“Fabulous brisket, pulled pork. Competitive with best bbq in Texas (just ate at Franklin BBQ in Austin last week, a perennial favorite of Texas Monthly's top BBQ rating). Sides superior as well. Would absolutely be my go-to bbq. Super friendly service, over the top.“
“Thursday has a loaded fry special. I decided to give this spot a try because bbq was on the mind. I had loaded fries with the BBQ/Smoked Turkey. This was some amazing, juicy, tender and flavorful turkey. I promise to have some again. The fries were also very good, crispy and well seasoned. But the turkey was the star of the show. Portions sizes are huge and employees friendly when available. The location isn't a problem for me, but I could see some not wanting to travel to old east durham for food. The area is lack of most amenities that would draw traffic. (Gas, Shopping, Sights) Aside from I'd say 3 exceptional hidden gems for food the area lacks drawing power. Besides all of that Mike D's BBQ is top tier and hopefully gets the attention necessary to shine as the awards show they should and will.“
“This food was well worth the wait! We have named them the best food truck to come to Roxboro. Grab the seasoned platter, banana pudding, and succotash..no disappointment! Sorry, we ate it all so fast and only have empty plate pictures to share, lol“
“Great selection of southern foods with an elevated twist. Sure to please the die-hard barbecue lover but with touches that will win new fans. Side items are popular. The fries are plentiful. Raw oyster fans will be pleased. You’ll be planning your next trips to try the items you missed and to enjoy new favorites“
“We had lunch at Moe's again today. It was our third time, and again everything was delicious! We went today to specifically try the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, the Berto. It was a great deal at $13 for the sandwich, two sides, and a drink (I had the hash brown casserole and banana pudding)! I grew up in Indiana, where breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches are very, very popular, so I've been searching for something similar here in NC, and have yet to find a comparable pork tenderloin sandwich. Moe's sandwich was delicious, and I'm sure we will try it again, but next time I will request a little less seasoning. However, it was outstanding, and I highly recommend it. Thanks, Moe's. We will be back!“
“Nothing fancy, but dear lord it is one of the best around. Food is amazing and staff is even better. The pricing cannot be beat! An entree and two sides for $7-8, got you thinking this is some 1990s dinner pricing. And these portions are grandma portions. The kind of portion where you told grandma "I'm not hungry", but she loads up your plate anyways and you end up taking some home because there's just too much on the plate. A true gem in the area.“
“Grabbed some wings and dumplings for lunch. The wings are spectacular. Perfectly crisp, sweet, savory....a total home run! The dumplings were good but the dipping sauce was a little salty, I like it a little sweeter. Bonus for the free sample of kimchi, really nice!“
“Stephanie Food Truck was amazing! First of all, they came the day before to introduce themselves, make sure they knew the location to park the truck so there would be no delay, and they had enough people on hand to take care of the staff in a quick orderly fashion. On the day of our event, they showed up one hour early, staff filtered out and they served 111 people in an hour. The food was wonderful, Romero was so kind. The price, well let's just say - I was very pleased at the discount he offered and we WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN! Thank you Stephanie Food Truck, for a great experience, amazing food, fast service and gracious communication.DanielaNHS“
“My Dad and I stopped in here after seeing many great reviews and recommendations. The beef brisket was very tasty and had a wonderful smokey flavor without having too much sauce. Great coleslaw and extra crispy fries. Good service and food came very quickly!“
“Love this place for some rapid fast and dank Korean BBQ bowls. Kinda like chipotle with the style of service/food presentation but double the quantity and double the speed of getting the food to you. Was some super dank stuff, a little more pricey than a typical chipotle chicken bowl though. Nicely cooked and delicious kimchi. This place definitely hit the spot, but if you’re looking for spicy, even the spiciest items here are tolerable to a non-spicy tolerant person. Should definitely amp up the spice level on the spice dishes.“
“Our office placed a last minute order today for a small holiday luncheon. Everything was delicious! most importantly, the service was excellent! We left without our banana pudding and the staff went above and beyond to get us our desserts! thank for you an enjoyable meal :)“
“Open mic on Wednesday nights at the Blue Note Grill is the hottest spot in the Triangle for grown-up folks! Awesome job Brett Chambers and The Usual Suspects. The wait staff is overwhelmed but most of them do their best to handle the large, thirsty crowd. But, if you can get past the rudest, nastiest woman at the front desk, the music and dancing make up for average food and adequate service.“
“They are only open for lunch because they are that good. It's always busy and I can see why! I grew up in rural NC and this is a taste of home. Smokey, tender meats with a variety to choose from and delicious side options too. The catfish is a hidden gem here if you enjoy a good piece of fried fish! Highly recommend.“
“Please bring the Jerk Turkey Tacos back! My go-to is always the Baht Mi sandwich but this special caught my eye and boy am I glad I tried it. I haven't found an amazing jerk dish in the triangle but this knocked my socks off! I hope I'll see it again. Easily a top contender on the menu!“
