Chef Michael's Personal Chef Service Caterers • $$
323 Pine Hill Rd, Berwick - 5.33 miles

“Chef Michael checked all of the boxes and then some. This was our first time utilizing an in home chef for our family vacation and we were blown away on several levels. First and foremost the food was beyond description. We have some picky eaters in our family, but you wouldn’t have known that on the nights he prepared our meals. He was prompt, cleaned everything better than before he arrived and most importantly was a great person to talk to with some good stories. We wouldn’t look elsewhere when we are back in Maine for our next family vacation.“

The White Apron Caterers •

“HIRE THEMMy husband and I worked with WA for almost a solid year planning our February 2024 wedding. So we have a very good understanding of this business, how it operates and its staff. 5 stars for sure. Jay, Liz, Victoria, Alice – all wonderful people with integrity who pay attention to detail. We would highly recommend this caterer, and their restaurant in Exeter called MILA.Before contract signed:Chef Jay rolled out the red carpet for us in the tasting. He invited us into their industrial kitchen in Dover, just Greg and I, and cooked (what felt like) their entire menu in front of us. Everything from shrimp to a rack of lamb to beef tenderloin to appetizers. Prosecco, red wine, desserts. We’re big food people – this tasting alone was one of the most unique experiences we’ve ever had. And it didn't feel like a sales pitch.Pre-planning:Victoria and/or Liz immediately responded to any questions. Everything was organized. We encountered a few challenges (like us having to change venues unrelated to catering – the WA was our outside caterer) and they did everything possible to accommodate. There were no surprises or gotchas in their pricing: the company was transparent and reasonable. Both my husband and I felt like were dealing with honest brokers.Wedding Day:Everything went according to plan. The food was excellent (we asked Jay to prepare beef cheeks for the meat, and they accommodated). It was probably the first wedding we’ve been a part of where the guests left full. Chef Jay walked out of the kitchen and talked to Greg for a few minutes, congratulated us. They didn’t just serve food, they really added something to the day. This is a very special business that we hope to use for other “life” events. The owners care about their customers and it really sets the entire culture of the company. You’ll get everything you pay for and more by supporting the White Apron. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer.“
