“Only today, I learned about Plov, the national dish of Uzbekistan. So... I went in search and found the Nomad Plovhouse. Currently, they are part of Southend Eats, so it's all take-out. But don't let that hold you back! This food is good! I tried the beef Plov. In a word... excellent!! The flavors encountered were impressive! I completely understand why it's so popular in Uzbekistan!! Don't forget the dumplings! They're very good and a perfect accompaniment, as was the Chickpea salad! Oh, and I didn't have to wait long for my order to be completed. Excellent service as well! This was my first time trying Plov AND Nomad Plovhouse, but it will most definitely not be my last!“
“Wow! The hype was real! I had to check out this place before they shut down on Sunday. The Ma Duke's plate w/catfish was delicious! Some of the best fish ever! Bubba chucks were awesome... light and fluffy. The stewed greens tasted great although a lil' too much sauce. The field pea slaw was like regular slaw. Jimmy sauce was tasty! Nice atmosphere eating at their bar. Very glad I was able to experience Jimmy Pearls. Best wishes to these guys in their next endeavor!!!“
“I really love the wall art and the seating. Very authentic and beautiful. The black ramen was my fav, I added fish cakes and chicken, the chicken is to die for omg. The broth is splendid and I love the portions in the ramen, especially the bean sprouts since I'm a big fan of those. The chopsticks are great quality and the sake I had was super oishii. My partner had white ramen and it was also really good. The pork belly literally melts in your mouth its so delicious. We spent about 70+tip, had 1 white, 1 black, a Kani (crab) salad, added chicken and fish cakes, and a bottle of sake which was like 22. I really loved the crab salad, it was honestly spicier than I expected and I loved it.“
“I haven't been here since the 80s. but I was very impressed let me tell you. it's simple fare done right without breaking the bank. I watched my 80 year old mom devour her food, and she's a picky one. I can't wait to go back and try something else. it's a plain looking restaurant, but they do things right. tasty. I had hamburger steak with gravy and grilled onions. a side of mashed potatoes with gravy and a side of pintos.. oh man. tender, and juicy... good tea as well. I'll be back.“
“I have only gotten food here twice (so far) but everything I have had was delicious! I ordered fish and chips last night and the sticky bun bread pudding. The fish was probably the best fish I’ve ever had!! Unfortunately they forgot the “chips” part of the meal, which was a bummer. However, I was full on just the fish and dessert so in the end I wasn’t that upset. But more importantly, I called them as soon as I got home and discovered the fries were missing and they gave me a (what I consider) a generous gift card for forgetting the fries. Will continue to come back!!!“
“Great lunch spot! Ordered al pastor tacos and was pleased. $16.95 for 3 tacos, rice and refried black beans. Everything was delicious and hot. Chips and salsa are $1.95 extra fyi. I do consider this an expensive lunch, considering this was lunch. I did order water but once you toss in a decent tip, you’re over $25 for a lunch. And a lunch most people would finish as it wasn’t “large”. But they did have several other dishes I would return for, regardless of price. Enjoy ?“
