“I tried the Wintermelon Milk w/ Boba and the Peach Yakult w/ Lychee Jelly (as provided on the Staff Reccs Menu) and they were both amazing— Personally like the Wintermelon one more because I wanted something with milk but both were great.The staff were exceptional and overheard that my girlfiend and I had never really tried Wintermelon before, and they jumped to give us a sample of the tea. First off, amazing to see that there were no added sugars and that all the components of their drinks were individually perfected.We ended up ordering and got our drinks pretty quickly, but while we waited one of the staff members offered us a sample of their pudding topping. It was great to try and extremely kind of the staff to offer, especially because there was no incentive for them to do so as we had already ordered.You can tell that the staff really care about making a great business. I ordered an item from each category: * Grapefruit Green Tea Boba - 9/10 - I liked the grapefruit pulp that was mixed into the boba, because of the different textures. The 50% sugar was the perfect amount of sweetness. * Almond Chocolate Croffle - 7/10 - The croffle tasted a bit stale and it was cold, so I don't think they make it fresh. But, I did like the toppings. * Lychee Rose Ice Cream - 8/10 - I liked the small pieces of lychee throughout the ice cream and the rose flavor was not overbearing. “Love the milk teas here! I always get one when I'm at this mall. (I think there was a different bubble tea shop here before but no matter, they're both really good.) Taro or brown sugar milk teas with boba are my usual tried & trues, but I had a lavender milk tea with lychee jelly recently and it's fantastic! The lavender is subtle and the jelly is ambrosial. Sounds like a bizarre combination but it works! They also do fruit teas and slushies. Would love it if they add rose tea in the future. There is only one size and it's large - the cup quality is nice, not the flimsy kind of flexible plastic that are used at so many bubble tea places. I can actually keep it and reuse. Service was quick and very friendly. I didn't get the name of the girl who took my order but she was lovely. The location is on the 1st floor of the hall section connecting the main mall area to Nickelodeon Universe.“

“Hawa Smoothies is a tiny shop that specializes in acai bowls and smoothies. They have a variety of flavors and variations in fruits and additions like bee pollen, see moss, and hemp protein. I ended up getting a large Acai Punch smoothie ($10) with protein ($1). This was an acai-based smoothie with peanut butter. I should've gotten a small because this drink was HUGE. It was well worth the price. The flavor was also delicious, though I did start to get tired of it halfway through. I tried my friend's fruit smoothie (one of the ones with strawberry and mango) and she thought it was sour, but I thought it was really tasty and refreshing and not sour at all.“

They also offer rice bowls and bubble tea in addition to noodles and sandwiches!The pho is a bit of a southern style, so it comes with herbs to assemble in your bowl. The beef was a bit tough, but it was probably to avoid people saying it was raw, which is the more traditional way to serve. The chicken pho is also good and made a pretty staying breakfast. The noodles are also decently springy and the broth is always hot.Overall, I hope they do well and I will probably be back some time to satisfy my cravings.“

“When it comes to boba, some people prefer milk-based drinks and some, like me, prefer the fruitier tea-based drinks. HeyTea has quickly surpassed Debutea and become my new favorite place for a fruity afternoon pick-me-up. The space is pretty small, but the team works quickly to prepare your drinks and you can always order ahead and pick up in store. I have tried the mulberry boom tea ($6.99) and their signature cheese grape boom tea ($7.49) so far and they have tasted fantastic. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients (as they do include fruit pulp at the bottom of the drinks) and the quality of the tea brewed. I believe they were the first to introduce cheese foam to the market, which does add a sweet, slightly savory cream-cheese-like taste to the fruit teas but in my opinion, I think is unnecessary. The boom teas have a light slushie consistency as the tea and fruit is blended together before being served atop a generous scoop of fruit pulp at the bottom. The grape boom tea, in particular, also comes with slipper little jelly bites which add so much textural delight to the drink. Overall, I've had some delicious drinks so far and look forward to trying out the entire menu at HeyTea. I really hope they open another location downtown soon!“

It was a tragedy! I could feel the tea soaking into my shoes as I imagined sad violin music playing in the distance. The boba is freezing on my driveway as we speak. The restaurant is very clean and organized as it is a new restaurant in Newark. The food is fresh and delicious.
