“Wow! What an incredible dining experience. Kim, our gracious innkeeper, at the Inn on Turner, assisted us with our reservation at Blue Moon Bistro. Celebrating our anniversary, my husband and I were looking for a special dining experience. Blue Moon Bistro exceeded all expectations. The service was excellent, we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in a quiet corner. Our server, Lara, was amazing, giving us recommendations and allowing us to take our time, and enjoy our evening. We feasted on the Cassoulet and Pork Osso Bucco - there are no pictures, as we were too busy enjoying our meals. For dessert they treated us to a delicious crème brulee, made to perfection. Will we return? Without a doubt. Would we recommend it? Absolutely, 100%.”

“This was by far one of my favorite dining experiences. I recommend making a reservation beforehand because of the size of the restaurant. Service was amazing! Very friendly host and hostess, and our server, PJ, was so nice, very knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations for food and beverages. I recommend the cheese plate and duck wings. The petite filet was cooked to perfection, and the desert sampler we ordered was so pretty I almost did not want to eat it! We will definitely be coming back here again!Parking: We parked over by the backstreet pub, there is a small parking lot across from the restaurant but I was not sure if it was reserved for another business nearby. Not a very far walk from any of the paid parking spaces nearby.”

“Food was amazing as always! Nice friendly staff. Who are also great to their doordashers. Only complaint I would have was that they were slow with bringing us our drinks when they were not busy at all. But I'll still give them a 5 star rating overall! Definitely try the chicken rolls!!!!!!”

“Excellent beers. Great service and I like the atmosphere. Relaxed and seems to have a steady presence of locals. I am from MN. This is the second time I've been to this establishment, once 3 years ago and then this year (2024). Definitely will stop in again when I get back in town.”

“What a cool spot! The service is excellent and the food was fresh and tasty. We're not huge fans of fried food so we wish there was an option for blackened or grilled on the flounder. They have a nice selection of IPAs and the place is straight up like a saloon!”

“I hate to even write a review about this place. Because it truly is a honey hole. Best restaurant I’ve ever been too. And I’ve been to thousands. We go to a new place almost every weekend.I hate to write this review because I don’t want to expose blue Herron for the dining experience that it really is - but it is fine because it is a 5 star dining experience. If you don’t prefer the beef medallions you are missing out. If anyone in your party is thinking about ordering it - do it. You will not get anything less than Amazing here.This is my 5th time here and felt compelled to write this reviews because it is phenomenal and you are missing out if you don’t try it. But I ask that you please don’t share with all of your friends because if word gets out you WILL NOT be able to eat here without a reservation months/ years in advance. This is a Michelin star caliber restaurant.”

“Omg I can't say enough about this place it's so welcoming! The beers are crazy good and some I've never even tried! It's small and get this an old what I call factory whistle goes off at around 5ish it's crazy but if you go in ask and they'll explain it to you! The feeing you get it so back in the days of good neighbors and local friends/family. Popcorn machine which is delicious popcorn and craft beer umm yeah! It's small inside but there's also seating outside as well. I love this place! If you are driving through I highly recommend a stop !”

“We absolutely love eating here. It is a small place with limited seating. I do require getting a reservation too. We had a nice little table overlooking the water.Parking: This will vary based on the season. Summer is the worst time.”

“Very good food and friendly service. It seems like they are still getting up to speed so it can take a little while for the order to come to the table, but it's worth it when the food arrives. The shrimp and the fish tacos are excellent.”

“I eat here from time to time. I'd love to eat here more but it is cash only and I rarely carry cash. The food has always been good as well as the service. Seafood is a little pricey especially to eat here weekly but it is fresh so there is that. Definitely recommend.”

“We had an amazing dinner here! The menu is robust with many options to choose from. The service was quick and attentive. The seafood bisque is a must-have--super creamy with tons of lump seafood in it. Other tables had salads that looked huge and delicious, I'd like to try one next time! As my husband said, "this is the best food we've had at a restaurant down here!"”

“We had the best time! Will was our server and his recommendations were on point and did not disappoint in the slightest. The food was so good, but the service truly set it apart from other places in the area.Dietary restrictions: We had someone in our party with an extreme shellfish allergy and they were super accommodating.”

“The pizza is amazing for the Outer Banks. We got the Pedro and it was very good. Great crisp and the crust was the perfect amount of chew. Great view as well for sunset!”

“THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING. Went with 5, got a bunch of appetizers including the bacon cheese fries, meatballs, onion rings, and wings. All were great, onion rings could’ve been better but were still good. In all for meals we got the garden salad and added grilled chicken, large turkey sub, club sandwich, and steak quesadilla. The quesadilla and club were INCREDIBLE, I didn’t try the rest but they loved it. This place has the BEST fries and ranch. All of the food was so hot and fresh, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and plenty of seating as well as a drive-thru.”
