For anybody from Chicagoland, Wrigley's Italian Beef is an absolute hidden gem! Their Italian Beef sandwich is legit and it's as close to the original Al's #1 as you can get outside of Chicago. I wish they could open up a kitchen location down in the Waxhaw area. It would be a home run!
I had a craving for an Italian beef but I honestly didn't think we had any good spots in Charlotte other than a couple that I think have since gone. I ordered via Uber Eats so I don't really care if it is a ghost kitchen or not. The food was very good. I ordered 'The Beef' (with giardiniera) with tater tots. I felt like I was a tourist in Chicago while eating this sandwich. The sandwich was full of Italian beef and tasted awesome. I would highly recommend this spot for authentic Chicago style Italian beef. This gem is located in one of Charlotte's many food kitchens for small business restaurants so its strictly take out. But you won't be disappointed.
