park. Credit card machine was down, but there is an atm on premises. Was told a 15 - 20 minute wait. I do t mind that at all, because I know it will be hot & fresh & it certainly was. I am a Coonass from bayou Lafourche and their fried shrimp is on point, those wings were seasoned just right and fried crispy but still juicy. That fried rice was peas, carrots, & onions and tops every Chinese fried rice I’ve had on the coast so far. The young man taking my order was very polite, and I was able to express my appreciation to chef as well. Very nice people & excellent food. Will most definitely be back. “Absolutely incredible spot that feels and tastes like you’re right back on the island.

I had the Jerk Chicken with yellow rice, cabbage, and plantains, and my girlfriend got the Curry Chicken with rice & beans, mixed veggies, and plantains. Both plates were straight-up authentic. The jerk had that perfect smoky spice with just the right heat and had that perfect char, and the curry tasted like it came straight out of a Jamaican home kitchen. Everything was seasoned perfectly, nothing watered down, nothing “Americanized.” I wanted authentic and I am glad we stopped here.

You can tell this place cooks with real love and island soul. Even the plantains were done right; soft, caramelized, and slightly crisp on the edges. The yellow rice had that deep flavor that soaks up every bit of the sauce layered on it.

And I have to mention the woman who helped us was an absolute sweetheart. She made us feel like family the second we walked in. She was disappointed I live so far away and would be back regularly, but I sure wish I could be because she told me about their great weekday lunch specials! You just don’t get that kind of warmth and authenticity in many restaurants anymore.

This isn’t a chain. This isn’t some watered-down version of Caribbean food. This is real Jamaican comfort food, the kind that reminds you why small local spots like this are worth the drive.

“Oh My Goodness! The ice cream is fabulous! Store is clean, and staff was very upbeat and professional. You really get your money's worth with big luscious scoops. I had maple black walnut and there was a half walnut in each spoonful. In my Vanilla Cherry; had cherries in each spoon, and the Rocky Road was full of nuts and marshmallows. If you want a special treat on a hot day, visit Melissa's Ice Cream, you won't go wrong.

She got behind and with the amount of mad customers, because she did get behind, needs a raise as she was so patient and over stressed from the amount of orders she had. I have never seen a subway that didn't have more than 1 person working. I have turned the subway corporation into the BBB as it should be illegal to run a business like that with only 1 worker and no manager.”
