“Margaritas were tasty but not very strong, pretty small for the price compared to other places. We had an enchilada(not pictured), chimichanga, and a quesadilla. All were good. Not anything special. I also had a shrimp taco that really had no flavor. We wanted to try the grilled pineapple but were weren’t that hungry. We might come back again to try that. But I’ve definitely had better Mexican food at other places in Omaha and Lincoln area.“
“Amazing place,my family and I showed up right as Maria’s opened, there was a line outside already. So first I want to say that I’m a little upset that this restaurant is in a place I typically wouldn’t drive by had I not been recommended by Samantha, feel like I’ve been missing out for years:)The food and staff were absolutely amazing. I ordered a plate (#2)that was actually 2 plates that consisted of a taco, tamale, enchilada, tostada and rice /beans ,for $17 if I remember correctly. The amount of food….i can typically put a lot down and I needed a “to go “box for the tamale(was great the next day).My wife ordered the 2 enchiladas plate, the kiddos both ordered chicken quesadillas .I think we all know how the majority of restaurants seem to throw a little more lettuce or rice with a meal to make up for the lack of meat,I completely understand with the cost of things, but not here,it was loaded with meat, the price and quality were honestly like old school meals and prices for lack of better words! The environment was great, they asked if we wanted to sit on the”heated patio”,my wife is cold in most restaurants so I thought “oh man,is it really heated? “… they have radiant heat across the entire patio and I am pretty sure it was warmer than the inside! I could go on and on but as a person that typically hates reviews due to the fact I think some people just don’t get out to eat much,I felt like it was worth recommending that everyone that likes good food and good people try this place,i 100 percent guarantee you will not be disappointed! Thank you again to Maria and her staff! Wanted to add that I don’t typically use Google for the hours of a place,I think anyone over the age of 12 knows that they are not accurate,I think it’s worth going back when they are open to leave a review rather than pics of a dark restaurant ??♂️??♂️“
“Loved all the food. Our first waitress was either super busy or did not pay attention. Another young man seen us looking lost and helped us. He was amazing. I don't want to butcher his name but started with a J. Great place will be returning for another sushi boat.“
“Oh my days! Seriously get down to Copal. I moved here 2 years ago and haven't eaten Mexican food since because I was worried it wouldn't be the same. Let me tell you, I've missed out for two years! Food is exceptional! FRESH! TASTE! SERVICE! HOSPITALITY!The Chef sent out a free Taco made in their hometown style! If your craving the authentic taste of Mexican food, get yourself to Copal !“
“A very nice find. My buddy suggested it for lunch today. Not hard to find great parking across the street. The lady that works there was great at explaining a kinda difficult menu. Our lunch was very good. The food was hot when served. The beans and rice was very good. Place was very clean, when someone got it they are on top of cleaning it up. The bar looked really nice as well. Definitely will be back.Parking: Easy to find parking nice sized lot.“
“This place was cool. The food was good. The atmosphere was Melo, too. I ordered ceviche, and it was okay, but I have had better, but I guess everyone makes it different. Frozen margaritas were tasty, too. Surprisingly, this was my first time going, and I will definitely go again.“
“This place is an old neighborhood house turned Mexican restaurant.Space is tight - maybe six tables - which is fine. Many diners ordered their food for pickup or to go.My tacos were well portioned and filling, while the hot sauce provided a good kick.“
“I wish I could rate more than 5 stars. El Churro Spot is hands down THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD in Omaha.. probably the entire Midwest. I’m born and raised from California before moving here (and have been to the heart of MX) so trust me when I say I Know Great Mexican food when I have it. I now travel all the way from Blair NE just to eat here on free days. The owner is wonderful and handsome and sacrifices paying for higher quality ingredients to make sure he doesn’t cut corners and you can TASTE that freshness every. time. Eat here! You will Never be disappointed! The restaurant is cute inside and the younger guy who works there is super cool and looks like Mario Lopez hahaha. They also have a taco truck off of Dodge St.!! ❤️❤️❤️ you guys!“
“The vibe of Isla del Mar is fantastic. It feels like a south of the border fiesta every time. The menu provides lots of choices, and the service is attentive. We had drinks with dinner in the past, which added to the fun, but today was lunch, so no drinks. All in all a good visit, and at first, the mariachi band added to the vibe in a good way. It got to be a little much as they seemed to be REALLY loud and right on top of our table for our whole visit, making it hard to converse and hard to enjoy the music too.“
“AMAZING!!!! We got the biscuit & gravy scramble, Chocolate chip pancake and the southwest burrito. We’re from out of town and looked up a breakfast place near us and I am so picky with breakfast restaurants. Best breakfast place I’ve ever been to!! So yummy.. you must try!“
“The name might make a serious foodie nervous. It feels too cheesy; too cutsie. Play on word restaurant names are a tall task and usually don't work out. Exhibit A is the all too common bad coffee shop named "common grounds" and exhibit B would be the subpar breakfast joint with the word "egg" thrown in there somewhere. However, Hook and Lime is the exception to this rule. I met a friend here for lunch and there was on wait, which seemed like a bad sign. I was pleasantly surprised with great service and even greater food. The waitress recommended the tacos, so we asked if we could one of each. Each taco was delicious and spiced perfectly. It is important to note that the food, while good, is more of a tex-mex rather than authentic mexican. Still delicious. Didn't have a margarita, but the waitress recommended them. Next time!“
“This is a solid authentic Mexican restaurant that is conveniently located just off the i80 highway close to the Iowa border. It has very good home cooked food including a lot of non fast food Mexican dishes like Tilapia for very reasonable prices. I’d totally eat here over any other fast food places around. Highly recommend if you’re passing through and need a good and convenient eating option.“
“My dad's been coming to this taco truck since forever. He took me and my boyfriend to get some tacos a few weeks ago, and I still think about them. I love authenticity over Tex-Mex or Americanized versions. Best tacos I've had yet.Wheelchair accessibility: its a taco truck, super accessible“
“Good chicken burrito, portions about right for the cost, filling ratios pretty much on point.Birria tacos are OK, kinda lacking flavor even when dipped.Chips were great, salsa was OK.My main complaint is there was a chicken bone in my burrito. It was slightly fractured, but at least it was only 3 or 4 bites that were thrown away due to the bone pieces.Overall a good place with good chicken and great chips.“
“Exactly the taco spot I've been searching for! I got three tacos, a drink and chips for under $20. Yes yes yes! I knew the tacos would be good when I saw the double tortilla! The meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I got them to go and they were still in tact upon arrival at home... a huge feat for togo tacos. The salsas are delicious and chips were fresh. They included limes and radishes in the order which I appreciated. Such a cute, clean atmosphere, too. Was pretty busy but we didn't wait long at all. All the staff we interacted with were so very sweet and friendly. Pretty sure they will know me by name soon, they've earned a new regular.“
“If you're in the mood for some authentic Mexican food this is the place to be. The food is always prepared well, and served quickly. I personally have lunch here a couple times a week, and the carne asada tacos are always seasoned well and accompanied by fresh veggies. The staff is always attentive and accommodating.“
“These party people are always busy!!!!! It was a random Wednesday and we're sitting out there for 45 min waiting for a table. They also have 0 room to wait so you're definitely going to be waiting outside or go somewhere else to wait. Get your name on the list asap! As far as the area, you're likely going to run into college kids that look like they just rolled out of bed. No shame in their game but it's just an FYI. It gets kind of loud in there but the patio is to die for when the weather is right! As for the food - I've been 4+ times and loved everything. A margarita flight, a dip flight, it's perfect. I often wake up thinking about the dip flight the next morning. The kiddo likes the taquitos and we like the tacos. The pork was dry for me but the birria has been so tasty. This would definitely be a place I recommend to friends or take someone from out of town. Worth going!“
“I cannot believe I have never reviewed this place before. It's all about the cafeteria trays and tongsWalk in grab tray and pair of tongs The prices are never the same (cheap cheap cheap)You go down the line and self serve all the delicious homemade treatsThe Jalapeño and cream cheese rolls are the best things ever. The rolls are fresh and a hint of sweetness. They are stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños OMGI never know what I'm getting but it's always delicious. You take your tray up to pay and they bag or box it for you. Amazing!!!!“
“I would consider this a hole in the wall. This is also where I go to get my holiday tamales which are always very good, best in town. They have much more than just tamales. They have and enchiladas, Chile pork, different salsas, fresh fried tortilla chips, fresh tortillas, dough to make tortillas or tamales, etc etc. Menu and prices have changed . Menu board is not very accurate. Stop in and try it.Vegetarian options: Chili relleno, rice, beans, egg and bean burrito.“
“I gotta say the food is delicious!!!! Good quality and quantity. The prices are a bit high but it's worth it. I tried the Asada tacos and they're the best taco truck I've ever tried in omaha. This place wins every food truck from south Omaha ones. Kuddos to u guys! 5 stars . I highly recommend!“
“I award La Isla FIVE (5) stars. The food is pricey, but it is worth it. I am under the impression this Mexican restaurant specializes in seafood. I ate the langostino (little lobster) platter and churros with ice cream. The service was excellent and attentive. I am not aware of any issues to report.“
“I eat here once per week. I think they have some of the best tacos in Omaha but their fresh homemade chips and salsa which come free with every meal are the highlight for me. I am trying to convince them to add a hot queso option to attract more gringo customers like me!“
“Jonesys has the absolute greatest tacos ever. I drive clear cross Omaha to this location just to get some amazing service and food every single time. Thank you so much to the team, the entire team, for all that they do. Amazing place. Highly recommend them.“
“Been here a couple of times already. It's absolutely delicious and staff is always nice and friendly. I love the variety of food choices. There's something on the menu for everyone! This time I had the chicken fajitas with chicken and rice. They were amazing ! Very flavorful and sizzling hot! Husband had the hot beef sandwich. He liked it but said the mashed potatoes could've been better. Daughter 1 had a quesabirria and actually liked it for being such a picky eater. Daughter 2 had a cheeseburger which was fresh and yummy. Daughter 3 had chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were pretty big and yummy. Will definitely keep returning.“
“Food: delicious and authentic recipes. They offer a great variety of dishes and also offer fresh squeezed juice.Service: great serviceAtmosphere: great atmosphere, it is a quiet and calm placeVegetarian options: The Mexican cuisine offers great options for people with a vegetarian lifestyle. This restaurant offers stuffed pepper tacos, you could order Mole with rice (ask for no chicken). Etc.“
“My son and I love coming to Romeo's for a quick bite to eat after his swimming lessons. They're friendly, you get your food as ordered, food is hot, comes out fairly quick, and the chips and cheese are a huge hit with my 8-year-old!! So much so we come just for that at times. The prices are reasonable, and you get decent sized portions for what you pay. We're definitely regulars here!!Kid-friendliness: The kid's menu is perfect, offering multiple options for these picky kiddos! Anything from tacos to burger and fries, regardless, there's something for just about everyone, and the portion size is spot on for the kids!“
“Went here with a couple of girlfriends after work. The staff accommodated my gluten allergy wonderfully. I really appreciate that. Our waiter was great as well. The lime margarita was delicious as well as the steak fajitas. The fajita serving size was smaller than I was expecting, however.“
“My opinion: I liked the birria tacos, delicious ? and the birria pizza with potatoes, equally delicious. The service was excellent. They served us very quickly and our order was ready before the time they gave us. Waiting, without a doubt we will return to the Estilo Jalisco restaurant.“
“Easy going place to enjoy with friends. More Tex Mex but really great flavors. Chilis grown on site. Friendly service. Work hard to please. Don’t forget the margaritas, ole’!Drive thru decreases the parking but we made it work. A favorite.“
“Here on Business at AFB, from Texas (El Valle). Place is VERY clean, good service and comfortable atmopshere. Chips of crunchy and salas was good (not spicey at all, mostly tomoato/dash of spice). Water is very filter and great!!! I had a Mango Margarita in rocks, flavor was ok, the tequila is different (compair to others i've tasted), BUT it will creep up on you for sure, lol. dont let the taste fool you. So many to choice from, they recommended the Carnita plate, very good perfect carnitas (i was impressed, coming from El Valle), rice was good, beans (50/50) i love beans but just wasnt for me, flour tortillas was what we call cooked over fire stove (perfect, not many places do that). If Inwas asked "will you visit again?" I would certianly will but with a co-worker to try El Cojete next time.“
“Really great, went in today for the first time and was helped by a very nice person who explained their setup to me. I tried the funnel cake, lemon, cinnamon sugar, chocolate peanut butter, and original glazed. All were amazing! Very soft donuts and very quick service, can’t wait to try their drinks soon :)“
“I work right next to a place they park at all the time and have been since I started early this year. I've been there probably 4-5 times over 10 months and I get the burger every time. It's so delicious probably the best burger I've had in Nebraska, it always taste the same too I've never had a "bad" cheeseburger from them. For 11 bucks it comes with fries, ranch and ketchup and the fries are perfect crisp every time(burger is huge too). Longest it's ever taken was 15 minutes and to be fair they were pretty busy. I haven't had their other food but I highly highly recommend the Santiago Burger!!“
“The service was very positive and quick. Thank you sir. Having come from Southern California, there's certain things that I expect in Mexican food. Your food is good. There was something that I was missing and it's probably just my taste buds. the place was packed. I will go back and give it a second shot.“
“This was our first trip to this restaurant. We always make a solid attempt to not be extremely critical the first couple visits anywhere, but I think the following needs to be addressed. The food was delicious and came as we ordered (surprisingly). I say that because the waiter was grossly scatter brained. Partially because he was running another station, but he didn't pay solid attention to us as we ordered. He kept asking the same questions and was mixing up our orders.I requested a lime margarita on the rocks with no salt. He asked what size, I said regular. Then, the next thing out of his mouth was the same question. Then he asked if I wanted beans. Yes, we made that clear in previous repetitive discussions. Then he asked if I wanted a large margarita. I said no. He brought out a large with salt.As I said, the food was great and reasonably priced, but we felt like we were an inconvenience to the waiter as opposed to customers. We will return some time soon, and we hope that we don't have a similar experience.“
“After being a customer for many years, it's a nice transition to the FTLoF Cafe. They have a nice and inviting atmosphere. If you're a long time customer, they will remember your name. They have six, 4 person tables to sit at now. Enjoy your stay at the cafeParking: It's in a plaza, a plaza that's old. There will be lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“The pupusas here are next level ? We got pastelitos, too *chefs kiss*It's chill inside, spacious booths and nice tables. Parking is off street. It's in a weird spot off 24th & Leavenworth but I've never had a problem finding a place to park“
“I love that this place offers authentic and uncommon meat varieties for their entrées. I love the huitlacoche, pork w.nopales, chicharron. It all has such a good flavor and tastes homemade. The owner is very welcoming, attentive and offers outstanding customer service. He goes above a d beyond for his customers!! He offers an experience I have never encountered at a restaurant before. Definitely recommend and support this local restaurant!!“

“Really great place to eat, the food is really good, there was quite awhile for a wait but as soon as we got a table they waited on us very quickly. If it's 4 or less on a group, the wait won't be as long, but we had 6. Definitely will go again!“
“Fantastic!! El Rancho was served at my daughters wedding reception and it was delicious! We had chicken, steak and pork with flour and corn tortillas. Bean and rice were included as well as i think 6 kinds of salsa, sour cream, cheese and lettuce. So so much food for the price! I people asking me all night long who the food was! They do not deliver but I would do it again in a heart beat it was so good! Thank you El Rancho and Ivette for the wonderful food! ???“
“This has continued to be a pizzeria in Oak View mall over the years, just different names. Now it's called Pizzeria El Portal. The slices are a thin crust, oven fire style cooked pizza. I'd say similar to. NY thin crust, large slices. Flavor was very good and filling, with the price being reasonable as well. I'd choose this over the other few options left at this mall for a simple lunch that'll fill you up. They also offer Stromboli's and salads in addition to their variety of pizza slices. Various bottled drinks are offered here in addition to coke products.“
“Lina's Mexican Restaurant is always a great real Mexican meal. They are quick for a lunch break with large portions.Do yourself a favor and drive right by the "mexican inspired" chains and go to Lina's. Get the glass bottle of Coke and enjoy the free chips and salsa appetizer while you wait for your lunch.“
“This place is awesome! I've been here many times since the mid 90s and it's always great! Clean facilities, friendly staff, amazing food. I always get the chili! Sometimes it's spicy and sometimes not so much but it's always delicious!Today I got the big bowl of chili and the toad taco. Both are excellent!“
“Excellent food, vegetarian menu, good prices! Lots of choices with wide assortment of vegetables and fruits - like avocado, mangoes, colorful bell peppers, etc. Further, the reasonable prices and comfortable dining area is ready for everyone ~ no stuffy attire requirements. The service ~ superb, friendly, and our waiter went out of his to make sure all of our dining needs were met ~ ice tea refreshed frequently, extra napkins, remarkable eye for detail. While the decor offers rustic charm, the entire restaurant is maintained to the highest standards. If 10 were the best rating for delicious food at reasonable prices, they earned a 10+. Can't wait to go back for an incredible experience!“
“Ordered the B.E.A.T brunch sandwich with Turkey. I was humming and dancing with every chew being cheered on by I Can't Hold Back by Survivor blaring on the sound system. Most captivated brunch I've had in sometime. Service was great. Blueberry Mule is delicious as well.“
“OMG YALL! I have not had tamales this good since I moved here from Colorado!! I ordered the chicken green chili and I could cry these are so good, and spicy! And the churro cheesecake is incredible. The ladies that helped me were warm and welcoming also. I wish you all the best in business and thank you for sharing your food with us!“
“Love this place! The service is excellent, the drinks are fantastic, and they have the best Mexican food in Omaha! I highly recommend the enchiladas, and don't miss the queso blanco or the guacamole as an appetizer! For drink recommendations, ask your server or bartender - they are the best! They also have a terrific mariachi group that plays weekly - don't miss it!“
“Food is definitely above mediocre, but I won't say excellent. Its really good though, and definitely nothing below really good food. They run daily specials on food and drinks. The staff is absolutely amazing, and that makes the experience all the difference. This is the Millard location! If considering this place, take a chance and check them out. They don't disappoint!“
“The Honduran food they prepare is very good, it has a similarity to the original flavor of Honduran food. Very good place. I really like their food. I especially recommend it because what I like is to eat Catracho-style breakfast, very delicious ?? with their coffee and As for the very good service, especially a very cheerful waitress, I think her name is Lulú. It is very good service. I really hope they continue to improve every day and add more Honduran gastronomy and help publicize the delicious dishes and Honduran gastronomy that it has. Lots of excellent variety.“
“It's a wonderful store with a lot of Latin American options. Even though the store is small, it has a lot more options than some of the other larger "Latin stores" that only have Mexican products for the most part. This store has a wonderful variety of options from all sorts of different Latin American countries.“
