“I love going there.Everything I eat isGreatI love the collard greens, mashed potatoes with gravy. They need to advertise the daily special each day on Facebook or something. The barbeque is sogood!!The spopcorn shrimp is better than a seafood restraunt.Thesalt and pepper catfish is the bomb!!It's all good everything I get to eat there!“
“Service was awesome. Delicious sweet tea. Eclectic menu. We had patty melt, bbq quesidilla, and daily special sloppy joe. Food was delicious. Only thing I'd change was didn't care for rye bread on patty melt. But that's a personal preference. When we go back I'll ask for different bread.“
“My first visit to the Mocksville Waffle House. It was clean and very bright inside. The staff were all nice and friendly. I thought I wanted breakfast, but the cheesy grilled chicken with bacon and a side of hashbrowns caught my eye... it did not disappoint! The tea is sweeter than I am used to, but I really didn't want coffee. I should have gotten Sprite or Rootbeer. Next time for sure.“
“Heard good things about the Rusty Gate and finally had a chance to check it out for myself. It's at the site of the old Maw Maw's Restaurant on 158 near Farmington Rd. Parking is close and it's easy access off 158. Walking I , it gives off the vibe of a small town eatery. Love it. I seated myself and was greeted by a server with a menu. But I never looked at the menu. Their specials board caught my attention: cheeseburger and fries for $7.99! Did I see that right? Did I die and was seeing a flashback to 2010? No sir! It was legit, $7.99. UNHEARD OF TODAY! The restaurant is clean and cozy. My server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the burger all the way, as it should be. The food came out fairly quickly. The fries were crinkle cut (which I love) The burger was well dressed and prepared to order. The fries were hot. The burger and fries met expectations. The food was good, service was good and it was a comfortable atmosphere to sit and have a nice relaxing lunch. Definitely will be back. It's worth a stop if you find yourself in the area.“
“So they only had the one waitress, so I assume that might be why she wasn't the most welcoming/ friendly. Could have just been a bad day. But it makes a visit to somewhere like this, in a huge way. She seemed nice, and maybe another day, she was totally fine. The food was great! Unique flavors, which I love!! Also, a nice variety of flavors for the fries, too. Nice atmosphere. Had games and such. Overall, it would get a 5 star rating if I visited, and the waitress was a friendly one!“
“Absolutely loved the food , the atmosphere and the wait staff would definitely recommend and I will definitely be going back my new favorite Irish pub ! My waiter was "mattie" he was by far the best waiter I've hadEdit-womp.wompKid-friendliness: Love the way people treat kids here“
“Everyone was so nice. I had popeys chicken that was good. Restrooms were clean, there was a great variety of other snacks and foods to eat on the quick go. The guys and gals at the shop were awesome and I want to thank them for fixing my truck.“
“This is our go to place as Mocksville residents. Good basic fair at good prices and excellent service. The new ownership, early this year, has made some changes in the layout, but the menu and service is the same. The beer selection is pretty wide for the small town dining location. Burgers are good, real cheese; the mushroom Swiss burger is my favorite. The sandwiches are good, the home made chips are excellent consistently, rarely a soggy one... They are now open Tuesday through Saturday, and we are there twice a week normally. The owner and staff is friendly, the clientele is mostly local families. My favorite is the steak salad; excellent meat, a full, but not oversized meal. There are pasta dishes, some seafood and a great special most days through the week.“
