“Small town restaurant go to for your bar-b-que and smoked meats. Bar-b-que chopped was moist perfect amount of sloppy the bread wasn't soggy and topped with in house made BBQ sauce and BBQ slaw. I wanted smoked chicken half or quarter and had asked about the chicken plate but the clerk didn't really elaborate. Great choice and worth the drive.“

“Local diner with a decent breakfast. A place for old times and law enforcement/first responders to gather and swap tales before the day starts. The coffee is strong and the bacon is crisp. Can't go wrong with the daily special. Enjoy!“

“Some of the best steaks around! I ate the Outlaw Ribeye and it was heaven! The Porterhouse was excellent as was the Sirloin!!! So juicy and so full of flavor!!! The Parmesan Crusted stuffed mushrooms was AMAZING!!! We live in a small town and drove over an hour to get there and it was well worth it!!! The only "down" side is they are so quick with their service that you're still enjoying your salad/sides when the main course arrives. I understand them needing to turn their tables quickly, but it makes for a rushed meal!!! “This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Hickory. Not only is the food delicious, but the owner has gone out of her way to offer an entire menu to people like myself who cannot have gluten. Going to a restaurant nowadays and looking to see if anything is gluten free is always a toss up. Charlie Granger's is the only place where I can come and feel like I can order as a normal person. Getting a burger and fries may not seem like a big deal, but for someone like me who usually can't do it, eating at Charlie Grangers's is a dream come true. All the food is delicious regardless if it's gluten free or not. My wife loves the shrimp burger, and my in laws love the hot dogs. So give this place a try. “I visited 5/5/24 with my dad and bonus mom. I absolutely loved it. I had the turkey club with fries, and we all tried the Dr pepper texas sheet cake, it was delicious. My dad got a half slab of ribs with green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole, it was superb, and my bonus mom had the chef salad with chicken, it was huge. Our waitress was awesome, an absolute delight. Can't wait to go again.“

“Hey! For the price, this place rocks! Especially if you’re a poor college student desperate for a cheap bite! The hotdog combo comes with chips and a drink at no additional charge. I ordered off of door dash for delivery, and was shocked at how cheap it still was! Usually the toppings are what makes a hotdog good, but these hotdogs themselves bring enough flavor to the party and would be quite enjoyable even if you ate them plain! Also the sweet tea is perfect! Highly recommend!“

“Delicious bbq. Easily some of the best Piedmont style sauce I've had. The bbq is sold by the pound, and while it looks unappetizing at first all packed in the tray, it's delicious. You kinda get the feeling you're not supposed to go inside, but don't worry, you are!“

“After a busy day we decided to order takeout from here and eat it down below at the brewery. I am not a fan of takeout usually but everything was so fresh and well put together in our bag I was blown away. The host was very nice and the bar staff seemed to be having a lot of fun! Our food even 10 minutes later unopened due to getting a drink was still very hot and absolutely delicious. Recommend the smash burger and catfish bites!“

“The chopped bbq slaw and beans can't be beat. I always have yo have extra vinegar sauce because it's that good. I just wish I didn't feel like i was interrupting them everytime I go inside. To solve that problem I just call ahead and use the convenient pick up window.“
