“I ordered over the phone for pick up. When I got to the restaurant I was greeted with smiles. The warmth of welcoming me generated off the owners of the place. The food was good. Homemade coleslaw, cornbread muffin, and seasoned fries helped make the meal. The cost is very affordable and with the size of the plates you get great value for what you pay. The plate had weight to it, it was not light. I took a few menus to place at work and I hope this place stays in business a long time. I highly recommended it for the hospitality, pricing value, and quantity of food you get.”

“I want to preface by saying that this cafe is a great place. I’ve been a regular customer here for well over a year. The employees are all kind and polite. They have a large variety of coffees, smoothies, refreshers, baked goods, breakfast and lunch foods. I’m pretty picky about my coffee, and their Snow White latte is amazing…. HOWEVER! The wait time for the drive thru can be ridiculous. I’ve waited 30 minutes for a single coffee MULTIPLE times. If you’re able to go inside and get your coffee, then definitely do so. However, for someone like me who uses the drive thru often because I have no other choice, it’s extremely frustrating. When my husband was deployed I would go through the drive thru to treat myself, with my newborn in tow, and would leave feeling beyond frustrated because the wait time would be so long that my newborn would wake up and inevitably proceed to scream the entire time we sat there. Now, my baby is 13 months, and the issue remains. He’ll be asleep in his car seat, I treat myself to a coffee, I sit and wait in the drive thru for so long that my baby wakes up and proceeds to scream. I place my order online each time, so it’s already paid for and it’s not like I can just leave the drive thru line. Please, have mercy on us who use the drive thru and improve the wait time. It feels like we get forgotten about and definitely not prioritized. It’s almost bad enough that I’m considering not returning. It’s just not worth the excessive long wait time.”

“We have had the worst experience ever today at this restaurant we ordered and 30 minutes later still no food my husband went and asked about the order the manager stated our order would be right out and apologized for the delay. The waitress came by and asked if everything was okay I said no we have not received our food she looked at me and said oh and walked away. 10 minutes later still no food so we got up and left. We stopped to see if we needed to pay for the chips and drinks the girl at the counter said no so we left. This is the first time this has happened we have had slow service in the past but the food has been good.”

The atmosphere is that of a typical bar but not typical for Kinston. Doesn't feel like a bar fight might break out or someone is packing and looking for a reason to use it. Love this place”

“This is the place to go to get real authentic Mexican items, that tend to be local favorites. The owner and their children help take care of the place and they are wonderful people too. It's been a pleasure coming here anytime we needed something, like certain spices you wouldn't find in the average grocery store. It has a hometown feel to it and get to know these people as I have and you will be rewarded immensely. These are good people to be friends with as I am happy to call them great friends.”

“We visited the shop for the first time yesterday and were really impressed! The man that helped us pick our meats out of the butchery was super nice and helpful. Everything was reasonably priced considering you’re paying for everything to be raised and slaughtered at a local small farm. We will definitely be back!!!”
