“We ate at Gianni's last night and I had the best meal I've eaten so far this year (and I've eaten at some great places, including the Capital Grille!). The Chicken Francais at Gianni's is out-of-this-world delicious. And we were glad to be able to visit their cozy, historic downtown location before the move to Gibson Mills later this month. It's a shame that the city of Concord is laying our once thriving downtown businesses to waste with their tortuously slow road project, but we look forward to trying out Gianni's new location soon.”
“My partner and I found this place around 3 months ago and have made it a regular visit for getting outside of Charlotte. The food is the best I’ve had for a bar setting and the drinks are just a bonus. Love seeing something new every time we come. The variety and creativity really make this place stand out. “The food was DELICIOUS!!! The staff were awesome. Shuckin' oysters like a boss!!! If you haven't been here, I highly recommend it. The only thing is it's one big round table, so you may sit beside people you don't know. But you come strangers and leave friends. But we'll worth the visit.”

“We finally made it to Hawthorne's. We have tried on the weekends but they are always too busy, so a Wednesday was great for us. Date night. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly. I think Todd was our server, great guy. The waffle fries I had to start were all crisp and hot. The pizza was very good. My only complaint would be that the crust was very thin and couldn't hold the toppings without folding. That was ok though cause I just folded it taco style! We will definitely be back to try the cocktails and beer sometime.”
“Came in after church today. Parking lot full, had to park and walk. Even though the lot was full, the wait was only a few minutes. Nora was our server and she was the most kind woman and so knowledgeable. The food was great and came out quick, hot, and delicious. Thank you! Support this business!”

“For years, like 20, I've always gone to a certain BBQ chain while visiting Concord,NC. However, very recently, I've noticed they've been going down hill. So, last weekend, a friend of mine from SC took me to The Smoke Pit for dinner before we headed home from an all-day rather large car show. So, yes, we are very hungry. I was very impressed with this place. I had the pulled pork potato with potato salad (yes, double potato, for research purposes) as my side and this amazing watermelon sweet tea. It was great, the service was fast and friendly. This place checked all the boxes for a quick and great tasting bbq spot. We were lucky enough to get a table out on the patio to enjoy the sun and breeze. I highly recommend The Smoke Pit!!!”

Flavor was on point and portion was huge. If they could do one thing, having French fries available would be nice.I highly recommend Papis and it will regularly appear in my lunch rotation. “This was our first time here. My wife wanted to come here for her birthday brunch. My wife ordered hacienda hash, a huge pancake, and tropical sunrise drink that she mixed with champagne to make it a tropical sunrise mimosa. She said everything was very good. I had some of my wife's pancake, and it was really good. I ordered the works omelet with potatoes, whole grain toast, and coffee. The omelet was good, I didn't like the sausage in it, and the bacon was fried too hard. The potatoes were good but were too salty and needed more onions. The toast was good, but the butter was not completely melted. The coffee was good. I want to come back and try the pancakes, french toast, and the different juices that Alyssa gave us to sample. Our waitress Alyssa was awesome.”

“Ate here on a whim during a trip to Concord, and it was DELICIOUS! My husband who claims he hates caramel (and didn't read the full description) ordered the Biscuit French Toast and ate every bite of it, salted caramel sauce and all. His OJ was fresh squeezed and you could tell by the taste and SMELL, yum! I got the Biscuits & Sausage Gravy and they were amazing. The biscuits were light and fluffy and the gravy was creamy with a slight kick. My Caramel Toffee latte had actual pieces of toffee on top (nice touch!) So good, and wish we had one near us in the Raleigh, NC area.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kids eating breakfast here while we were and there's a kids menu.”

The most recent was with some great friends last nite. I decided to come back for lunch the next day. I had a Sonny's Sampler, that included pulled pork, sliced brisket, amazing dry rubbed smoked ribs and a smoked chicken leg quarter. Side items were coleslaw and some awesome pork and beans. And no, I could not eat it all at one sitting. However, I did have a great snack later the same evening. I had no room for dessert, but will try and save room next time. If you've never been to Sonny's BBQ, you're missing out!”

I have passed by it a thousand times since they've open but never tried it until this weekend when I had a taste for butter chicken, and finally thought it was time to give it a try. I have now been twice in a week. The pizza is so yummy. I really like Indian food, and the halal butter chicken pizza is a nice spin on a dish that I love. It's hasn't been busy either time that I've been and I'm not sure why, The place is clean, they have a good score and my pizza is always made to order and hot. They have so many unique options to choose from including vegan, so if Indian isn't your thing, don't worry, I'm sure they have something to satisfy your palette.”

“Been going to Asian Cafe for a while now. It's a bit out of the way for me, but the food is always on point. Dine in or carry out, your good regaurdless. I typically get the bento box, which is perfectly proportioned with your protein and rice/noodles along with a sushi roll of your choice and a side (cheese wonton for me; kinda like a rangoon but without the crab) I get their curry chicken which comes with vegetables. The sauce and spices they use are so good, and the veggies are well cooked, pairing perfectly with the rice. My girlfriend loves their wonton soup with the only complaint being that there isn't enough. She likes getting the quarts you can find at some Asian takeout places, but they don't offer that here, unfortunately. That aside, the food is good and service is typically quick. Definitely check em out the next time you're craving some Asian food!”

“I have had to visit Atrium Health Cabarrus over the last few days to see a family member. I've been here before and the experience has always been a good one. This time around, it was no different. Upon arrival to the main entrance, the staff greeted you and directed you to the proper line for either seeing a physician or for visiting a patient. You're given either a name tag or a wristband, depending on your purpose for visiting. Navigating to the proper location/floor for your visit can be a little daunting. So the front desk staff also provides you with directions on how to navigate to your destination. It is located off of Highway 29 in Concord, and on location there is plenty of parking. This includes both parking lots and garages. Addition to being a hospital, they are also other retail options such as a gift store and a cafeteria. It is quite a large hospital with many rooms and physicians. I would recommend using this hospital for your health care needs.”

(for comparison, the boba shop in concord mills cost around $11). they also have super cute plushies, shirts, stickers, keychains and snacks to buy as well! i get a thai tea with tapioca boba everytime! 10/10 this is my favorite spot to get boba in concord :)”

“i visited hummingbird jamaican restaurant yesterday. babyyyyyyyy, their food is EVERYTHING. i got their vegan, rasta pasta dish and it’s so flavorful. it was so creamy and full of so much seasoning, when i took a bite it felt like the pasta was “falling off the bone.” ? does that make sense? lol, i hope that painted the picture i needed y’all to see. this is a cooked dish and not cold pasta, think of in the alfredo category but caribbean seasonings. it’s not a vegan restaurant but they have so many amazing options. one of the owners, mike, is a very nice and personable brotha and him and his wife also has a non-profit that helps the homeless and those who were incarcerated in a tremendous way in the city. they have a couple that’s from jamaica cooking the food with their personal recipes, so you KNOW the food is authentic. ?”

“Surprisingly, I really liked this place…Although the restaurant is relatively small, it’s pretty spacious with good lighting & some creative artwork on the walls & the back of the booth chairs. Normally I’m skeptical to try certain foods but I’m glad I gave this place a try. The way the chicken is fried leaves NO GREASE & the food came out pretty quickly & was really good. They have a dine in or take out option & this by far is one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever been in. Service was pretty mediocre but the food made up for it. They also serve wine & a selection of beer as well.”

“Bartender was very nice and attentive. Drinks were very good. Had pulled pork sandwich, beans, Corn on the Cob. Wasn’t a fan of the white sauce on the cob; didn’t really add anything to the taste. The pulled pork was good. Atmosphere was okay. A few more sports TVs around the bar would be nice with some sports on. I’d definitely come back though.”

I had the deluxe cheeseburger with tater wedges and my husband had the chicken tenders dinner with chicken livers and tater wedges he really enjoyed them my son had the super c with fries which was delicious and everything was super affordable we all had sweet tea and our total cost was 36.00 so definitely worth it they also offer dessert but I was full so I didn’t get to try cheesecake will need to try next time as it looked delicious”

It has always been the same woman behind the counter and she knows exactly what we get. She makes them perfectly each and every time which constancy is key.We have not once had an issue with quality or presentation throughout our visits.The inside is a bit lack luster. “I have had to visit Atrium Health Cabarrus over the last few days to see a family member. I've been here before and the experience has always been a good one. This time around, it was no different. Upon arrival to the main entrance, the staff greeted you and directed you to the proper line for either seeing a physician or for visiting a patient. You're given either a name tag or a wristband, depending on your purpose for visiting. Navigating to the proper location/floor for your visit can be a little daunting. So the front desk staff also provides you with directions on how to navigate to your destination. It is located off of Highway 29 in Concord, and on location there is plenty of parking. This includes both parking lots and garages. Addition to being a hospital, they are also other retail options such as a gift store and a cafeteria. It is quite a large hospital with many rooms and physicians. I would recommend using this hospital for your health care needs.”

Our server Te’Liyah was as friendly as she was I top of everything. The only complaint are the fries, they were an absolute oily mess. They didn’t taste like fries, they tasted like the oil they were cooked in. We have been before when it was much busier and had to wait much longer. It all most likely up to how busy they are. The food isn’t worth the price, but it all designed to be all inclusive, so they are gonna jack those prices up a bit.”

I typically get the bento box, which is perfectly proportioned with your protein and rice/noodles along with a sushi roll of your choice and a side (cheese wonton for me; kinda like a rangoon but without the crab) I get their curry chicken which comes with vegetables. The sauce and spices they use are so good, and the veggies are well cooked, pairing perfectly with the rice. My girlfriend loves their wonton soup with the only complaint being that there isn't enough. She likes getting the quarts you can find at some Asian takeout places, but they don't offer that here, unfortunately. That aside, the food is good and service is typically quick. Definitely check em out the next time you're craving some Asian food!”

The omelet was good, I didn't like the sausage in it, and the bacon was fried too hard. The potatoes were good but were too salty and needed more onions. The toast was good, but the butter was not completely melted. The coffee was good. I want to come back and try the pancakes, french toast, and the different juices that Alyssa gave us to sample. Our waitress Alyssa was awesome.”

I was very impressed with this place. I had the pulled pork potato with potato salad (yes, double potato, for research purposes) as my side and this amazing watermelon sweet tea. It was great, the service was fast and friendly. This place checked all the boxes for a quick and great tasting bbq spot. We were lucky enough to get a table out on the patio to enjoy the sun and breeze. I highly recommend The Smoke Pit!!!”

“Had dinner here and it was honestly really good. My steak was cooked to perfection ?. When we arrived there was a line of 9 people waiting. Several staff members stared at the customer's but made no move to acknowledge their presence. There was no hostess and later we were informed there normally isn't one during the week. I watched several people waiting for service leave because no one approached them to be seated and this happened the whole time I was here. There was no soap and barely any toilet paper in the bathroom. My poor waiter was bussing tables, running food, bartending and taking orders. I felt bad having to even ask for more water because the man was doing everything... I mean everything! When he took our order he had the biggest smile and asked what we would like I and told him I want him to take a deep breath he was able to check on us as much as he could given he was doing 10,000 things at once. I'm glad we got the salad bar and we made a couple of trips until our food came out. The salad bar was clean and had a large variety of things on it. I Wish ham wasn't the only meat option. We loved the broccoli ? salad and pumpernickel croutons. The mashed potatoes that came with my NY strip steak were really good. My husband got the trio and it came with ribs and we got the bourbon sauce on it. It also came with shrimp and chicken tenders however those were just run of the mill deep fried items. The ribs were amazing. They were very tender and fall off the bone. The fried shrimp did not look like it had been deveined and the breading on the chicken tenders was rock hard you could barely chew it. He ended up peeling the batter off. Terrible wait but food was good. My waiter was having a Murphy's law all day and we gave him a fat tip. I wished I could have remembered his name but I suck with names. Anyways he's the one getting married!!! We decided we're going to come back just because of him and hopefully will have an even better experience next time.”
