“I ordered to-go, as there was a group I shared meals with. The server who'd taken our order was so polite, including the hostess, Mia. I ordered: 2 orders of nachos which were THE BOMB dot COM‼️ , a veggie burger with sweet potato fries, 15 wings, a chicken wrap, and seafood ravioli i think. I was satisfied and so were the people who ate. I'm happy we came here to order food. “Drove by this place for over 6 years as I work in the area. Finaly decided to stot by for a beer. Chill and down to earth place. Very friendly staff and prices are great. Pool tables and TVs are there for you to enjoy. Good variety of brown liquor. My only thing is that there are no local beers. Just the usual. Didn't have any food so I will have to come back.“
“This location did NOT accommodate me, but I understand…My whole life I believed Celiac disease was not a real thing and it was just a sham invented by the picky eaters, until my doctor diagnosed me with Celiacs in 2019 at the age of 34. My diet is very restricted now, and I’m mostly limited to eating at Moe’s Southwest Grill.As I usually do when I go out to eat with friends, I bring takeout Moe’s to the location. However, The Flying Saucer did NOT take kindly to this and informed me I must leave the premises immediately, quote “we do NOT allow outside food here!”I explained my condition to the waitress that informed me I must depart, but he did not care. I was able to strike up a deal with him though. If I could beat him in a round of darts, I could stay and eat my Moe’s, but if I lost, I’d have to rate a 5 star review on google.This was the Saturday night that the Duke and UNC game was on, so the bar was packed, yet everyone in there turned their attention to watch our game of darts! It was so crowded there were people lined on either side of the dart board so tightly, if you missed the board there would be serious injury. It was similar to a PGA tour tee shot.The game came down to the wire, we had both busted twice, he had finally reached his goal of 201 points, and I had to hit a 2 to win it and I hit the target for the draw! But the dart didn’t stick! The bar erupted and stormed us, as I was trying to call for replay review!Moral of the story is don’t bring Moe’s into the Flying Saucer, and I lost in darts. 5/5 stars…“
“We’ve been to Pub 49 often and I have to rave on their pizza because you wouldn’t typically think Pub + Pizza.Their deep dish is by far better than any pizza I’ve had living in NC for 11 years but everything their pizza maker has made is a home run. The pepperoni rolls - delicious!Tonight I had a 8” personal pizza while my husband got his usual. The pizza was piping hot, fully of flavor and cooked perfectly. This beats any pizza shop and is my now go to for pizza. Try it. You won’t regret it. And please have the deep dish more than one day a month.“
“Always on the lookout for a meadery, Buzzed popped up and was right on our travel path. The facility is quite large with lots of seating and a serving kitchen so many folks were eating meals. While it is a meadery, it offers a wide variety of products. We did tastings and found the Meadow Foam mead extraordinary. It was unfortunate that there was a sales restrctions on mead as we wanted to buy bottles to take home, but their supply was limited to on sale only due to a production issue. Definitely would visit again when in the area.“
