“This is the place at Kure Beach where "everybody knows your name" and the friendships are strong. The reason for my most recent was the Retirement Party for a local guy: one of the Awesome bartenders contacted some of the regulars and we put on a great celebration! Our other Rock Star Bartender was serving Cold beer, there was music on the jukebox, shooting pool - sounds like a typical bar?. Nah- it's better- it's Bud&Joe's!“

“I originally only wanted to stop in bc I knew The Summer I Turned Pretty used this bar for a filming location so I drug my husband in lol BUT we both loved it!! It's definitely a stop we'd make again! It's a super cool dive bar!! You walk in, either order from the bar or go into the walk in cooler and pick any drink! There are tons of options! Once you have your drink, you're set to either sit inside or you can go out back and enjoy your drinks in the super eclectic and ultra cool outside space. They have tons of outdoor seating areas set up and so many neat things to look at. We highly recommend it!! Definitely worth the stop!!!“

“We came in today 4-8-24, everyone was so nice, sat at the tiki bar had the cape fear pain killer, so good, then order food for take out! So good, enjoyed everything! Hot dogs are awesome, pulled pork sandwiches, and cheese quesadilla. The best! Thank you, girls front Pennsylvanian!!!“

“This was such a fun spot to visit when I was out on the east coast to see my friend this summer. I am a big Nicholas Sparks junkie and the town of Southport is where many of his movies were filmed, or maybe specifically just Safe Haven. Either way, lots to see and so many fun picture moments. On this trip, I had my infant daughter with me and assumed that I wouldn't be allowed in with her as it's a bar. On the last night, we were picking up some seafood takeout for dinner at home and I thought I would at least ask what the protocol is. The guy at the front was so kind. He charged us the usual members fee of $1 to get in which is hysterical. And he said we could totally bring the baby. It's less of a bar and more of a place to grab a drink and sit out watching the water. The view is phenomenal. I ordered a well drink and it was tasty. The other drinks looked really sweet. But the beers and wines seemed decent. This place is a great stop for any Nick Sparks fan and they can serve you a decent drink with a stunning view of the water. Just go once - you will not regret it!“

“Wife and I were anxious to try this restaurant. The atmosphere and the vibe were enticing and initial impression was very positive. They don't take reservations but we were seated right away during their busy dinner hour. We waited over 15 minutes for someone to bring menus and take a drink order. During this time, 3 different wait staff were talking with a couple of "regulars" or on their phones oblivious to everyone else in the restaurant. When one of them came over, they were courteous and quickly got us drinks. When we asked about specials, we were told they were on the board and we could feel free to take a picture and bring it back to the table to discuss! The appetizer was delicious, a three seafood medley of shrimp, crab dip and smoked fish dip. I personally loved the lump crab dip! When the meals were served the portions were generous and flavorful. My wife had a shrimp Cobb salad while I chose the rack of ribs. The food was good but truth be told we barely made a dent in it as we were so full from the appetizer. Overall I enjoyed our meal but was just put off by the initial impression of the service.“

“Wonderful service by all the staff, especially our server, Angela. The atmosphere invites you to stay and enjoy, like an old friend. We loved our first experience at Jailhouse Provisions and encourage all to come and check out their food and entertainment.“

“This is hands down the best meal we’ve had on the boardwalk lately. Delicious food and wonderful service. Fried chicken sandwich was amazing, they actually use fresh chicken, not precooked frozen patties like most places. My oldest got the smash burger and said it was the best burger he’d ever eaten and despite only being 9 he knows his stuff. We will definitely be returning!“

“Interesting little place. Because they don't serve food it's a "private" club. But, for the amazing deal of $1.00 you can become a member and enjoy a beverage or two and a great view. Located between Fishy Fishy and Edgewater, it offers a few tables and a view! Great place to stop by and just take a few minutes and enjoy the scenery“

“I was so excited to visit Nauti Dog after seeing the vegan options that people on here said were available, so I was a bit disappointed to find they had cut a lot of them out ( or at least I wasn’t told about them all). However, they still offered the Impossible Brat as a substitute. So I got the German Dog on the French baguette with the Impossible Brat. It was delicious! Love their homemade chips and their fries, also. All in all, a good vegan option but I wish they still offered the Beyond Mi. That sounded amazing!!Vegetarian options: Vegan Impossible Brat offered as substitute wiener.“

“Go for the drinks and stay for the food! The cocktails were spot on and the food was fantastic. The service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was great. They really did a nice job with the restoration of the building and if you look around you’ll notice they reused/repurposed a lot of original details from the building’s previous life.Vegetarian options: Great salad/bowl options“

“I love the Alfredo pasta you must try it with the blackened chicken. It’s so good and the servers are so nice and friendly when you walk in you can tell you have arrived at the beach the tiki theme is very nice. I give this place a surf up dudes ?“

“Boneless wings were superior, best I have had in a long time. New flavor for me... Jalapeno Strawberry & I would recommend. The other half was Thai Chili with just enough kick. Polish it off with a cold beer... What more could you ask for... oh yeah... Great service art the bar.“
