“One of my favorite places around! You can eat here at all price points. My favs are Clear Soup for cold days, and then for dinner portions: tataki, poke bowls, and sushi rolls are all fantastic to mix and match. Poke bowls are the best bang for buck. GO HERE IF YOU LIVE CLOSE!”
“Googled close by ice cream because I was in area. This came up, what an awesome place. The girl Rachel was awesome with my kids. Atmosphere was great my kids were using the chalkboard. That is a great idea. Definitely will be back”

“We had little jalapeños for takeout so I can't speak to the atmosphere, but the food was pretty good! Definitely better than your standard Mexican restaurant, but the chicken was a little dry (we had the chicken chimichanga and a chicken wet burrito... Also guac and chips) in my opinion the guac and chips was overpriced for what you got, but the rest was fair. I'll probably get it again”

“South jersey wise, this is the best Chinese food establishment around. I love it especially their white rice are prepared differently than others. Everything about food are great.”

“Their pricing is becoming out of control. Every franchise you go to is busy. With the amount of business they do with basically high school and college students working at minimum wage, no need to gouge people. Also no televisions for viewing or not even any music playing.”

“The folks there were great. I went there w/my out of town cuz and ate in and watched a good show there where we enjoyed our supper, my cuz had the chicken parm and I had the chicken Ceasar salad plus some chicken wings which were all very tasty. We were having a good convo about the show that was showing at the time and genuinely nice folks behind the counter! Thanks for the nice experience! :)”

“With an ever-changing menu, I know that no matter what vegan dish I order from Primary it’s always going to be exciting and delicious. Many of the dishes have kept me up at night from the french toast to the cheesesteak and the jackfruit medianoche.Chef Mark has always been hospitable and attentive, and you can tell how much passion he has for his plates and his community. This restaurant is truly a gem in Philly and the team behind its magic deserve all the success. If you’re looking for a place to try, you cannot go wrong by visiting Primary.”

“I've been here a few times, it's a fun place to bring people because of the whole speakeasy vibe. They don't take reservations so it's hit or miss if you can actually get in. Drinks are hit or miss for me too. Over time I've done drinks from the menu and the bartenders choice. I know it sounds silly but I really dislike the ice they use! It's like ice chips which cheapens the drinks, which seems to go against the suave swanky vibe. I got the pickle mule this time though and really liked it.”

“The Love. Umm, yes please. The vibe. The food. The staff. All great.I went for a solo dinner while in town for a conference. I initially wanted to get the fried chicken with grits and collards but my Server mentioned the special for the night, the ribeye with macaroni & cheese and said he’d go with the ribeye. So I did! It was a double the price but I was out of town and why not treat myself to a steak! It did not disappoint, so so good. Unfortunately I had a bit of a headache so I didn’t have a cocktail but the iced tea was good. ? I live in Atlanta, so hopefully I’ll be back soon enough to try out a drink. I had a lovely meal and it was pretty busy Sunday night. I guess it’s a popular spot.”

“Having grown up with Texas breakfast tacos I was excited to see a spot in Philly to create what I was missing from home. Bfast taco was good, flavor was def there. A bit on the pricier end for a breakfast taco, even with a homemade tortilla. Was hoping all salsas were given out as well, tried the guaijlo , had good flavor. Not sure if I’ll be a reg just because they’re pricey. But I do appreciate what they are bringing to Philly.”

“Pretty good experience! There was a little bit of a mix up with what we ordered but they instantly took care of it and got us the rest of our food. Some of the food was hit or miss. The broll, Bloc party, Hijiki, and e I shumai was great but I didn't really like the chashu because it was a bit gummy and the wings were not my favorite. But other than that, it was all great. I will definitely come back soon to try more things :)”

“Delicious food and excellent flavor combinations. Much of the food is meat but I absolutely recommend for vegetarians. The cauliflower mezze was extremely well-flavored, the chickpea and eggplant mezze had fantastic texture, and the oyster mushroom kebab was one of my favorite dishes I’ve ever had.”

“Took a friend out for lunch for her birthday. We shared the shrimp and crab roll and I got the Pad Khing with tofu, and opted for the soup. My friend got the green curry with tofu. Everything was delicious! Next time I’ll ask for more spice. Great lunch price point as well.Vegetarian options: You can get tofu with any dish as the protein.”

“Very small intimate space with the open kitchen directly on the floor. Had an incredible experience here! The staff was super friendly and bantered with us all night. The stand out to me was the scallop toast, it practically melts in your mouth. Though everything we had was excellent flavor and presentation wise. I will absolutely be back!”

“The best sashimi and I have ever had. Stopped in here 3 years ago by chance -- looking for food before a concert at Gloria Dei Old Swedes Episcopal Church. I was able to get a few things, not a set menu. They did not put soy sauce or anything on the bar or tables -- they said they were preparing it just as it should be prepared. And it was so! Looking forward to coming back.”

“Bought shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, esquites, chicken tacos and guacamole. The only downside is that the chicken tacos were made with dark chicken thigh meat, I wrongly assumed it would be chicken breast (my fault for not asking).Otherwise good decent food!”

“They didn’t have shwarma but still a nice place to stop off and get a bite to eat. My friends and I were craving some Israeli food for Pesach (Passover). Any chance they could get some Aroma coffee in?”

“such a cute cafe! I’ve been wanting to stop by for the longest but never had the time to until recently. I walked in and the gentleman at the register recommended “the Antonio” sandwich…and let me tell you, I came back the next day for another one! It was so good! The 2nd time around, I was able to get my hands on their tarts and they were delicious. Will def continue to make my way in.”

“Lunch here was one of the best I’ve had in recent memory, and I can’t wait to return. We were delightfully surprised when given slices of truly magnificent fluffy, crusty bread and butter. Shrimp po’boy with homemade chips and poke bowl were undeniably fresh and flavorful, each a guaranteed reorder. Love how the shrimp were butterflied to keep the sandwich together. Do not skip dessert here because that means forgoing the carrot cake pie, and you need a slice of that goodness.”
