You will luck out if they have the smoked chicken salad special. All in all, everything I have tasted from Beach Burgers is out of this world excellent. It's my new favorite place to eat. “The Wheelhouse is a GREAT spot to hang out. Whether you're visiting for a weekend or a local, you always feel welcome at The Wheelhouse. Many nights there is live music or fun and games like music bingo. Often food trucks set up to offer local favorites. And of course you can enjoy your favorite beverages. The Wheelhouse is also a great place to watch the game with several big screen TVs. And if your pet is friendly, The Wheelhouse is pet friendly. Hope to see ya'll there soon!”

“Pretty decent "dive" bar on the beach. The space is great... but way too new looking to be a real dive bar. But the beers were cold and the other customers were quite friendly. Bar staff was a bit indifferent and not friendly when we ordered. Not unfriendly... just not friendly.

Fair number of TVs for watching sports and they've got a Wii if you are so inclined.

I would definitely stop in again for beers.”

“On a beach trip from Raleigh, my friends and I will never miss a YUMMY trip to SUB TROPICS. And there are many! It is conveniently located at the beach on the main road, Ford Macon Road en route to the Circle and other Atlantic Beach public shorelines. Beachgoers can shop local and stop in for something refreshing and will love colorful Sub Tropics - a sandwich, wrap and smoothie spot that's located in the heart of Atlantic Beach, just off the Atlantic Beach Causeway. I love what one review on google said, "cheerful customization from the chief, Charles." I also added a pic of some dolphins we saw. Be kind to the animals tho and be sure pick up all of your trash while at the beach. Stop in to SUB TROPICS for a treat on your next beach vacay.”

“We always enjoy coming to get ice cream, the candy, and the smoothies are so delicious! This visit we tried the fudge also… do yourself a favor and get some! It was the best fudge EVER!!!”

“This place was busy . Yet we quickly got seated. The menu is varied. We enjoyed everything we tried. From appetizers to a main course, it was awesome. They kept our beverages full and the staff is pleasant. When we visit from Roxboro, this is a place we always visit.”
