“This is a unique, little restaurant with excellent food and superior ambiance. As soon as I walked in the door and was shown to the room that was exclusively for our eight people birthday party, I knew this was a most unusual place. The food was perfect. I had one of the most delicious smoked tuna dip I've ever had!The waitstaff is superior in every way. Our waitress was efficient, quick to refill water and tea, and waited patiently to get our orders. My only suggestion is to put up a sign indicating which way to go once you park. I circled the parking lot three times before I saw my friend waving at me. I would hate for that lovely, little place to miss even one person.“
“This is one of those easy to miss scruffy shack type places with absolutely incredible food, great service and a bunch of picnic tables on a grass area right on the beach. One of the best and most memorable meal experiences ever. I am coming back several times while I am still in the area.Parking: Right next to a large free municipal lot. Probably crowded during peak tourist season, but plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: Outdoor picnic tables right on a sandy beach. Perfect for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Right on ground level off the parking lot - should be navigable“
“First time dining at the Hook, top quality & fresh catch of the day! We had the triple tail with "The Pass" sauce which was a butter garlic sauce with crab & shrimp! Definitely rich but not heavy where it weighs you down! Had the bread pudding for dessert & it's the best I've had, definitely will be back!“
“I have been here pretty often and i will say yesterday was the BEST service i have ever received during the times i have gone. My bartender Keeley was very upbeat, bright, on task, and seemed very happy on the job which made my time there well enjoyable. My food came out quickly, the oysters were great as always. The drinks were amazing. I enjoyed my visit and I will be back“
“Perfect local dinner! Great meat and vegetables plates. Filled with flavor and large portions. We had chicken fried steak with white gravy and hamburger steak w brown gravy. And a side of fresh fried okra. One waitress buzzed around quickly and handled everyone with a smile. Definitely go back for more!“
“We came to celebrate our best friend getting into law school and starting her journey to becoming a lawyer. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. On top of the food, our server, Rita, was fantastic. She was so attentive. All of our drinks, appetizers, and entrees came out in a timely manner! We will be back for sure!“
“This is a hidden gem off I-10 in Diamondhead. The food here is very tasty and service is quick. My favorite is the roast beef sandwich (make sure you have enough napkins) - messy and delicious!! I look forward to stopping here on my way to or from the beach. Try it if you get a chance - you won't be disappointed!!!“
“Great overall experience. Best meal at a restaurant in a long time.My groups all ordered different meals, and we all liked them.Lots of parking.Great view.Elevator available.Has outside patio.Wheelchair accessibility: Designated Wheelchair parking near the elevator entrance.“
“Just tried them for the first time and wow! perfectly seasoned! Not too hot but very flavorful, even with a tiny hint of lemon! I've been eating crawfish my entire life and this is a win! Be patient with the prices. They are only a reflection of the market price.I'll be back!:)❤️ “
“Nice place. Excellent gumbo that I recommend; spring for the bowl because the cup is good you will want more. Oyster Po Boy was good too as was the grilled shrimp Po Boy. Service was okay. There is a 4% up charge if you pay via credit card.“
“This was the second time coming here, and it was not a disappointment! We had oysters, gumbo, Ceasars salad, and shrimp tacos, and to top it off, we finished with bread pudding. The servers we fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect. Would definitely recommend to friends and families. The only thing I would say is I wish the tortillas for the tacos were bigger!!!!“
“We visited on Sat. Dec 16th for Birthday Celebration and we were not disappointed absolutely a wonderful experience, our food was amazing. The abeyance was perfect our waitress was Awesome Amelia she was great, very informative and knowledgeable with the menu. We recommend and look forward to our next visit.“
“This place is amazing! The food selection is great and everything tastes amazing! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining with plenty of tables and space. The inside is creatively decorated with string lights and paintings by the owner. Staff and service are great, and you won't leave unhappy.“
“We are definitely not locals here, but we heard from people we've met while here about this wonderful place. So we had to check it out. So glad we did. They have a large menu for a small place. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. We picked up a variety of items to try. If you weren't sure about trying it because it's a gas station, honestly...give it a try. Everything was delicious. And the people behind the counter are so patient and helpful. I highly recommend giving it a try if you haven't been there before ?????“
“This is a very good place it is a great view great breeze scenic outlook over the beautiful area of the Jordan River.Hubs and I both had salads I had the black and blue that's the steak and salad that's what romaine and he had the red fish and honey pecan salad with romaine very good Elsa we did the crab cakes which are absolutely delicious lots of crab meat in those you get 3 to an order look forward to coming back“
“Unfortunately I have to be a bit negative, but there were positives. Not sure if it's normal but you pick your own seating. It took 15 minutes or more to get drinks and food ordered, it seemed longer. The food did arrive quickly. Wife got a cheeseburger and fries. She wasn't impressed. It was greasy and not flavorful except it was hamburger. My experience was better. I had breakfast, 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and 2 pancakes. Fyi, the hash browns come with onions so beware, the waitress did let me know that. Phew, not into onions for breakfast. Everything was cooked exactly how I like breakfast, yum. My wife wanted a dessert to share, we got the Mississippi mud pie. It has a pecan crust, small cream cheese layer, next is chocolate cream, then whipped topping. You'd think it should be cool to cold but was apparently microwaved. Ugh. Once we got past the warm outer part it was much better cool. We were told the beignets are the best around outside of New Orleans but didn't try them ourselves. The atmosphere was quaint like you'd want from a local restaurant. Plenty of decor inside and out to match the name. It was mostly clean inside and out. I did get a little sticky something on my hand from pulling the chair out (syrup I'm guessing). There seemed to be enough parking for the restaurant size. I'd go back for breakfast:). Prices were a bit high, but for mid February 2024, sadly it's what we all deal with.“
“This place feels like a classic beach bar that has great food! Stopped by here while staying at Hollywood Casino on a recommendation. It was a good choice! The vibe here is very chill and fun. The decor and atmosphere is worth stopping in alone. They have a good view of the Marina and outdoor seating.I had the mahi-mahi tacos which were very good. Simple but delicious and very fresh. A friend of mine got the shrimp tacos, they were a bit spicier than they expected but really enjoyed them. The red shrimp were also wonderful!Parking here is a bit tricky, but that's all of downtown in Bay St. Louis.Definitely a place I'd come back toParking: Downtown Bay St Louis has limited parking nearby, so you'll have to look for what you can findWheelchair accessibility: There is a large ramp here at the entrance“
“The Cuban sandwich and Brisket melt were delicious. The brisket was seasoned perfectly and tasted fresh. My husband said it was a great Cuban. We ordered take out, it was packaged neatly with everything needed and it was hot. The staff were very friendly. It was so good we went back again the nest day! The blue cheese burger the next time was delicious! Will be back to try more!“
“Food was good. Service was good. This was our first time trying it. I thought it was a high end restaurant based on the exterior. This is on same level as Outback but ambiance is much better. It was not crowded for a Friday night either. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were very good; wish they would use large portobello mushrooms though. Serving of four seemed like a small amount. We both got salad with our meals. It reminded me of the bag salad from the grocery stores. Bread was warm and very tasty. Husband had steak and baked potatoes. I had the eggplant, shrimp and crab casserole which was really good. Didn't have room for dessert so maybe next time.“
“Delicious southern dishes and a very friendly staff. Large portions at a great price.Parking: Free street parking is available. We found a spot just outside the door.Wheelchair accessibility: One door entry so you may need assistance with the door.“
“Very casual beach bar right by the tracks. Great views, be sure to find the stairs and go up too. Awesome staff and surprisingly good food. The burgers are freshly made and the garlic fries might knock your socks off. Nice beer and wine selection, fun bartender too. We'll be back!“
“Each level has the experience you are looking for. The bottom has live music. Take the elevator to the second floor for at table dining. Going up to the third floor you will find a bar where you can hear the music from below. You must order at the bar but can then sit anywhere.I would not get the pizza here, it was more like a very thin flour tortilla than an actual pizza crust. But the drinks were amazing.“
“Absolutely LOVE the seafood at Danny's!! I order the crab leg clusters often, they offer spicy flavoring and they are the largest around. Reasonably priced, always fresh and made to order quickly. They also have an excellent variety of food for the people in your family who aren't seafood crazy. If you haven't been there yet, GO!“
“Found the Bay seafood company while in town. It definitely did not disappoint. I got the Hamburger basket with a salad and the fried pickles. The hamburger was real hamburger meat and cooked to order. The fried pickles were delicious. My sister and niece got the Bay boil and steam which had shrimp, crab legs, corn on the cob and potatoes with garlic butter and spicy butter. They had only wonderful things to say about their platter and judging by only shells left behind it is safe to say they enjoyed it. They said the seafood was fresh and cooked to order. The staff was very friendly and treated us like family. Our drinks never got below half full. Very attentive and very sweet ladies. We have definitely found the mom and pop seafood restaurant that we will visit when we are back in town.Parking: Plenty of places to park for free.“
“One of the best places to eat in Diamondhead hands down 1 of the longest running restaurants in Diamondhead.Vegetarian options: Have a very large menu and a buffet. Fresh vegetables all day everyday.Parking: Very large parking lot.Kid-friendliness: It is very kit friendly has a nice children's menu also has a really good buffet.Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors.“
“We were driving bye looking for a place to eat. We stop there. I am so glad we did. Being from New Mexico I know Mexican food! our chimichangas were wonderful and the margaritas great! We will return when we visit again. The waitress was very friendly information about the area. We enjoyed her. we got a lot for being a meal.“
“I had not been to J's in years and am so glad I went today! The gumbo was superb and the catfish platter was a delicious, abundant serving of American raised catfish, not the cheap swai from China that is often passed off as catfish. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Now that it's back on my radar, I'll be going to J's on a regular basis. Highly recommended!“
“Drinks were great, Mahi tacos had mango salsa, that included tomatoes, which was not stated on the menu ( I am allergic to tomatoes) so I couldn't eat after it took over an hour for food to hit the table. I was pleased with the atmosphere overall it was a good experience, oyster Rockefeller was some of the best I have ever had.“
“Check out the new menu! Awesome! There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The staff is friendly and attentive.Vegetarian options: Yum! Veggie burger, portobello burger, salads, mammoth nachos, tacos. Caprese or veggIe sandwich. Caprese or veggie pizza.Parking: Free parking lot and entrance in the back.“
“We showed up an hour early for our reservation, bad timing on my part but we ended up getting lucky and got a table after about 20 minutes. We had a great dinner and additionally I wanted to thank Adam for making my birthday dinner exactly what I wanted it to be. Even though I didn't tell you it was my birthday because I didn't want the attention or sparkler.“
“It has been several years since we haven't eaten here. My brother was in town and he chose this restaurant to try for Sunday Brunch. I'm so glad he did! It was so much better than I ever remember. Service was good. Not anything spectacular, but our waitress got the job done efficiently. The atmosphere was great, especially when the music was turned down just a bit. When we first got there it was so loud that we could hardly hear each other speak. The food was great! Spinach and Artichoke dip was great and wish we had ordered 2 for the table. The royal reds were mediocre, I don't really suggest those - just not much flavor. I had the Benedict - AMAZING!!! Everyone was pleased with their meals. I didn't get a picture of theirs, but everyone was extremely happy with their meal. We will be going back more frequently!“
“Southern food paradise! The shrimp are fried to perfection but the catfish is the real star and all you care to eat!Plates come with biscuits, fries, Cole slaw, and huh puppies. Everything was delicious. And the service was speedy and charmingLimited hours so plan to get here when they are openKid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and game for kids to play while you wait to be seatedParking: Plenty of parking !Wheelchair accessibility: One level with no stairs“
“My bf and I have been frequenting 200 North Beach since our first date in November of 2022 and have never had a bad experience! The food and service have always been amazing! Lindsay D is our go to server and she is TOP NOTCH!! Shrimp and grits? Delicious. Chicken and waffles? Delicious! Steak and eggs? So good!! Don't miss out on this hidden gem!!“
“Had an early dentist, party of four. Our hostess seated us, and was very friendly and accommodating. Food was nicely prepared. We enjoyed the atmosphere near the marina. The only drawback for me was that the fries were seasoned and I can't eat foods with black pepper because it burns my tongue. Most other people would enjoy them, and the fries were crispy as I like them.“
