“I found this place because I was searching for a chefs tasting table. They ended up being booked out for a year so I figured just regular reservations would suffice.I booked the bar and was so glad I did. We got there and there was an anniversary card hand-signed with little congratulatory messages from the entire staff. So sweet. We did a bunch of small plates. I don’t know if I remember everything but it was all fantastic. They also brought out other dishes compliments of the chef. The chef came out twice and just chatted with us. My husband asked him about sunchoke because he’d never heard of it, and he literally went back to the kitchen and came back to show us what it was. The sous chef came out too. The owner and the bartender tag-teamed serving us and everyone was just so friendly, informative, and just so pleasant to be around. Everything was plated like a work of art. We literally stared at each plate in awe because of how pretty it all looked. Every dish was fully explained when they presented it.We started with charcuterie and it was amazing. Three meats I haven’t had before, all house made. House made pickles, jam, and crackers. A mustard that was out of this world. For our small plates we had:- crispy octopus with a squid ink tuile and some sort of amazing potato fondue. It was the best octopus I’ve ever had. We ordered it twice.- steak tartare with quail egg and potato croquettes. So tender and such an amazing mix of flavors.- duck fat beignets. We got these twice. The first was a sugar coated beignet with Serrano (I believe) ham, goat cheese and a jam. The second was foie gras with goat cheese and grapes. The sweet and savory and salty all together was a complete shock to my system. I’d eat them daily if I could.- hay smoked carrots with cecina, black garlic and port poached pears. This was compliments of the chef and was just such an amazing surprise.- salmon crudo with grapefruit, bergamot and freshly grated horseradish. Such an interesting mix of flavors. The salmon was served raw so the grapefruit was a great tenderizer. It was so buttery and fresh.- fois gras served with sunchoke cake. Yes, cake. The cake was sweet and moist and felt dense but was really light. Absolutely amazing. I don’t know if that even makes sense but that’s how I can describe it. Best fois gras I’ve ever had.- ricotta tortellini- also compliments of the chef. The dough was so tender. The ricotta was so smooth and creamy. It was served with garlic scapes and almonds and mushrooms that were perfectly cooked.- we ended up getting a cheese plate at the end as well. All three cheeses were so different and perfect. Also served with the crackers, jam, and a different mustard. For dessert we ordered a layered chocolate stout cake with a black sesame tahini ice cream. It reminded me of the most elevated chocolate peanut butter dessert you can imagine. They also sent us three other ice creams: roasted almond, fois gras, and mushroom. Everything was so creamy, perfectly sweet, and flavorful. Just absolutely stunning.I’m drooling just reliving it in my mind. I cannot wait to go back. The owner informed us about the outdoor seating along the river during the summer and how on Wednesdays (I think) they do fresh oysters that are caught that morning and the person who catches them delivers and shucks them as ordered. This was the most wonderful anniversary dinner and truly one of the top 5 dining experiences I’ve ever had, no questions asked. Such a wonderfully unexpected food gem in Exeter! Our sincerest thanks to every single staff member that made our night something we will talk about for a very long time.“

“After a long trip traveling from Long Island Bahamas, we were cold and hungry. Stopped in and Lola was so welcoming, made me and my daughter Isabella (9 years old) feel right at home. Isabella who is usually quiet, chatted with Lola the entire time she prepared our food. We had a lamb gyro, chicken shawarma and chicken nuggets.. everything was great. Will definitely be back. Thanks Lola?“

“Finally placed a takeout order at Bob's having passed by it many times, and glad we tried it. Our order was ready on time as promised and was accurately put together. I tried a broiled quarter chicken with two sides (mac & cheese, sausage stuffing) and some corn bread. Everything seemed home made, hot and quite tasty. The stuffing really seemed home made, but the mac and cheese was a tad dry for my liking. The chicken was tender, moist and delicious. Like most food these days at any restaurant/supermarket, prices seemed a tad high. Portion sizes were generous however. I'll be back to try the chicken pot pie, which is one of my favorite comfort food dishes. Give Bob's a try! Sorry no photos as I dug in so quickly I forgot to snap first!“

“The Oak House is a fantastic Newmarket staple! It offers amazing food, wonderful service, and a great community atmosphere. It brings you back week after week!Vegetarian options: This is the most vegetarian/vegan/allergy friendly place I have ever been. They are amazing at accommodating allergies and vegetarian needs. Their menu has a wide selection but is largely just sandwiches/burgers.Kid-friendliness: They have a small kids menu and atmosphere is acceptable for kids. They can provide some crayons and pages to color if needed.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, this place has a wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible seating.“
“Great place with nice atmosphere. My experiences with the staff have all been pleasant and the food I found hasn't been bad. Especially enjoy visiting and feeding the goat brothers carrots. Just watch your fingers... Goats may not have upper teeth but they can still nip! ?“

The employees and great food are why I come 1x a month and will continue to do so!Food: I always get the same thing, Greek salad, extra feta and extra beef, love it! 5 of 5 ? all day!If I ever open a buisness, I would poach these 2 amazing workers in a heart beat!Dietary restrictions: I am a diabetic who eats low carb, perfect place for me!“

“Was told about this place from a buddy of mine that goes to UNH, the service here was fast, friendly, and the food was surprisingly cheap. The quality and taste of the food was exceptional, especially considering you can get a specialty burger, specialty fries and a drink for just $15. Quite possibly the tastiest burger you can get in the entire Seacoast, I will definitely be coming back!Parking: Parking is done from the road, but considering its near UNH campus and fraternity/sorority houses, spots can be difficult to find“

“Overall roundabout is a classic staple of Portsmouth. Its vibe is awesome and they always do a great job with food. It's always great to eat here and the prices are fairly reasonable. There are a few breakfast places that I would always send my friends to. This is one of those places.“

“We had a fantastic dinner. An extra bonus was watching the chefs cook, they were like an orchestra so coordinated. The sitting had 26 diners. The menu changes every week. We had bean soup, a choice of smoked salmon salad w potato or polenta with pork ragu, chicken with spinach or cod with carrots, beef with potato and red cabbage or pork and lentils, toffee pudding or funnel cake ( fried dough). Everything was delicious, there was not a single dish that we did not love. Service was attentive and friendly. We will be back!“

“One of the absolute best breakfasts spots around. Food is consistently amazing. Great service. Often on a wait, but WELL worth it. Add yourself to the list & pop over to Good Juju or walk down to the boat launch and say hi to the town ducks while you're waiting. My personal favorites are the Down East French Toast - stuffed with maple walnut cream cheese and topped with my choice of fruit usually raspberries & the Dwight (insanely good) & lately the Green Chili Burrito - blueberry pancakes the perfect add on & the muffins!- grilled with butter of course. Homemade cinnamon swirl toast! Smoothies! Don't worry - you really cannot go wrong with any choice here.“

“I had the metapils and one of their NE IPAs, both excellent. The service here was incrediblely friendly and attentive.I'm not sure why I didn't have high hopes for the fish tacos. Gladly, I was wrong. They're the perfect portion for when I'm having beers and trying not to get too full. They're also big on flavor.Overall very nice.“
“Next to the water park on Lafayette Street. It has a very good Cinemagic movie theater, McKinnon's meat market, and Petco shop. There is also a convenient and very good Starbucks.Food can be had at the 99 Restaurant, Ollie's and Me, Subway's Restaurant, and Dough Craft Pizza. Cross the street for Taco Bell and Burger King. Across the street from Starbucks is Cantina Vida. The parking lot is currently under repair and building of a new structure.“

“This is a cute little soup and salad place - very bright and clean. Soups are excellent - we actually ended up buying two buckets to go and enjoyed them for the next couple of days (Thai noodle and Pumpkin bisque). Salads were fresh and I think pre-made. The restaurant seems to mostly cater to take-out customers. Salads are given to you in take out boxes and you serve yourself the soup. I liked that they list all of the ingredients in the soups. Like another customer, i was nonplussed by the automatic tip at the checkout (you can opt out, but need to look for it). The food is priced appropriately and there is no real service, so I don't quite understand the need for a tip. Otherwise, friendly staff and a good place to grab a quick, healthy bite.“

“Haven't been here in a minute and decided to swing in after a track meet with my son. The cashier seemed new and was very softspoken. Initially she called (what I thought was) my name and I grabbed the bag from her. I really should've asked her to repeat the name, because we went to the table and opened the food and as we were taking the lids off, she walked over to tell us it was someone else's (sorry Rihanna!). I felt terrible that she was obviously still getting her footing as new employee and I threw her a big curve ball. Then, when our food eventually came out, mine was missing avocado. I brought it up to the counter and asked "have I just not gotten to it yet (their bowls have lots of layers and pockets with treasures) or did this not come with avocado?" and she replied that when I ordered, I substituted chicken. I gently corrected her that I asked to "add chicken" and again, I chalk this up to the learning curve of food service- we were all teenagers working our first jobs once. No big deal, grabbed the avocado off of Rihanna's bowl (thanks, Rihanna!) and then didn't feel so guilty about wasting that food we touched. Dinner was great, but the real reason for the 5-star review? After watching this kind of clunky exchange play out from afar, the manager came over and checked in, then came back when we were nearly finished to offer us a discount, which we declined because it was totally unnecessary. They had an unexpectedly busy night and though there were some hiccups the manager went out of his way to check in twice and make sure we were good. Not only that, he did a great job training and assisting the new employee, who, despite the challenges, was rolling with the punches and doing her best.“

“Best korean in New Hampshire! authentic korean. this is not korean bbq, though they do have kalbi. my favorite is soondubu soup, stone pot bibimbap, and japchae. I get it without egg and no meat. i enjoy dining in for the stone pot that crisps the rice, but also enjoy take out. everything is wrapped up good and safe. my family manages a severe nut allergy and eat here safely weekly.“
