“This place is an amazing. It's a small place on Monroe Rd, but they have a BIG IMPACT. The food is great. I typically get the eel and they have about 4 eel options. The wasabi is great. I feel right at home and the people working here are always the nicest. If you're looking for good sushi, here you have it. ✌?“
“We were impressed. The bartender made great drinks the appetizers sampler was delicious came with 4 sauces. Were fussy when we order wonton soups and this was really good. We ordered the happy family and the brown sauce was really good. Waitress was very attentive and always came to us if we needed anything and how was food.“
“This was our first time here and we had a great experience. Jazmina was our waitress and even though she was busy she made sure to come back and help us. We really appreciated all her hard work. Chef Williams and his team did a spectacular job on our food and we will definitely be returning here. Thank you for all you did.“
“Tried this on a whim as the place we wanted in plaza has gone takeout only…. I am blown away by the amazing food and staff. This is the best spice I’ve had in a long time. If you hate heat like my wife, they will accommodate you, but if you want a dish as spicy as it’s supposed to be and not just dump more peppers in, this is your place.“
“I've enjoyed 10+ years of sushi perfection at this fantastic restaurant. I do enjoy dining there if the wait isn't too long but it gets busy early. Takeout is always a good idea. Never once has my order been incorrect. This review wouldn't be complete without complimenting the staff. They are always so kind and welcoming!! It feels like family. Thank you, NZ!!“
“Dinner at The Cowfish is always a win. We’ve visited the Orlando location dozens of times, but tonight bisited the Charlotte location since we were in town. Faith, our server, recommended the Togarashi shrimp, and it was phenomenal. Mel, the manager, came out and spoke to us about our visits to Orlando, made some more recommendations, and made sure we were well set for the evening. We had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and Texas chili cheeseburger, both were absolutely excellent. The Cowfish is a must stop in Charlotte or Orlando!“
“One of the best all around Thai restaurants I have ever been to. The food tastes like you were sitting in a Bangkok restaurant. The Mango sticky rice was the best I've ever has anywhere. The presentation of each dish was quite amazing as was the flavor and atmosphere. I will return soon and highly recommend Deejai Thai for everyone.“
“The food was delicious and our waiter was very kind. I went with a group of friends and ordered wagyu fried rice and tempura shrimp sushi. I loved the sushi and rice + wagyu combo, but the tornado egg placed atop the rice dish wasn't very well seasoned. Overall, the rooftop view was nice and we took lots of pictures there.“
“First time Dim Sum and definitely not my last! A buddy brought me here and showed me the way to do it! Very friendly staff and attentive. Pricing and menu kind of confusing(for dim sum), but you will be ok. Great selection of Saki. Free parking garage across the street. I hear their Regular menu is good too.Dietary restrictions: Had many gluten-free options.Parking: Multi-level parking across the street“
“Best poke bowl in Charlotte, jokes asideI’ve been trying poke bawl / sushi for more then a year everywhere around Charlotte. This place is the best place you’ll find, trust me.I can post many pictures of the food I had here but I’ll show you one with my empty bowl ? because it is so good I finished it before I realized I could have shared with you.Love the customer service, food is simply delicious, atmosphere like home, clean and tidy ?Recommend ????? 5 stars“
“Food is always fresh and delicious no matter what I’ve ordered also the service is amazing and the waitresses are always on point! Everyone is very polite great family atmosphere!! By far my favorite sushi restaurant I always recommend this restaurant to my friends and family whenever they’re in town visiting! Try it out I promise you won’t be disappointed!“
“My server her names is Jinny I don’t remember if that’s her exact name but her customer services is on point she’s funny and overly nice and I like that ! this is my first time giving a review which I don’t do because I think it’s a waste of time but definitely go to BONCHON AND LET HER BE YOUR SERVER ! Very expensive I say but food is amazing!“
“I defiantly would like more flavor in the food and maybe shouldn’t have ordered tempura style veggies. I envisioned something else in mind and the batter on the veggies filled me very fast. I ended up giving up on the veggies and went for my sushi roll which was delicious. I love Sake and the bartender recommended a nice smooth one for us. I will go check out other locations in town.“
“Ordered hibachi chicken and teriyaki chicken, veggies and fried rice. It is a small restaurant so it's best to do takeout. The food was delicious and I will be ordering from there again. The cleanliness score was great and that means a lot. I took home one of their menus so I can call ahead next time. Might try the Pad Thai with peanuts next time. There are Chinese, Japanese and Thai options available.“
“We highly recommend Kin Steak & Sushi. We ate there for the first time last night and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was AMAZING! My daughter and I had sushi and my husband had steak. We enjoyed talking with the owners and can't wait to go back!!“
“First tried dining here for a date night, we really loved it so we went back for a family brunch and our little girl absolutely loved it! Our server Andrew was awesome too! From appetizer rangoons, to our yuzu sodas, the entrees (dang! that char siu is the best), and the dessert... customizing our bubble waffles was definitely the highlight!☺“
“Drove all the way from Atlanta for the vegetarian momos. Got here at 8:20PM but they close at 8:00PM. Luckily the owner allowed us to order some momos. Nice chill dude. Momos were worth it. They also validate upstairs parking. Thanks Momo Station for a great experience.“
“I was in the area and decided to dine in. The atmosphere is nice and the customer service was decent. I decided to get a curry ramen and the mango green tea boba. The ramen was large in portion and had a variety of veggies and meats however I felt the flavor was lacking. The boba was okay but not the best. One thing I thought was odd was after I was brought my food, I was told to pick up my own utensil in the front. Nonetheless, all in all, it was a decent experience. ?“
“Wonderful sushi and great hot food options. My favorite is Spicy Thai Basil chicken and for sushi I love the Red sake roll as well as the Phoenix roll. The staff is awesome. Have followed Steve and Yisa from Wild East Bistro and happy they are so close by! Give them a try!“
“An absolute hidden gem! I had what I consider to be the best sushi I’ve had so far in life here. It’s never busy somehow, service is quick, friendly + helpful, and the vibe is lowkey. But the food is nothing short of perfection! Reasonable prices AND an immense selection. My favorite sushi spot in town! ?“
“Very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Upon first impression, you get the instant feeling of a Japanese style type of Speakeasy. Food was very well prepared and tasted wonderfully. Plates and chopsticks, although not the biggest factor, were of good quality and design. Wonderful staff and the owners seem to be down to earth people with the hunger of making their place one of the best in Charlotte. Overall, I was very pleased on their soft opening that I told them I would be returning the following week to pay my thanks.“
“I freaking loved it! That Shanghai Noodle meal was THE BOMB and had a kick to it. You could see the stem coming from the bowl minutes after it was delivered. It was so flavorful; the pineapples and their juices added luxury to the taste. The chili peppers ? ? ?. I even made my very own Shanghai Lettuce Wraps, which turned out to be just what the doctor ordered. We also tried the Margherita Pasta bowl...yummy baby! Come check it out. Service and atmosphere were great and loud, which is to be expected. Stonecrest Location“
“Loved the decor and ambiance of this place to begin--sexy, modern, dim. Our hostess/waitress/bartender (LOL) was sweet and attentive. The food was outstanding. We shared some apps first. The standouts were the pork gyoza, which was both tender with a perfect pan sear on one side, and the shrimp shumai which came swimming in a sauce so flavorful that we dipped everything else in it! The spring rolls were decent, if a tad doughy for my taste. Do yourself a favor and order the double fried wings in Kudoku sauce. We seriously had to stop ourselves from getting another order because we knew the entree was coming. We shared the Korean short rib entree. I thought the pieces of meat would have been be a little thicker, but it was very tasty. The Brussels sprouts that came with it were phenomenal! I'd eat those as a main course. *giggles* I'll be back! Wonderful addition to the Plaza Midwood food scene.“
“Food here is amazing, the appetizers were by far the best part of the meal. Not to downplay the rest of the menu, the apps are just that good! Service wasn't the best, but we were in a large group so understandable that things would slip through the cracks. Overall a great experience!Parking: Parking is a garage located behind the restaurant, if restaurant is on your right side, you will take a right onto side street and another right into garage. 90 minutes free parking, be sure to register your vehicle via the QR code.“
“Love Thai Orchid. It's better than most other Thai food around. I always get your duck curry but tried all their food.. everything's great. Staff is great, great atmosphere too.Update: They have significantly reduced the quantity of meat (at least in the duck curry) since COVID, with the cost going up. I don't have to be searching for duck meat! Please go back to the original recipe! I have stopped going as often now as I used to go mainly for the duck curry. I still highly recommend Thai Orchid!“
“Unbelievable Szechuan food. A hidden gem. The menu has some authentic cuisine and some less challenging fare for those with a less curious palate.. Service is great as well.Update: Beware of takeout! Your bill will automatically be added the service fee with no option for you to make a decision.“
“My wife and I both liked the sushi she ordered, but we both found the ones I ordered middling. The Pink Lady, as an example, was all lobster salad, very little avocado, and no mango. The brightness of some mango would have really cut through and made it a good roll, but without it, it was just fishy mayo and rice.“
“One poor woman was handling the entire dining room. She did an excellent job, so she’s not to blame. They could have been short staffed. The sushi was delicious. The sesame entree was heavily coated in a thick syrup that drowned the main feature and had no semblance of “brown sauce” as identified in the menu, but instead a sweet and sour type sauce that just wasn’t appealing. The pad Thai was just so so with a very bland base, but worse was the burnt sesame oil flavor that permeated throughout the dish. We would likely return for the sushi alone.“
“Have not been here for a while, I meet with my friends have dinner here. The Shui Mai was so good, not even get time to take picture all gone, lol. Sashimi was fresh and tempura was good. Especially fried rice noodle, we got shrimp fried noodles, it was very good! highly recommend! Plus my friend ordered a bento box, a lot of different things can eat, will try next time! Hope be here soon!“
“My boyfriend and I went here for New Year's Eve and it was delicious! The atmosphere was laid back, and it wasn't busy, even during a peak holiday and time (which we loved because it was quiet). The server and food were both amazing! Our drinks were good as well. The food was just so good we kept ordering more. We got sushi, bao, seaweed salad, Bahn mi, and curry. Go with a plan on what you want to eat, or try it all! It's very hard to pick because it all sounded delicious....and it was! We are going back soon!“
“I had the KFC & OG bao. They were both excellent. The buns were pillowy and the fillings were delicious. There were many enticing options at Optimist Hall but Bao & Broth just kept pulling me back. The service was spot on, I received a txt as soon as it was ready. The cashier and expediter was friendly. I will definitely return and try the other options.“
“Finally! Delicious hibachi in Charlotte. The sauces were really fresh and flavorful, all the vegetables had a great taste and texture, and the meat was tender. I ordered a medium, rare, filet mignon, and it was prepared more on the rare side. I thought that fifty two dollars for one entrée with one veggie roll was pretty steep pricing for takeout. The portion size were reasonable, but not large, and hibachi includes fried rice, but not noodles. Would definitely return for the flavor, less jazzed about the pricing.“
“If you want some good wings, this is the place to go! The drums are the size of your fist! We tried the plain, Korean BBQ, and soy garlic. All were really good, Korean BBQ had some spice, and soy garlic was my favorite.Wheelchair accessibility: There is hardly any space between tables. Servers had trouble just getting to tables. Probably not the place to go if wheelchair bound.“
“The cashier was beautiful and so cheerful, and lady assisted her with a smile and just great energy on this rainy day. But most importantly the bowl was 10/10 plus it was a Tuesday special. I had to double back and buy 2 more for take home...yes, that good.Vegetarian options: The vegetables were cooked perfectly soft with a little crunch, everyone was so friendly“
“I love the seafood pho, the seaweed salad, the BOGO sushi rolls (my favorite is the Sunset roll), the fried calamari, tempura shrimp and vegetables, and mixed vegetables stir fry in white sauce with fried rice are my go to dishes, but I haven't had a dish here I didn't like. Good atmosphere and service as well.“
“Last week I went back to Co during happy hour. It's been almost a year since I've dined here, and it was just as I remembered. The server was attentive and the apps came out quickly. You can't beat their happy hour specials. It's worth the visit, even if there is a little wait.“
“After reading one of my other pho reviews of other pho places I'm Charlotte I've really been contemplating one question: What is the quintessential American pho experience. Now, personally, I prefer the tight, small, let's say "quaint" vietnamese places preferably with a bunch of dudes outside smoking and/or playing cards. There has to be some kind of gambling machine nearby. The music is vietnamese. that kind of stuff.Be-em has truly nailed it. Heart mind and body. There's no host, no server to seat you, you walk in and order from a nice big tablet. Take your time. Read through it all. It's touchscreen so it's very intuitive. I love it. Really feels like more restaurants need to follow exactly Be-ems lead. For the heart, this place is beautifully decorated with high ceiling and just it's a while vibe you gotta check out. For the mind, there are these laminated papers that have the story behind the restaurants name and frankly it almost brought a tear to my eye, really soothes the soul to see hard work pay off and be so real. For the body, well ultimately this is why every one eats, the pho was great! Definitely a google maps 5 star. I will now include what I call my "graduated pho scale" which is the most critical lens with which I grade wherein a 10 is essentially michelin star so-to-speak. This pho gets a 7 which is very good. The broth for me was a little salty but the meat was excellent. That reminds me I gotta rant about this meat cuz it was really really good. The pho got a 6 but the meat elevated it to a 7 for sure. You can really taste how they pride themselves on the meat I loved how the brisket had a smokey quality and I've never gotten more meatballs served to me in a pho "special" although I don't think it came with tendon or tripe. That said, this is probably the best experience for first time pho tryers and for kids! They have lots of Boba tea options and pho is only a little bit of the menu there are lots to try!Overall experience was a 10/10 this isn't just a restaurant it is a total hang out spot like get a drink with your friends and chill super cool kind of place!“
“This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal! I’ve lived in Matthew’s ever since I was born and I never would’ve expected such a lovely, atmospheric restaurant to be this close to home as me and my family usually drive at least 30 minutes out for a good dining experience. I visited Sizzle for the very first time today after eating at an extremely lackluster sushi place in Charleston earlier this week and I was so delighted by the friendliness of the servers and kitchen staff at Sizzle. The Braised Tofu and Vegetables is a solid choice for vegetarians, it was so well marinated that I can honestly just eat the peppers and carrots (which, by the way, retained their crunch and flavor while still being completely cooked ?). My boyfriend and I shared a plate of their sesame balls fresh from the fryer, and no other sesame balls, in my opinion, can even hold a candle to what we were presented with! Our server was also absolutely amazing, she was very helpful and kept our water full! Sizzle should be called the Mitochondria, because it is the powerhouse of Matthew’s. I will be back soon with my father and brother to try another dish. Thank you Sizzle for this experience, I will be day dreaming about you :)“
