I'm a long-time Long John Silver's fan, but with none of them in the area I decided to try Captain D's here on a long drive through the area. I was treated promptly and very kindly, it was a cozy and humble place but you could tell the locals enjoyed a Sunday supper here on a regular basis and the clientelle reflected it. I was very VERY pleased with the basic fish fry, and the okra was perfect with the Louisiana hot sauce on each of the tables. I plan to make this stop again...read full review
The food & service were great, but the atmosphere with the workers talking loudly & laughing loudly was very unprofessional. My mother (70+ yrs old) was with me & she was very upset with the way the staff were conducting themselves. The food & the quickness of service was amazing.

This is a place always go when I want shrimp and fish. I love the way its prepared. Meals I order always have two sides. And made to order, nothing is pre-made and served after sitting around for who knows how long. Much better value and food than P__p_y_s for sure.And staff always treats customers with friendly respect.Love It
