So, so, tasty! I was reminded of how much I love these knishes at the Yelper Party in June. I'm seriously hooked and usually pick one up when I see them out and about. When I was growing up, a knish was one of those delicacies that we always stopped at Shatzkin's for on the way home from Coney Island visiting my grandfather. Nothing could compare to a piping hot, savory kasha knish. It's been a long time since then... and I can't remember the last time I had such an excellent knish! Omgoodness...can you say delish? I haven't had a decent knish in yearsss. I stumbled upon them at the Downtown Cary Food & Flea. I sure hope they are back in June. Anyway, we couldn't decide, so we went with 1 of each..the savory potato and the not overly sweet potato knish. Both were seasoned just right, with the right amount of spices.
