“Went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was phenomenal. We've been there many times and while we've had many good meals, this past week was a cut above. All meals were beautifully presented, cooked perfectly and delicious. AP many interesting and unique flavors. We went deep on the appetizers. The fried artichokes, and the wagyu meatballs were both a wonderful start, but it was the Tater tots took 1st prize on the apps. Dinner entries were great. Steak, salmon and fish special were all fabulous. And the pear cobbler was a perfect finish. We will be back sooner rather than later.“
“I personally did not eat here but my wife and daughter, who has a severe dairy allergy ate here last night. My wife was overwhelmed with how accommodating they were and the level of seriousness that they took her allergy. I can't begin to tell you how amazing it is for us to go out to eat "like normal families do" and for it to not be a STRICTLY vegan restaurant. My wife told me she was close to tears. I just wanted to thank the staff at this great restaurant for giving them this experience. My wife and daughter are in town for a tour of UNH and I am very happy to know she will have a safe place to hang with friends and get a bite to eat without worry. “Great restaurant! First thing I noticed is the happiness of the employees o thing but smiles. Everyone working helped each other and they seemed to be a team who enjoys working with each other because of that our service was impeccable. From drinks to the food everything was delicious. We started with fried calamari cooked perfectly, we had warm rolls served with soft butter ,roasted garlic and olives. We ordered the salmon and monk fish both cooked with so much flavor and the presentation was beautiful. Then for dessert we ordered the banana cake new on the menu I’m not a sweet eater but this was perfect not too sweet…..definitely everyone should visit this restaurant.“
“We had a fantastic dinner. An extra bonus was watching the chefs cook, they were like an orchestra so coordinated. The sitting had 26 diners. The menu changes every week. We had bean soup, a choice of smoked salmon salad w potato or polenta with pork ragu, chicken with spinach or cod with carrots, beef with potato and red cabbage or pork and lentils, toffee pudding or funnel cake ( fried dough). Everything was delicious, there was not a single dish that we did not love. Service was attentive and friendly. We will be back!“

So sorry to hear that a developer who owns the strip this fun beach bar is located on will be tearing everything down to put up brand new condos. Where are the people who buy those condos going to go for fun? Please save The Dolphin! “My boyfriend took me here for our anniversary dinner. I'm a line cook, and have worked as a chef. I have nothing but glowing reviews, and this is the kind of restaurant I aspire to open one day.This is a small, intimate restaurant with an extremely thoughtful and dedicated staff. They have parking available, which is an unusual luxury for Portsmouth. The food is inventive and excellent- modern French cuisine is very apt. Portion sizes are thoughtful to enable you to finish each dish while still craving the next. The gin cocktails are delicious, beautiful, and pair wonderfully with the menu. The FOH was also incredibly considerate towards my boyfriend, who is vegan. Overall, excellent ambience, drinks, food, and service. Botanica is a special experience. “We found this quite by accident as we had no specific place in mind for dinner. Very happy we took a chance as everyone in our party of 5 loved our dishes. Very small venue so reservations probably necessary. Bar seating is available. The chairs were not very comfy but I think that is by design.“
“The food was good and the service was great. Not a place to go if you want to have a conversation over dinner. Between the noise from the people at the bar and the excessive volume of the music it was like trying to talk to someone at a club. Our reservation was at 6 so it wasn't that we were there at a later time where you might expect the noise levels to be that high. They need to figure out if they are a bar or a restaurant because trying to do both makes for a poor dining experience. Probably wouldn't go back.“
“This local seafood establishment offers friendly, attentive service in an easy-going atmosphere. One of us tried the clam sandwich which, while tasty, would have benefitted by a piquant sauce or salsa--just a personal suggestion. Another really enjoyed a bowl of seafood chowder what was rich with a variety of marine creatures and a creamy base. I enjoyed the fish tacos with a pineapple salsa. The fish was perfect in taste, flavor and texture while the salsa was divine. I wish we lived closer because I'd come back for the fish tacos again and again.“
“Came to hear the Honey Bees and had a great time. We had chicken tender that were very good. Isaac, our waiter, was wonderfullyvattentive and kept the drinks flowing. We stayed for 4 hours and Isaac made our visit very enjoyable. A very friendly, enthusiastic guy!“
