“Found this place while looking for a new spot on a Sunday evening. The beer was great, and this is the only brewery or bar I’ve been to in the Charlotte area that has decent lighting. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and friendly and kind. Definitely recommend.“

“Hi Wire is a great place for a wide variety of FREE games. Ping pong, air hockey, soccer pool, connect 4. I always love a space with gender neutral bathrooms and wheel chair accessibility. The beer selection and calendar of events is very robust as well.An area of improvement is using gender neutral pronouns for the patrons. I noticed rainbow flags all over the space but I was misgendered by the bar tender which didn’t feel affirming. I gave the space 4 stars because I recommend using they pronouns if you don’t know how someone identifies.“

“Amazing drinks, first tasted one of their Blender series at a local bottle shop and could not stop talking about it. Found out this was not too far from me and took my best friend with me. I tried a few beers, the food truck sadly was closed when we went but they were very accommodating with us getting outside food. Seems they have some events that happen regularly, including a cycling group. The bartender was informative and had no problems answering specific questions. Even let me know which beers were vegan for me to take some home to my wife. Amazing selections.“

“Have been here before and its such an enjoyable experience! Love the vibe inside and bartenders are always friendly and helpful. They have gingers revenge on tap which i was thrilled about but also tried other beers and all were delicious! They also now have snacks for purchase including pimiento cheese and gluten free options as well!!“

“Absolutely loved the vibe. The music was excellent and everyone was so chill and friendly. Service was fast and courteous even during a major event our UNCC social work program coordinated. This was my first visit, and I'll definitely be back with friends. Food by Taco Green-go was a delicious cherry on top.“

“Growlers is a Noda staple and I'm so glad it's part of the neighborhood. Ambiance ranges from cozy to bustling and I love that you can just really choose your own adventure here. You can have the crispiest draft PBR in Charlotte, or you could have a beautifully crafted cocktail. Perfect spot to drop in for a snack, or you can just live large and fill up an entire booth table top with plates of their delicious food. Their burger, nachos, oysters, wings, fries, vegetable crudité are all excellent. I have friends who swear by the various sandwiches. My only tip is that you go in knowing you will leave smelling like the doughnut shop in the back. It's a delicious smell, but there's no way to hide you just enjoyed a trip to growlers! The staff takes care of you for sure. Shout out Kelli especially!!! Kelli treats regulars like friends and new guests with respect! Sometimes it feels like Kelli can read my mind. It's always a pleasure to see familiar faces, but anytime I see someone new here they're always attentive as well. Go visit if you haven't already!!!“

“Great first visit to SPB! We had the American burger, the kids chicken tenders/fries and kids grilled cheese with fries. The burger was "fine". The side salad was great quality but was mostly apples and little kale....maybe it's mixed up in a big batch and when they scooped out a serving, it just so happened to get all the apples? the hand battered tenders and the grilled cheese on the sourdough roll were fantastic BUT THE FRIES!!! They were the star of the night!! YUM! We had a couple mixed drinks that were made just how we liked them. I couldn't believe how quickly the drinks came out. It was impressive. My husband will skip the burger next time and try the Reuben instead. We can't wait to come back! It was a little tricky to find. It's between Dick's and The Container store“

“My wife and I came here for an improv comedy show - much fun! - and I was stoked to finally get to try the food here. I’ve had their beer many times and my first IPA was theirs, but never really hung out to catch the vibe or eat.We started with the beer cheese pretzels and the beer cheese was easily the best beer cheese I’ve ever tasted. It was a combination of a bunch of cheeses and was perfectly gooey and tasty. It had a nice crust on it from the broiler and I promise you there wasn’t any left when we finished.I then had the Korean Smoked Pork Belly Tacos and they were fire! Damn! Out of this world good. The coleslaw meshed so well with the pork belly and kimchi sauce. It was tangy and smooth and just delicious. I wanted to eat some more.My wife didn’t eat but she did enjoy a couple of cans of cider. Not theirs but from a brewery in Raleigh. Orange You a Hippie was the name of it (semi-dry, orange peel and hibiscus). I took a sip and it was quite tasty.I had two glasses of their Pick’n Series sour (cranberry, pomegranate, and lime), one glass of their Friendly Competition (nice German-style lager), and a glass of their Coast to Coast Itinerary (West Coast IPA) and all were delicious.We sat outside on the patio after the show and enjoyed the warm spring evening.
