“My wife and I started out a Saturday day trip to go to The Rockford general store near Dobson because we had read about it in Our State magazine. We figured we drive there have some lunch and see a few other things around the area but when we got there unfortunately your kitchen was closed but the owner sent us up to the winery because they had a food truck. Very acquaint little winery with amazing owners. The owner used to fly f-14s in the Navy and he and his wife are very personable and actually have some very good wines. We got a bottle of the Chardonnay and shared it while listening to music and eating food from the food truck. There's a lot of old history to see in this area so making a trip up to the winery and then heading into Rockford would certainly be a good day for anybody. There's also an old church there in Rockford which has a fresco which was painted by the brother-in-law of Ben Long who did the famous fresco's in Glendale springs and West Jefferson. If you are a vet or currently serving in the military they give discounts and they also encourage you to hang up your own picture of 5x7 or less on their wall of honor they are obviously super supportive of our military.“

“The. Best. Wines. Around!Viognier is Ah-maaa-zing. Double gold winner in NC! I'm not a huge steel chardonnay fan, but theirs is fantastic! All their wines are wonderful. Sweet wine drinkers can even enjoy perfect Niagara grape wines. Amazing family run place. You will definitely feel like you're at home!“

“First time visiting Shelton Vineyards! We had a wonderful experience in the Grande Tasting with Tamara! She was so knowledgeable. The vineyard has a lovely story. We enjoyed several wines in the tasting menu and Tamara learned our palates quickly and offered a couple other wines to taste. Jennie, the Director of Estate Hospitality, also made us feel so welcome and happy to be there! We will definitely go back to enjoy their one of the concert series events this year!“

“My family and I ate there tonight it was really good. My hamburger steak was cooked the way I asked. Our appetizers came out hot and in time for us to enjoy before our main course came out. The service was excellent and of course my biggest pet peeve was good she kept my drink cup full. Thanks you Shannon for a job well done.“

“Love Scoops!Parking: It's a little tight on the main road, but the owner has created plenty of parking off the road.Kid-friendliness: Lots of things to see. Interesting metal art pieces and walking paths. This is a great place to visit, especially when you're traveling. Get out, have some ice cream and take a break, take a walk through the woods. There's a dog park and everything.“

“We happened to stumble on this wonderful establishment on a cool Friday afternoon in March. Wendy was an amazing host who shared her knowledge and love of wine (and beer) with the 6 of us. The guys enjoyed the selection of beers while the ladies indulged in the delicious array of wines.We enjoyed learning about their unique bottles and paper labels. We could not have had a better time! “Please note: As of 2023 NO MORE GLUTEN FREE DONUTS! They are no longer able to get the mix from the manufacturer. They do however make fresh vanilla cake donuts (not gluten free) daily.But I still enjoy stopping by! Went through the drive-thru and got an iced white chocolate caramel latte. It was delicious, with fresh house-made with cream on top. Extremely friendly service with a smile, will definitely come back ?“

“The weather was beautiful and we ate outside. That is a great atmosphere. Laken and the other servers were very attentive and always accommodating our requests. The food is good. We only had some appetizers. Wings, zucchini and nachos. The homemade nachos are delicious.“

“Cowboy restaurant in elkin what can I say they out do themselves Everytime I go. I love the food. Got cheese fries, popcorn shrimp with cocktail sauce, and a few times I got the steaks they have. I've tried almost the whole menu at this point and nothing disappoints it's all amazing. 9/10.“
