“Never have I ever had anything but absolute delicious food (and service) here… and again today. My friend suggested 1/2 order of the Spinach Artichoke Dip (a plenty!) and Scallops appetizer (big, cooked perfectly and ab FAB!) and we added shaved ribeye egg rolls too. Perfect trio for sharing and leftovers too (except the scallops). Those who already enjoy Mannings know what I’m talking about but if you’ve never been, put on your to do list! Wish I could share pics but that button doesn’t work.”

Parking: Lots of spaces but always crowded. Can be tough to find parking, or you can wait five minutes and someone’s always leaving”

“We had dinner there last night with some friends. It started out with our waitress, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and her service was top notch. We all ordered steaks except for our daughter who got the French Cut Chicken. She inhaled it and raved how good it was. The steaks ?? They were all perfectly cooked and seasoned. Really couldn’t have asked for a better steak. I have to mention the salad bar too. It was all fresh, crisp, great selection of items, and we all enjoyed it very much. Overall, we had an amazing experience there last night and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Well done Clayton Steakhouse and team!”

“Recently went here for my daughter's 13th birthday dinner. The whole family had a wonderful time, and the food was amazing! Portions are large, and we had plenty of leftovers that we enjoyed later. Service is wonderful, and we have never had a bad experience or dish coming here.”

The only issue i had was that they didnt put napkins in the to go bag but the food definitely made up for it . The girls working there are great! “I got one of each style of taco, 2 steak 1 chicken tinga. The meat was full of smoky flavor, tender, and they weren’t stingy! The generous toppings pair well with the meat, the tradicional was my favorite style. I love the simple ordering style. The place itself is inviting, clean, with a nice vibe in a historic building. “We were recommended to eat here, and let me go on and tell you…..the food and service were phenomenal!! We’ve never been and we went last night and 10/10 highly recommend. The menu was fun, and the chicken salad wrap, Angus burger with bacon and egg and both pizzas were PERFECT. I've been numerous times. Have brought multiple people to enjoy their fares. Only down side is the gf options are very limited.”

“It’s food truck good! Honestly some of the better tacos I’ve had on the east coast, still a little over priced to what I’m used to but good tacos. Tbh just falls a little short of a nearby corner taco option. The taco was good. The Tamales, which I was most excited for, just felt like they were too mushy/ likely reheated right when ordered.
Is it my first choice in town? Nah. Is it far more authentic than 90% of town ? Absolutely. Will I be back? 100% but notably I’m very closer by.

Parking: No concerns at all. The spot they’re usually parked on Shotwell and 70 has 15+ spots and I’ve never seen it full”

Not greasy at all, semi thin crust (perfect) wings were good size not the joke that everybody else are serving, and the service was excellent too! “Went for the first time Saturday night planning to listen to music about an hour. We ended up staying over three hours, until the music stopped. Joe and Storm brought it, the energy was amazing and the staff so friendly. We will definitely be back with a crowd next time these two are performing.”

“One piece of advice, don't get delivery. Pick up only and show up 5 minutes before your projected "order ready" time.
There are dishes that they do up right and then some that could use some R&D.
1. Sesame Chicken = great!
2. Egg Foo Yung = great!
3. Sweet & Sour chicken = as expected
4. Moo shu pork or chicken = the moo shu is good, but the pancakes are shit! I use tortillas from LA Bonita
5. Beef with garlic sauce = awesome!
6. Fried rice = don't waste your money
7. Dragon & Phoenix = good
8. Shrimp with cashew = great!
9. Wonton soup = don't even
10. Hot & sour soup = good
11. Shrimp & scallop in pepper sauce = very few scallops, and it would be sooooooo much better with sautéed shrimp. The breaded and fried shrimp in the dish are just mushy and gross.

Lastly...could we get an option to NOT put a bazillion packets of sauce in the bag?!?!”

“While I am not the biggest fan of their food, you really can not go wrong with Dairy Queen's ice cream. I got an Oreo blizzard the other day that was amazing. The only place in clayton that has the best ice cream.”

“This 5 star review is for Jessica in the bakery. I was there one Saturday and talked to her about needing 48 cupcakes for the following Saturday, and I wanted a mixture of chocolate and vanilla. She asked the reason for the event, and I told her it was dinner for my son that had gotten married. She offered to make them “special” and SPECIAL they were!! She decorated them so pretty! It was not the average looking cupcake. She tile me she would personally decorate them for me. She was not there when we picked up, but I hope someone will tell her about this review! And we were asked more than once that night, “Who did the cupcakes?” We gave the Walmart bakery a shoutout!! We told them to ask for Jessica if they ordered. I also want to say I just love William the greeter. He makes me smile every time I see him, even if I am having a bad day. I only have one complaint, but it’s not just for this Walmart so I will not reduce my 5 star review: WHY in the world does Walmart not take Apple Pay?? Even Dollar Tree has Apple Pay! I do not like using my card. I prefer to tap pay with my phone. Someone needs to take this one to the top and get it changed. But great job, Jessica and William. You make me want to go to this Walmart every time, and I’m situated between 3 Walmarts fairly equally in distance. I’ll choose Clayton Walmart over Knightdale and Smithfield every time!!”

“Ive been going hre for the food and atmosphere for years, but the wait staff really had me shaking my head. Under age girls with booty shorts and bare midriffs just doesn't seem appropriate for wait staff. I think one was wear bedroom slippers. The kitchen saved the visit from being a disaster. Hamburger was cooked correctly as have all my other meals from there.”

“We went Valentine’s Night. Every where had over an hour wait, we got here and my party of 6 was seated immediately! Our server was amazing! And the food was outstanding! They had a limited menu for valentines night so we will definitely go back on another night to try more items!”

“My first visit to the Clayton location was a great experience! We were greeted at the door and everyone we came in contact was very pleasant and smiling. Our waitress Piper was kind and came to the table with a smile and recommendation which I gladly accepted. The food came out on a robot which I think small kids would love. The food was hot, correct and good. The dining area was nice and clean. Overall a cute little joint.”

“As a self-proclaimed chicken wing connoisseur, I am very particular about my wings—and these wings did not disappoint! I ordered 7 all-flat wings, and the size was perfect—not too small and not so big that you'd question if they were on steroids. The skin had a satisfying crunch, while the meat remained tender and juicy.

I tried the Stinger sauce, which was delicious. It’s definitely on the milder side but has a lovely honey-sweet flavor that complements the wings well.

Unfortunately, the fries were a big letdown—cold, hard, and sugar-coated. They’d earn just 1 star from me. But the wings were so good they completely made up for the disappointing fries.

I would definitely return for the wings alone!”

“This is hands down one of our favorite pizza places in Clayton, NC. Very comparable to Lucy's in Orem Utah and that is quite high praise as Lucy's is our favorite outside of homemade pizza.
It is easy to order and the wait never exceeds 20 minutes for pickup, that I have witnessed.”
