“I’m in love with this restaurant. The food is amazing, and the staff is so polite and helpful if you have questions. I’ve never been disappointed! You will get a LOT of food, no matter what you order, so come hungry. If you get there for lunch try the Seol Chicken or Kimchi Stew!“
“The food is ok. While I’d say it’s authentic, it’s an authentic representation of decent, but not great, Chinese BBQ.They ask if you want it spicy or not, but the spiciness level doesn’t really register. We asked them to bring the next batch more spicy, but it was still pretty mild.“
“The food was sooo delicious! If you like bbq you won’t be disappointed. I usually prefer beef ribs, but these pork ribs were seasoned to perfection. The location was clean which I appreciate, and the staff was friendly and I did not feel rushed trying to order for a large party. The most important thing to me was the service. The owner/pit master and the other employees serving us was so kind and accommodating. We felt right at home having a good meal with good people. We left full and happy. We prefer this location of Dickeys as an after church lunch.(Photo of the little bit of food left)“
“The server was extremely helpful and attentive, answering all questions and checking in on us repeatedly. The beef bulgolgi (regular and spicy), chicken bulgolgi (regular and garlic), garlic samgyupsal, and gocgujang bulgogi were amazing. The fried dumplings weren't that good, but everything else was so delicious. I love that they use cast iron grills instead of metal. They're so much easier to cook on and you don't have to change them out as much because the meat doesn't stick.“
“Absolutely amazing food and service with a warm comforting environment. The food was outstanding but had limited options. When we naively assumed the egg side was already cooked and added it to our soup late they offered to recook our soup just so we could safely eat it still. Stunning service and great personality to the staff who helped us. From what they did have we had an amazing dinner and an even better experience! 10/10 would recommend for someone looking for a “New and Refreshing Experience”“
“Fun place. If you like smoked meats, you're going to love this. Collard greens were great. I wouldn't say this is traditional eastern or western North Carolina style. They have different sauces so you can go with a more vinegar base sauce if you'd like, or you can go Western US. Counter service with an old-timey vibe. Food was good.“
“This place is the absolute best!! Aside from the fact the food was delicious and to our table so extremely fast, the staff were terrific! The atmosphere was relaxing, prices great! It's truly worth the drive. I can't wait to get a chance to come back!“
“Raleigh is a fine area to visit, but their idea of BBQ and mine are not the same. But I'd heard plenty of good things about Big Mike's and I made my way over. I sat at the bar and had a 3 meat platter. Brisket, burnt ends, and chopped BBQ chicken. Actually, I had asked for ribs, but got brisket instead. Not that I was complaining as things would turn out. I was expecting pulled chicken and instead it was roughly chopped chicken breast. I was glad it wasn't pulled but the meat was a little dry which can happen easily with chicken breast. I needed a decent amount of sauce for it. It was seasoned well though. Burnt ends were fine, not the best, not the worst. But the brisket was incredibly good. In the mid Atlantic, a lot of BBQ places do the pork well, but not the beef. Well Big Mike's does a great job with the cow. Moist meat, a nice layer of bark on the outside. I would certainly order this again. Thumbs up for the sides, the smoked potato salad is one of the best BBQ sides I've ever had. Potatoes were all dente, the dressing was super cheesy and thick. Cucumber salad was a fine refresher for the palate. Service was pretty good, though it did take a little more time than I would have wanted to get my drink refill. But the check was processed in a timely manner. If anything, maybe some more sides like mac and cheese and cornbread would be a nice addition. But a good BBQ spot for sure.“
“Have been coming here since they opened. Food is always delicious. Cannot remember a time over the last 20+ years that I’ve had a bad meal. Time and time again, one of my favorite places to bring out of towners (or even in towners) for a great bite to eat. Excellent portions for the price you pay. Fry sauce is always delicious. Fries hand cut and fresh plus the refills, cannot go wrong here.“
“Good Korean bbq place. $35 on the weekend for unlimited meats, veggies , and appetizers. There was no wait for my group of four on a Saturday afternoon. I LOVED the garlic shrimp, that was the only protein I had that I wanted to get more of. I also LOVED the fried chicken wings , they had the perfect fry. The kimchi was not very good to me. The service was very nice, they helped us cook a lot and replaced our grilled plenty of times. I would return for more garlic shrimp and strawberry soju !“
