I had the Falafel Burger with a side of brussel sprouts -- both delicious. It's essentially a self-serve place, but the staff was efficient and friendly. Brewery onsite means plenty of beer choices; they offer wine also. Menu is on the pricey side, but food portions were generous. Definitely worth another visit.
I had been following Loott House on social for a while and hadn't managed to find a time to try it. When we had friends in town who were staying in the Black Mountain/Swanannoa area at Christmas, I suggested we go! So glad I did. They had big tables for us to sit at, the food was excellent, beer and wine selections were both great (I was surprised at the variety and quality of the wines especially, as I'm not a big beer drinker and they share space with a brewery). Loved the rice bowl. My friend’s burger and fries looked terrific. The seating is weird. Low chairs, high tables or the reverse… Hope they work this out. Makes sitting at the bar preferable. Or takeout… Waze takes you to their old Tunnel Road location. They should move their sign on Tunnel over to their new location... The signage on the new building has the Terra Nova name with Loott’s only in the corner of the window.
