“Wednesday is the day to go. Their Dipped Chicken will make you lick your plate? The baby flounder and white fish are awesome too. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but well with the wait. Slap my mouth awesome! All this with a gorgeous view of the Lake.Parking: Plenty of parking unless you are vying for a spot with those folks just heading to church or just getting out.Kid-friendliness: So many good choices for kids they're too busy eating to misbehave. Staff is very attuned to their needs.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat ramp to the inside with plenty of maneuvering room once you're inside. Reserved disabled parking right at the door.“
“Heard so much about this place so I decided to try it for lunch. Great choice. I got a sample of the chicken salad and it was just like homemade. Ordered some and had the pulled pork tray for lunch. Another great choice. The cashier was so friendly and nice and was patient as it was my first visit. I am definitely returning soon. Price was reasonable and money well spent. Hight recommend for some home cooking. Can’t wait to go back to try other menu items.“
“The service we received was excellent! Our server Brandon C. was so attentive to our table all while serving a party of well over 20 adults and children by himself. Never missed a beat! Also Jared who brought us our appetizer and drinks was an so friendly and personable just in the simple few minutes of coming to the table. I live in Salisbury, NC and eat here OFTEN and typically have good service but tonight was an exceptional experience. Huge shout out to Greg the manager for the great work he is doing in this establishment.“
“Went on a Friday night. They had a guy playing live music and an hour wait. The wait was worth it! The food was awesome. My table had the family diner with oysters, clams, corn shrimp, and crablegs as well as the shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was really chill. The wait staff was great! We will definitely be back!“
“This BBQ restaurant is located on the north side of Salisbury in close proximity to both the Catawba and Livingstone College campuses and the Bob Heffner Veterans Medical Center. Walking into this barbeque restaurant was like a trip back in time to my younger years when there was a barbeque joint in every small community serving great chopped and sliced barbeque sandwiches and trays. Also reminded me of the freshly grilled hotdogs and hamburgers served all the way with chilli, slaw and onion and don't forget the pimento cheese burgers. College Barbeque has all these memories served fresh daily. They deserve more than a 5 Star rating !Parking: Small parking lot that fills up quickly during the lunch time rush other times plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking at entrance only downside is the restrooms are outside the building“
“The place is super cute. I love the decor. The real winner is the food. It is AMAZING! My husband and I have been a couple of times and it does not disappoint. Everything we've had has been delicious. You have to try the berry baked brie for your appetizer. It's so good! Highly recommend Sweet Meadow Cafe!Vegetarian options: They have several vegetarian options. I can't remember them off the top of my head, but I remember seeing them.Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating. We brought my parents here for dinner when they came to visit. They both have dietary restrictions. Sweet Meadow gladly made the adjustments they needed.Parking: There is a free parking lot down the street. It is a little bit of a walk, but it's not bad. There's also street parking available.“
“* * This is an Update to my original review. The food is extraordinary.... had the shredded beef bowl today! I didn't realize until the second visit today....how absolutely every morsel has a great surprise - unbelievable taste!Try it!When you find a pearl in an oyster you're not surprised. That's what they do! When you come across a "perfect little gem" of an eatery on a Highway - kinda in the middle of a country road - that's not just a surprise it's a treasure.WOW 601 (named for the Highway it's on) is an enigma wrapped up in a conundrum!Well, maybe it's just a diamond in the rough. Drive by too fast you'll miss it! And you would MISS some of the most delicious food in North Carolina I have had.WOW 601 is run by the friendliest couple - local small business owners from Venezuela. The food is anything like fast food....everything is cooked to order. Fresh ingredients all.The "Bowl" I had was scrumptious. A rhapsody of tastes, textures and flavors - awakening all yummy sensations. It was filled with marinaded chicken, lettuce, cheese, black beans, olives, green peppers, pico de gallo, cucumber, and topped off with a heavenly pink sauce.....delicate and just the right combination of flavorful and traditional. The menu is varied and "hit the proverbial spot.Pull into this little spot and enjoy a surprise beyond any expectation.Enjoy!“
“Obsessed! We stumbled by this gem by chance alone and to our shock and awe they make fresh pasta here! Each order is made right then. No heating lamps. Reheating frozen items etc. The owner/ chef Hubert came to our table to check on us and was so kind and passionate about his work it was infectious! We will def return and 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!“
“I recently went there for a free Medicare for Boomers presentation. Prior to that, it had been years since I had eaten there because I hadn't cared for the food (I can't remember now what I ordered back then). This time, however, I was overall satisfied with my dinner: fried flounder / shrimp combo with baked potato and coleslaw. Plenty on the plate, so I left there full. If I go back again, though, I would probably opt for something broiled or baked.“
“Normally I get bone-in wings whenever I go but today I wanted something different. I got the chicken quesadilla and I’m glad I did! It was so good. It had plenty of cheese, onions, and peppers. I love coming here because the food is always good and the service is always great.“
“Food and service was the best I have ever had. This was our first experience at Ivan's and will not be our last. Our server "Tawny B" was the best!! I'm sure the other servers are good as well, but she served us and was amazing. It is kind of pricey but for special occasions it is the place to go!!“
“Ah The Carriage Room. This was my hangout in the eightys. I was there 6 nights a week mostly. I was happily pleased that not much had changed in the 30 years since I had last been in. The bartender was extremely friendly and the prices were still very fair. They have enlarged to two rooms, four bathrooms, and three pool tables. The bar is bigger also. They used to have killer burgers, but I didn't try any food. My request, please bring back Old Milwaukee. The taste is as great as it's name.“
“I had never heard of this place and certainly didn't realize it was a chain until pulling it up on Google Maps. I ate here on Friday and it was spectacular. I was very happy with the pancakes and the livermush+egg+cheese sandwich. I also had a bite of hashbrowns and country fried steak. I highly recommend this place because not only was the food great, but the service was wonderful and the price was right.“
