“Our family of four came into downtown Salisbury to attend the Nutcracker performance at Catawba College. We do not live locally so we didn't prepare for the demand on local restaurants that evening. Without reservations, we were unable to be seated at two other nearby restaurants. My husband walked into Carpe Vinum and despite having no reservations and a quick timeline (45 minutes) they were able to seat us at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant and accommodating. Through her service and the kitchen's quick response, we enjoyed a wonderful meal and never felt rushed. My daughters loved their espresso martini and aperol spritz. Between the four of us, we enjoyed a grilled wedge salad, a caesar salad, lobster bisque, sliders, tuna bites and fried shrimp. It was all wonderful! Thank you again for a great dinner and the hospitality. We will be back!“

“We have been going to the Salty Caper for many years. When we first went, it was a true hole-in-the wall pizza place located in a historic building. During the pandemic year, they expanded next door and probably quadrupled their capacity. This was a good thing, because their pizza and beer selections are outstanding! Not having to wait very long for a table is welcome for us! I don’t rate the atmosphere very highly because it is still a hole in the wall, just bigger now. But that’s ok, because the pizza is excellent! Their wood fired ovens, pizza dough, sauce, and toppings result in a pizza that reminds me of the pizza from New Haven, Connecticut. Thin, a bit stretchy dough, with burned, bubbly crust. The best, in my opinion! Beer taps are aplenty here with great variety. A true local gem of a place!!“

“This is one of the happiest gut calls I've made in a long time! My friend was in town in CLT and wanted to meet halfway between CLT and Winston. What's halfway Salisbury, and what's in Salisbury... Shug's!! This place was great! It has a local bar feel with an inviting ambiance and very friendly staff! The burger and drinks I had there were delicious all around and I would definitely come back for the cocktails they had! Personally I think the Buffalo Chicken Egg roll was a pass for me. It was dry in the middle and seemed to lack flavor, but the buffalo it came with was quite good. Also in the back there was a cigar lounge available. If you're nearby check this place out, I would definitely love to come back at some point!“

“Went on a Friday night. They had a guy playing live music and an hour wait. The wait was worth it! The food was awesome. My table had the family diner with oysters, clams, corn shrimp, and crablegs as well as the shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was really chill. The wait staff was great! We will definitely be back!“
“IZZY was a wonderful bar tender! She was so friendly and kind! All the drinks she crafted were fantastic, came out quick, and were affordable! Not to mention delicious! I HIGHLY recommend stopping by! It's right next to Fish Bowl and SUPERIORLY better! Over all a enjoyable experience and wonderful atmosphere! All for all-around good price! Like a whole a pint of sour (draft) on special for just one dollar!! Please check it out! They have lots of open mics and activities that I'm coming back for asap. This is our new home bar.“
“1-8-22Awesome little out of the way bar. I love this place. Beer & liquor. Nice place to take a break and chill. Seating inside and out.The locals here are pretty awesome. Just stop in once or twice and decide for yourself, but I give it 5 stars out of 5. I Love these people.“
“New owners. They did alot of work to the place while still trying to preserve the years of memories people have for this establishment. Expanded drink selection, wider variety of food and snacks and booths to sit in . If you are looking for a place to go enjoy a beer, maybe shoot a game of pool or just strike up a casual conversation with a few locals, I highly suggest u give The Buccaneer a try.“
“Ah The Carriage Room. This was my hangout in the eightys. I was there 6 nights a week mostly. I was happily pleased that not much had changed in the 30 years since I had last been in. The bartender was extremely friendly and the prices were still very fair. They have enlarged to two rooms, four bathrooms, and three pool tables. The bar is bigger also. They used to have killer burgers, but I didn't try any food. My request, please bring back Old Milwaukee. The taste is as great as it's name.“

“There are a lot of sketchy people that sit in the back patio even if they don't buy a single drink. I went outside after a game of pool and was completely blindsided/jumped by 2 of them. They didn't really get any solid hits on me, amazingly. But I had to leave while they were trying to figure out what was going on and police were called. I spent like 150 bucks and some nobodies just ruined the whole night. Well honestly I still enjoyed going home jamming to my music. I can't recommend going there alone. Be careful out there. World is getting wild.Edit: went back and they looked at the cameras and saw I wasn't an at fault party. Also, banned the individual(s) so changed from a 1 to a 4.“
“We were dining at Chophouse 101 a few weeks ago & made arrangements for a tour of The Blind Fox.We met with the owner, Ken & he gave us a tour. He truly loves what he has done here. He has exceptional taste. This experience was something out of a movie-complete with all the mystery that surrounds a speakeasy- the elements are all here.I tried to absorb as much as possible as we were given the tour. It’s my understanding, you can only visit up 3 times and then if you want to keep visiting, there’s a membership fee. Making it exclusive.Wednesday nights are whiskey Wednesdays. For those of you that prefer to go sans alcohol like myself, they made a lovely mocktail for me to try with rosemary, lemon and sprite.Every Thursday night - they have an instrumental guitar player.Ken also took us back into a private event space- it was spectacular!Members get to use the space for free during their birthday month. Just the space of course, you will have to pay for all the rest. But so worth it, this is an exceptional space! Unique.Going back to the speakeasy details, the Friday and Saturday night crowd, usually show up after dinner. If you are looking for something different to do. Head to Kannapolis & follow the clues that will lead you to the hidden speakeasy. You won’t regret it.A note:I usually go all out, adding many photos and videos in my contributions. I scaled back so you can enjoy mysteries behind The Blind Fox, on your own.XOJosephine“

“Normally I get bone-in wings whenever I go but today I wanted something different. I got the chicken quesadilla and I’m glad I did! It was so good. It had plenty of cheese, onions, and peppers. I love coming here because the food is always good and the service is always great.“

“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant the food is always top notch the service is outstanding. Atmosphere wasn't so festive this visit , usually there is music playing an it's just a happy place. How ever there was only 4 tables seated an it was later on a Sunday .“
“Nice Irish Pub overall. Decided to stop by for St. Patrick's Day. Atmosphere was very pleasant. I especially enjoyed the upstairs balcony. I do think the bartenders could have been a little bit more welcoming. I would definitely try it again.“

“I was in Salisbury on Friday and I stopped to check out Go Burrito! The service was great. The food was delicious. The portion was generous. I sat on the roof and enjoyed the sights and sounds of downtown. The chicken was a little heavily seasoned but that was just for my taste and I wouldn't impact the review with that! Check this place out!“

“This location seems to be improving. There had been some issues after completely reopening post covid closings, but my last take out experience was very pleasant. I do hope for a few menu additions. Perhaps an avocado chicken, Chilli's once had or maybe some new things to try.“

“I work be side of it at the Stag & Doe and it always seems like it sounds like everybody's there is having a really good time. I'd like to come there sometime but I don't have anybody to go thete with. If anybody there wants to invite me in there I like to shoot some pool that would be great. I've been really bored since the Stag & Doe hadn't opened up yet. Julie Hooper“
