“We 4 bowlers bowled women State Bowling this past weekend. After 6 games Sunday, we had an early supper. Had to wait 20 minutes for a booth. Our waiter was great. Got our breadsticks and salad promptly. Our meals were generous. I had a 6oz.sirloin and feccitinue. Delicious! I barely finished it. The other 3 took leftovers home. I love this Olive Garden. Always a good place for a meal.”

“I got married at Moonlight Ridge and would do it over and over again! Darin and Karen were easy to work with and were happy to answer any questions I had through my engagement and wedding planning. They were able to recommend other businesses in the area to work with that they personally trusted and appreciated the results of. When it came to the days leading up to the wedding, they took care of many logistical things were I would not have known where to start-how many chairs at each table, how many tables to have out, what arrangement of ceremony chairs would be best. During our reception they took care of the head table when it was time to open up the dance floor, and even opened up the south doors to expose another deck covered in vines and lights (the perfect spot for our last dance). Not only is the venue beautiful, I have personally seen the improvements they continue to make to their venue year after year. They have added a fountain, beautiful trees and landscaping, and have updated even their tables in the pavilion. They truly care about continuing to give their customers the best experience. And last but not least, their wine is pretty spectacular. Many of our guests left with their own bottles, and I know that even more guests enjoyed a glass of Moonlight Ridge wine during our reception. I am SO glad I picked Moonlight Ridge and would do so again without any hesitation!”

“Just like home, just like family. Came to GI for junk jaunt 3 years ago. We stopped at this cafe, because I like supporting local business's and its fun to meet and talk to the locals. Man... this stop was spot on. Loving folks, owner and staff. PLUS the locals.. we had a ball sitting there visiting with everyone... Solo, I made a trip thru Grand Island at a later date, so made a point to stop in. They remembered me... it had been nearly a year since was there. Guess what... we junk jaunted again this year, stopped in and hugs, caught up on things, like ole home week.. Oh dang, almost forgot ....THE FOOD.... totally perfect....the cook is amazing... and the PIES.... OMG.... out of this world good.... home made with LOVE mixed all over. Of the meals I;ve eaten there.... each one I say is the best, till I have the next one and then its the bestest... MHO: Skip the fast food joints, who don't care who you are... sit down, relax, enjoy the company, eat some wonderful food that is home cooked,made to order..... and actually, easy on the pocket book.... ...Never know who u mite meet, or become friends with while your enjoying a rush free meal.... PS: watch out for the one way streets..... Grand Island is full of them. :-) Just a side note. Carl”

“We have ate here multiple times. The food is so fresh with wonderful flavors. The service is excellent. The staff is so friendly, curious and gives wonderful recommendations. They have a wonderful restaurant, we will be returning frequently. We had the vermicelli noodle bowl, crispy noodles and we may have devoured the spring rolls before I got a picture.”

“stopped in tonight like we usually do for wings every Wednesday I didnt even catch the girls name who went over to our table because my 4 year old is a picky eater and we had got McDonald's for her so she can eat there, because when we've got her food from Balz she will not eat anything, she rudely told us we couldn't have outside food and of course I wasnt going to have my 4 year old daughters food thrown away or not have her eat while the 3 of us ate. We surely will not be back and make sure to tell our friends who started going to Balz because of us to go back.”

The dining room itself was cold also. I would suggest different colors, something warm, cozy, interesting and inviting. The surfaces that we sit on should be soft and comfortable and easily accessible and easily to get up from. It was hard for me to get up from the corner booth where we sat.”

We had family in from out of town and had a large party- called ahead to give them a heads up and were rudely informed “we don’t take reservations” - we were not trying to make a reservation, we trying to give them a heads up - whatever. When we checked out the lady at the register hardly spoke to us and when we ask for a muffin to take home she proceeded to sack up a muffin for us - without any conversation whatsoever - then she decided to fill the cinnamon rolls before bringing out muffin to us and ringing up or ticket. Still not a word she gives my 86 year old Mom her change and say “have a good day”. My take on this Perkins -Great wait staff and food - crabby , inpatient, unhappy front of the house.”

“This is a review of the small restaurant inside the airport at Grand Island NE. The airport is small with not a great number of flights. So they open to cater mainly to departing passengers. Arriving passengers may not be able to have a meal after arrival. Just be aware. The staff and service were great. Some of the best airport food I have eaten from a sandwich type place. The price was more like a normal restaurant than airport overpriced food.”

What I love most is the passion and love they put into their craft, they really go above and beyond to make sure your order is done right. Absolutely satisfied with every dollar spent here! The aguas frescas are delicious, and the ice cream is just YUUUUMM. You can actually taste the real flavors, not just plain white ice cream with syrups added. So happy we have a place like this in Grand Island!”

“Jimmy John’s is the best sub sandwich in Grand Island and the Hinterlands. The single type of bread has fallen. Toasted sandwiches are in now. However, KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid) rules in food though which accounts for the existence of #10 on the menu. Just a SIMPLE (!!!!) roast beef sub! Alert! It doubles the meat w/o complicating things. 🧐 I sure hope JJs is not abandoning their “simplicity style “.”

“As with all of the buffets in Grand Island, you expect mediocre food, and as long at it's hot, that's good enough. Typically, this place keeps the food hot. The egg drop soup is excellent.

That said... You don't expect the big screen TV right in front of your face to be showing hunters killing, disemboweling, skinning, and cooking various animals, such as orangutans. Not just an overview either, the close ups of the face of the deceased animal, organs being pulled out, a zooming in of the inside of the spread out rib cage... Seriously, no one wants to watch that while they eat. I'd have loved to have just looked away, but when it's right there, the movement catches the eye. Maybe choose more neutral things to show in the dining area?”
