“I love Reis' Bakery! I am a foodie and I have not had anything I did not like. Everything is made fresh daily. They use the best ingredients too. My favorites include, the pretzel bread (I forget the name, but I love it), bacon cheddar loaf, the croissant sandwich, cherry cheese baskets and cruffins! The family is so super nice. I hope they stay around for a long time!”

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Le Voltaire last night. It was our first time at the restaurant. We WILL be going back! The food was insanely delicious. When we took the first bites of our dishes (appetizers and entrees), my husband and I both closed our eyes and chewed in silence. Ha! Sadly, we couldn't stay for dessert as we didn't have enough time before our next scheduled event. The whole staff was genuinely welcoming. But our server, Lisa, was the absolute best! She was friendly and downright adorable. I'm sure all the other servers are great, but I would ask for Lisa when we go back. She helped make our experience that much more enjoyable.”

The octopus was very rubbery and with out the sauce we would not have been able to eat it. The pork belles buns were also disappointing, the pork belles were way too thick and was under cooked to my liking and lacked flavor. The banzai, and sushi we had was great. We will go back but will stick with sushi.”

When I picked the donuts up the night before my son’s birthday (at a different Hurts donut location) they were not what I expected. She went above and beyond and not only replaced the donuts but had them brought directly to us (and we aren’t located close to the store). When I opened the new box of donuts I cried because I was so overwhelmed with her and her staff doing everything they could to make the situation right and to ensure my kiddo woke up to some amazing personalized donuts.”

So when I woke up I wasn’t sure what I was going to do, or where I was going to go, and I went next door to Burger King on a whim (at 2:30am on December 19th). I had the best interaction with the young man working the window. His attitude was outstanding, and should be the standard by which all your other employees work your windows. Seriously, that part is lacking in most of my other Burger King experiences during the day, and it was notable enough to type out a review for him at 3am before I go back to sleep! My best advice to you is to promote that man, and pay him well.”

“I went there to order a pizza. Shea took my order, and when I asked about stuffed crust it was obvious that they did not offer this type of crust. That didn't stop Shea, she thought she could do it, never done one before but was willing to give it a shot. It is people like this that create return customers. The pizza was great, little too much sauce - says a guy who usually orders his pizza's sauceless. But, the willingness of Shae to even attempt it was the true value.”

First off, the service: Absolutely top-tier. The staff wasn’t just friendly; they were genuinely happy we were there. You can feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in. Now, the food—oh man, the food. I went with the OG Chicken Sandwich, and it was a beast. Massive, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor. The fries? Golden, crispy perfection. And don’t even get me started on the chicken tenders—juicy, flavorful, and hands-down some of the best I’ve had. This place is a 10/10, no notes, must-try situation. “My wife and I were in town for the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit at the Mid-America Center. Afterward, we looked up restaurants near us and chose La Sierra because several reviews mentioned authentic cuisine. We were not misled. The menu is small and straight forward. Pick your fillings and choose it in either a gordita, burrito, quesadilla or on a plate. We both got selections as gorditas. My wife ordered: Asado De Puerco, Picadillo Verde and Picadillo Rojo. I ordered: Papas Con Carne, Papas Con Chorizo and Deshabrada. I also wound up getting a burrito with Machaca. All the meats were seasoned nicely and delicious. Both the verde and rojo salsas they brought out enhanced the food. The rojo does have a kick (same sauce as in the Desshbrada) but the heat didn't linger so eating it was enjoyable. The margarita I ordered was delicious, made with real lime juice. Some people might complain because it is regular sized, served in a glass roughly the size of a martini glass. It isn't a gigantic gimmick you find in a lot of American-Mexican restaurants. It hit the spot! The fruit empanadas were lovely, the crust similar to a sugar cookie with strawberry or apricot. We tried both and thought the apricot won by a hair. Its sweet flavor was slightly stronger than the strawberry. The service was excellent, both our server and the gentleman from the kitchen (maybe owner) who brought out food to the table were extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with. We've marked La Sierra in our "must do again" list and when we care back in Omaha, we will be stopping in.”

“Delicious food. They have a simple menu and they do all of it very well. I think I’ve tried about half their menu at this point and it’s all delicious. I’m a Tonkatsu purist and theirs is the best in town. I like that they give you garlic and ginger on the side (I love garlic but I’m not wild about ginger in most of the broth options). Their marinated eggs are the absolute best in town - I think they must do it longer and/or stronger because it has a much stronger flavor that stands up well to the ramen. I also really enjoy their sides - especially their gyoza.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the remarkable freshness of the fish and the unique experience of watching the chefs skillfully craft each piece of sushi. Without question, it is the finest and most exquisite sushi offering one can find in Omaha. However, while the quality of the food was outstanding, I am unsure if this was the best omakase experience I’ve ever had.

Omakase is meant to be a holistic experience, not just about the sushi itself but the ambiance and the overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in this regard. The setting, though intimate, was disrupted by two couples whose loud, rowdy conversations overtook the compact space. Despite asking the server if anything could be done, the response was, “we will try,” which turned out no meaningful action was taken. This left the environment feeling like a chaotic bar and far from the serene, harmonious experiences I’ve had in Japan, where sushi can be savored in a tranquil setting.

Additionally, a 22% gratuity was added automatically, which didn’t sit well with us given the overall experience.

In conclusion, while the fish was undeniably fresh and the sushi among the best you can find in Omaha—perhaps the only truly authentic omakase experience in Nebraska—the lack of a more curated and serene atmosphere made it difficult for me to be fully satisfied.”

Every single part about this place was thoughtful. The staff, the decor, most importantly, the food. It was an experience for us for sure. She took our drink order and was back with them in just a few minutes. She even brought us a little dish of lemon wedges since some of us wanted lemon in our iced tea or water. She then took our order. Five gals had various salads and I had fish and chips. Although the gals ordered half salads, they were huge. I had four large pieces of cod and a huge pile of French fries which I shared with all the others. There were three small bowls. . One with ketchup, one with tartar sauce and one with remoulade sauce. The food was very good and we had excellent service with Allison”

“We had La Cabanita food truck for our daughter and her friends college graduation from Creighton! We had a “street party” on her street with almost 200 people being served. Jesus’ and his family and co-workers were AMAZING! Treated the guest’s fantastically and served the food which was delish and fresh quickly, arrived early, and stayed until everyone had eaten. It was such a fun celebratory day and Jesus’ made it even more special by bringing great food and a great party atmosphere! Can’t say enough great things about this experience. Pricing was fair. Options were plenty. Communication was great. We even had to coordinate with a neighbor to save a spot on the street for the truck so he had to work with them as well to coordinate that move while we were all at graduation and the whole thing went off without a hitch! Whether it’s 20 people or 200 people…. la Cabanita is an amazing option and I would hire them again in a second!!”

“Awesome Experience! At first I wasn’t impressed. My server seemed to be really off, she fumbled her words, had a hard time answering my questions, (maybe she was nervous) etc. I ordered a martini but she brought me something terrible in a rocks glass! We ordered, the salad bar was amazing!!! Fresh and had several choices. Our meal was another story, our waitress got our order wrong. I wanted chicken parmigiana and I got a sandwich?! She did get it corrected but I had to wait longer. At the end of our meal the manager trish came over to offer apologies. She also brought me the martini I originally asked for that she said she made herself. Awesome!! It was delicious!! She was friendly, chatted with us for a moment and deliver our bill. She didn’t even charge me for the drink! We noticed her guiding our server who was then having issues at another table. I would say we won’t be back but Trish really helped turned our opinion around! She’s definitely a manager who cares! We will give it another try and hopefully just get a more proficient server!”

“I did takeout tonight. They were extremely busy, proms are tonight. I was quoted a time and I checked on my order 35-40 minutes after my promised time, order would be be ready within 5-10 minutes. No biggie, had a great time talking with customers waiting for tables so time was going by fast. The manager in the take out area was AMAZING and so sweet and kind, as were the rest of the staff in that area. I didn’t catch her name, but you ROCK! And thank you for my meal.”
