“The jerk seasoning was actually spicy but not so much so that it ruined the meal. The patties were piping hot and had chunks of meat. The peas & rice was seasoned. The cabbage wasn't over cooked. The portion of food was more than enough.”

“This was a super treat! I have always wanted to go and we finally made the time! I had an old fashion limeade, that was soooo yummy! The portions for each of our lunches was huge, but I had to save room for dessert! We each had the apple pie, which was highly recommended by our amazing waitress! At checkout we chatted with the owner and he was so so nice! This place is one that we will return to, at least monthly!”

“I’m not a local and was traveling through to see a customer who has relocated to this area. I passed by Al’s Diner and thought I have to stop in for lunch on my way back. Man, am I sure glad I did!!! The food was AMAZING and exactly what I was hoping for. The homemade chips were spot on with fantastic ranch for dipping. If you are from the south, you know how important good ranch is. The desserts sounded to die for but as soon as I heard Banana pudding and found out it was homemade, yep - sign me up! I was not disappointed and am still thinking about how great the food was. To top it all off, the place was clean, staff were super friendly and on a roll. I never had to ask for a thing. They were there to refill my drink before it was half empty, food came out quick, had my dessert ready to go and cleaned up my plate in front of me when I was done. If you are traveling through or relocating there and looking for a fantastic place with a variety of foods - Al’s Diner is the place! You will not be disappointed. I’m looking forward to bringing my team there when we are back in the area!”

“I have been coming here since they opened as a member’s only club and I will say it’s by far one of the most consistently great places I have been here in NC. The food is always delicious, the menu is small and curated so every item is really good. One of my favorite items is the little biscuits, fancy ham & truffle cheese. I don’t like ham as a rule but I came here with someone who wanted to try it and I am so glad we did. Now I like ham, just has to be ham at the beagle! The fried chicken is delicious, the meatballs are moist, flavorful and satisfying. No plates are too big so you can order a few things to have a range of flavors. The drinks are always spot on and the service is fast and accommodating. Tonight I stopped in for a burger and it was so good I didn’t even get a pic before I dug in. Perfectly cooked on a potato bun with red onion and cheddar cheese, it’s the backyard burger you wish your dad made. Then I had the raspberry, pistachio & mascarpone cream trifle. I paused long enough to photograph it. Come into this charming spot and feel like a local, order a drink and get some apps, make a friend at the bar or go hide at a table in the back either way you won’t be sorry.”

“I really enjoy The Roost. It’s always a great atmosphere, I’ve always enjoyed the musical artists, everyone is always in a good mood, and if you can grab a table you are golden! I hope they get the wood firing part of the pizza a little more evened out because the pizzas are too charred around the crust but the pizza and ingredients are awesome.”

I pulled up at 10 minutes until closing, and I asked up front if since it was close to closing time would I be able to get food cooked fresh to order or not, and that if not I understood- again being so close to closing time. Well TeeAnna C was so kind and politely told me that yes they could and it would be a 10 minute wait. Our food is delicious! “My son chose Chatham Mills at Forest Hall in Pittsboro for his wedding venue and wanted the perfect place for a congratulatory pre-party that was family friendly and beautiful too!
Well, Chelsea Emerine, your event planner, made it happen. I told her what we were wanting and she made it happen. We chose the outdoor patio with the lights for our party. It was perfect and everyone enjoyed mingling among themselves while enjoying the wonderful taco bar layout and drinks!
Also, I huge shout out to Lillian, Malik and Teagan. They were amazing servers and also chipped in to help with decorating and cleanup.
Thank you each and everyone for making the evening so wonderful for my son, Stephen, and his new wife, Brooke!
